He is better these days tbh. Initially he looked weird. And his acting in his initial films didn't really impress me. I still don't think he is a bigger star compared to Veer or Varun. But then that's just my opinion. Although I have to add that among my family no one remembers him unless someone explains that he is Jackie's son. He needs more visibility to sustain this success. Especially among non Indians. Movies like PV have done really well among non Indians and has increased Veer's popularity, infact all three stars of PV. Although I have to say I didn't expect Baaghi2 to do well. It looks like he managed to capture single screen audience. If this continues he may very well become the next Salman instead of Varun.

What visibility among non-Indians? You mean Arabs? The Chinese market is all that matters globally. No one knows these celebs there. Deepu has some name recall but not at PC level and Baba just has some few firangi pankhis who drool. Shahid I have no idea but all this is irrelevant. Padmaavat stars are not internationally recognised, except Deepu to an extent.

I think its Tiger+sequel of a successful movie+commercial elements like item songs and other chartbusters+pretty heroine. But the good thing for Tiger is no insider can replace him in the next twenty years. So he is in a much safer zone than anyone else in the industry.

Mixture of several things. Sequel of successful movie...chartbuster songs...people might have loved the trailer...Right timing...not on star power alone else Munna Michael and Flying Jatt wouldn't have performed badly

In my country, majority of the population is non indian(Chinese). I rmb posting this in review threads many times that PV did extremely well here where so far only Aamir films had that kind of welcome. Even BM had somewhat same kind of BO success here. That's what I'm talking about here actually. Pardon me if I'm basing this on my country and my family. I know and have many Chinese fans who used to Aamir fans, now are Veer fans. Ofcourse I'm just talking about actors here. Among actresses, ofcourse your fav is at top.
