Ishita shaked her hand with raman and said -aaj se hum dost, OK.
Raman -main tumhara dost ,kaise, how can I be ur friend. U r so rich aur main, tumhare amma -appa gussa nahi honge.
Ishita -nahi, why will they, they r very good. Aur aap bhi toh achche ho, then why they will be angry.
Raman nodded and shaked him hand with her. Both smiled and look at each other when canteen owner called raman.
Raman -main jaata hoon warna mera maalik daantega.
Ishita -ok but if he scold u again, tell me. I will make him fine. She said and Raman went nodding.
Ishita too went behind him and look at the canteen owner. She buyed two chocolates and gave one to raman. She was going but turn and said to the owner -I am going but listen carefully, if u scold him again I will complain against u. Mere papa police mein hai, he will send u behind the bars. She threatened the canteen boy and went to her class.
The canteen owner get angry hearing her threatening and went to raman. He hold his hand tightly and said -sabse meri shikayat karta hai, mujhe jail bhejwayega. Chal bhaag yahan se. He said and throw him out of his shop. Raman ran inside and said crying -please sahab mat nikalo, Main Kahan jaaunga. Main nahi milunga kabhi usse but please mat nikalo sahab. He cried and pleaded but the owner didn't listen to him. He just throw raman out of his canteen.
Raman went and sat on the corridor not knowing where to go. He was looking at the kids and was crying on his bad luck when someone kept hand on his shoulder.
Raman raise his head and saw ishita standing there.
Ishita -uncle ne aapko phir maara.
Raman nodded in no.
Ishita -then why u r crying.
Raman -he kicked me out of job. Ab main kahan jaaunga kaise jeeunga.mera toh koi ghar bhi nahi. He said crying to which ishita start thinking.
She thought for a while and said -aap ghabrao mat, mere appa police mein hai, woh usse daantenge toh woh aapko rakh lega. Abhi appa aayenge naa toh main uss uncle ki complain kar dungi.
Raman -usse kuch nahi hoga. He will not keep me back. Main bhookha mar jaaunga.
Ishita -nahi aise kaise, aapko bhookh lagi hai. U can eat my tiffin.amma bahut tiffin deti hai, I can't even finish, we can share it. She said trying to console him but he was inconsolable as ishita was small to understand what problem raman might face but Raman do understand well the problem of being homeless and without a job.
Soon ishita classes started and she had to go to her classes while Raman was just sitting at the stairs.
Soon the classes got over, ishita came out and saw raman was sleeping sitting on the stairs keeping his hand under his head. All students went out of the school while ishita walked to him. She sat next to him thinking ways to help him while Raman was just sleeping on the concrete floor. Ishita felt his discomfort and went close to him. He kept his head on her lap and slept comfortably. She was looking at him when she heard-ishu, what u r doing here, I was searching for u. And who is this boy.
Ishita raised her head and saw her appa standing there. She called her appa and told him everything about raman.
Ishita -yeh bahut ro rahen the appa, he was saying that he will die out of hunger. Yeh toh nahi hona chahiye naa,we should do something for him.
Appa was impressed by his daughter's goodness and said -woh toh thik hai kanna but why u r making him sleep in ur lap.
Ishita -i thought he must be missing his amma, inke parent bhi nahi hai. Aise koi kaise soyega. So I thought to help. Hume sabki help karni chahiye naa.
Appa nodded and woke raman up. He got up and got scared seeing appa but ishita assured him that her appa will help him.
Appa took raman with himself and get him admitted in an orphanage. Raman was given a room to live while appa get him admitted in a govt. school also. Raman thanked him alot and appa took ishita home.
Raman started studying hard while ishita was busy in her life. Soon her exams got over and she thought to give her books to raman. She went to his orphanage with her father and gave him the books. He was very happy, ishita and her family come to meet him every Sunday. They have made a nice bond with raman.
Raman was a very intelligent boy, he covered the syllabus very soon and soon he was in ishita's class. But both were in different schools. Seeing Raman's intelligence, the school authority make him jump two classes and soon he was in class eleven while ishita was in eight. They have also given him scholarship. Raman's life was very much better then before. He has developed affection for ishita but don't have courage to name it as love, so he call ishita as his best friend and mentor while for ishita Raman was her best friend and protector.
One day, Raman was sitting in the park waiting for ishita.
Raman -yeh ishita kyun nahi aayi ab tak, she had to ask some questions from me. He was saying when he saw ishita coming to him .
She came and sat next to him. He was about to ask reason for being late but stopped seeing red mark on her white cheek.
Raman -arey ishita, yeh kya hua??
Ishita cried and said -mere tutor ne mujhe maara.
Raman got angry hearing this and asked-kyun??
Ishita -coz I told him that u r more intelligent then him. Toh kya galat kaha, aap intelligent ho. U r more sharp then him. Maine toh sach hi bola tha, and he slapped me hard. She said crying.
Raman-tumne apni amma ko bataya??
Ishita nodded in yes and said -but amma scolded me, for talking nonsense in place of studying. Mujhe nahi padhna usse, he is bad. Aap kuch karo, I want u to teach me.
Raman -main, Main kaise. U know naa I am not qualified enough to teach u.
Ishita -kyun Aap mujhse badi class mein padhte hai.
Raman -but I don't study in big school like urs, aur tumhare tutor toh graduate hai.
Ishita -so what, I still want to study with u. i don't know anything , mujhe aapse padhna hai bas.aap kuch bhi kariye, I just want u to teach me. she said with a grumpy face making Raman smile.
Raman -ok, Main uncle se baat karna hoon. Agar woh haan kahenge toh I will teach u. He said making ishita smile.
They spend some time together and then he went to her house. As ishita was growing up, amma don't like her friendship with raman. She always told ishita to break friendship with raman but she never listen to amma.
Amma made a face seeing raman when ishita said -appa, I have talked to him. Ab se raman mujhe padhayenge.
Amma -yeh kya keh rahi ho kanna, how can he teach u. Woh toh khud, she was saying when appa said -madhu, it's not about school. Raman is intelligent, usne bahut jaldi bahut classes cross kiya hai. I think we should give him a chance. Aur agar isne achcha padhaya toh we can help him in opening a coaching class. Isse iski kuch earning bhi ho jayegi.
Ishita got happy hearing this and said -haan appa, Main apni saari friends ko le aaungi then Raman will get lots of money. She said happily making appa and Raman smile.
Soon a room in their house was given to raman to start a small coaching centre and ishita was his first student.
