CHAPTER 20
Sidharth tossed and turned, but couldn't get himself to sleep...
One thing he had realised was that how peaceful he was feeling all of a sudden. He was feeling ecstatic. He felt as if he was flying. He felt liberated
"Stupid! Idiot! Ullu! That's what I am!" He complained "How can I be so stupid to figure out something so simple...ghaddah...yeah that's right I'm a ghaddah!"
He sat up, and kept a pillow on his lap..
He started recalling her beautiful face, and a smile touched his lips and started reciting a poem
Door hota hai jab bhi naino se woh
Kyon tham si jaati hai yeh meri saansein?
Hai meri rooh ko ya keen woh hai ek not am at
Sansein mein uske yeh umar beet Jaye
Uski ankhon mein ab yeh dil kho jaye

Sidharth let out a sigh, "I need to talk to her. That's right I need to talk to her right now!" and after giving some thought, he grabbed his keys and rushed out of the house.
As he reached outside Roshni house, he saw the whole house decoated with lights. He felt an unsettling feeling in the pit of his stomach.
He had to see Roshni. He had to tell her how he felt. He had already wasted enough time.
As he was about to get out of the car he saw DD, Roshni and Samarendra with family. coming out
Sidharth looked down at his mobile
"Like seriously. Its 12am, don't they have a home to go to. Lechar kahin ka!" he hissed looking at Samarendra.
He hated him so much..
His grip on the steering wheel became tighter, as flashes of his Roshni and that stupid Samarendra engagement came to his mind. He punched it hard as he could, trying to get his frustration out.
"Damn! Why did I say no to the proposal" he cursed himself
What felt like an eternity, he finally saw Samarendra and his family leaving. Instantly made his way towards her home
With great difficulty, he snuck into her house and saw the entire clan, sitting happily together, discussing how eventful the day had been, smiling and giggling.
"How can they be so happy, after creating havoc in my life! Meri zindagi barbad karke. yahan bait ke haas rahen" He fumed to himself
His gaze turned to Roshni and a small smile automatically made its appearance. Roshni sat quietly..and hadn't uttered a word.
Slowly Sidharth made his way upstairs to a room, which he assumed was her room. .
He waited and waited...and waited
As soon as he heard footsteps, he hid behind the door, praying it was Roshni
Luckily enough it was her...
As soon as she walked in, his eyes fell to the hideous ring she was wearing and he felt his rage coming back.
He grabbed her and pinned her to the nearest wall, as tight as he could, with his body.
Before she could scream Sidharth covered her mouth.
Her eyes widened and she gasped at the sudden attack.
Her eyes fluttered in shock, but it was enough to calm him down.
"Surprise! " he said smiling
Roshni narrowed her eyes, as she tried to push him backwards, but her efforts were in vain
"Ssshhh...Relax okay...I'm removing my hand but promise me you won't scream!" Sidharth requested, while looking straight into her eyes. The moment their eyes met she stopped protesting. That's when he removed his hand from her mouth
However the silence didn't last
"Mr Khurana!! What the Hell are you doing here. Leave me.." Roshni whispered angrily, though she made no efforts to get out of his grip
"Never!" replied Sidharth shaking his head in a no, as he gripped her tighter
"Sidharthhh" she was almost pleading with her eyes, but Sidharth shifted his body even closer to hers. They were so close that they could hear each others heart beats.
At that moment they were so lost in each other that they forgot the existence of the outside world.
"Sidharth" she whispered again, breathlessly breaking the moment
"Hayye! My name sounds so nice from your lips ..." whispered Sidharth, and Roshni gave him "have you lost it look!"
"Have you been drinking? Pee ke aiye ho Kya?" She asked, as she slowly leaned in to smell his breath
"No I haven't been drinking.. but haan tumhare nazron se pee hai. Khuda ki KASAM ab umar sari naashe mein guzar jayegi" replied Sidharth dreamingly
"Just shut up okay, and come to the point and tell me what the HELL you are doing here in my bedroom at this time of night?"
"Arre I came to see you...I really missed you"
"Really? You came here just to tell me that you missed me? Why? Four years later you realised you missed me! Is this some sort of sick joke?" Roshni whispered loudly.
"No. It's not a Joke! I seriously missed you!"
Roshni looked at him unbelievably "You expect me too believe this bullshit!"
Sidharth brushed his fingers through her hair "Actually...ah I have a question" he smiled sheepishly as Roshni patience began to run out
"A question. You sneak into my house..in the wee hours of the morning to ask me a question!!!!! HAVE YOU LOST IT"
Sidharth closed his eyes for a moment...
"Gussa baad mein karlena...and listen. I wanted to know...ah...ah... is this an arranged marriage...or..love marriage" Sidharth asked the question which was killing him for so long
"Excuse me! That is none of your business"
Sidharth furrowed his eyebrows "Of course it's my business.
And by the way How long have you known that idiot" he asked, as he shifted his body even closer to her, if that was even possible, waiting for her response
"Just a few days" replied Roshni looking away, trying not to get intoxicated with his manly scent
"So you decided to marry a complete stranger!" He complained, when suddenly a thought struck his mind
"Wait a minute was it Love at first sight..." he hissed, trying desperately to read her eye. Although he didn't mean to sound rude, but unfortunately his anger was getting the best of him.
Roshni flinched because of his unusual behaviour, but didn't reply because in that moment she felt that somehow Sidharth was hurt because of the engagement. But why?
She decided to put an end to his stupid conversation
"Look. It's my life. My decision! I can do whatever I please. It shouldn't matter to you whether it is Love or not!"
"Bl**dy Hell its my business! Really. How you agreed to marry someone whom you know nothing about?" His voice stern
"Like I said NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!"
"When it comes to you...It is my BUSINESS!" He hissed scaring Roshni
"No it isn't" she whimpered
Sidharth held her hand suddenly and looked at the ring
"How could you get engaged to somebody else! "
Roshni stood still for a moment trying to understand what the hell he was trying to say
She stared blankly for a moment and then
"What the Hell is wrong with you Sidharth. My engagement my business. It has nothing to do with you. And why does it matter to you if I am engaged or not. The last I heard you rejected the proposal of marriage...so now why are you here.."
"I...I...know I rejected the proposal, and I hate myself for it. If I could, I would turn back time..and change whatever happened. But I can't. All I know is that you can't get married to some loser like that Samar whatever! "
"His name is Samarendra!" She replied sarcastically
"Whatever" retorted Sidharth
Roshni just looked at him confused, and then realised he still had his grip on her "Sidharth let me go! I don't know what is going on in that mind of yours, but whatever it is I DON'T CARE! Now leave.."
"No i won't leave until I clear my feelings to you"
"What feelings..."
He looked at her lovingly. Can't she feel this chemistry we have together. Can't she feel this connection we both share. Can't she see the desire and craving in my eyes for her.
He was lost in his thoughts
Without giving him a chance to explain himself "Mr Khurana. I have no idea why you have come here.. but I think you should leave right now ..." she said turning her face away..anger evident in her tone
Sidharth felt his heart sink, and suddenly cupped her face, and placed his forehead against hers...
"I know your angry. ..but trust me Roshni, I have no idea what happened all those years ago..but whatever happened...I can guarantee meri koi galti nahin thi. I swear..I swear Roshni. I could never hurt you"
Roshni looked up at him, trying to believe his words...
They shared an eye lock for a moment...and slowly Roshni body began to tremble due the proximity. She was scared being near him Sidharth could sense she was uncomfortable, and tried to lighten the mood
"Waise. ..I'm a little angry" he said making an adorable pout
"Excuse me!"
"How could you do that to me! "
"What? .What did I do?"
"What did you do!!!! You're seriously asking me that" his tone a little loud
"Sidharth what's wrong with you. Have you totally lost it over the years"
"Nothing is wrong with me, it's you who is wrong!"
"Sidharthhh!" she almost screamed
"Sssh. Can you please calm down, before somebody hears you and gets the wrong idea..?" he teased
"No..I can't calm down!. I am engaged to someone else and you being here can jeopardise that!"
Sidharth grip on her loosened as he stepped back dejected. It felt as if someone had dropped a huge bomb on him. Was she happy to be with Samarendra?
Roshni looked at him, and observed the change in his behaviour, trying to read his thoughts
But she couldn't understand
"No...No..." and he suddenly grabbed her again
"Do you love him?"
Roshni hissed in pain..as she looked at into his eyes
"That is none of your business. .now leave me"
He pushed her into the wall, pressing his body against hers tightly.
"DO YOU LOVE HIM?" He whispered almost angrily, against her cheek
"Sidharth! " she gasped again from the sudden proximity...
He clutched her hair tight in his hand and pushed her head back, her body pressed against the wall with his..
"Sidharth" she became breathless by the closeness
"What's wrong with you. Why are you behaving like this?"
"I asked a simple question. .now give me a simple answer. Do you love him? "
Roshni was frightened by Sidharth behaviour but she finally admitted that she did not love Samarendra
"It's an arranged marriage. ..I don't love him" she whispered, her lips trembling "Happy!"
Sidharth let out a sigh of relief..
"Thank God..." He let go of her hair, and place his hand around her waist
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to frighten you"
Her perfume reached his nose, and made his heart flutter. It was so exotic...
His hands were itching to touch her. To run his fingers through her long silky brown stresses...and without thinking he tightened his grip around her waist
"Sidharth..." her voice was so sweet...music to his ears
"Roshni we...We. .. need to talk" he looked at her, as a he was tearing up...
She took a deep breath "We have nothing to talk about. Now get the Hell out of my house before somebody comes?" She scolded, looking towards her bedroom door
"Yes we do...Roshni...We need to talk about...Our feelings...my feelings"
Roshni whole body stiffened "Feelings? What feelings. What are you talking about Sidharth" She asked utterly confused
"I love you Roshni..." he said suddenly, catching Roshni of guard "I love you so damn much!"
There was a few minutes of silence. Awkward silence as she just stared at him
"Roshni..." he whispered softly
"You ...you what!" She screamed, her eyes widened in shock
Sidharth quickly placed a hand over her mouth again
"Ssshhh marwogi kya" and Roshni just batted her eyelids..shocked...
"You heard me..I love you. I always have and I always will. You belong to me Roshni. Only me...and I'm going to make you mine..."
He slowly removed his hand, and his thumb brushed against her lips "No one can take you away from me. Not even in your dreams:
He pushed his body further into hers making her shudder. She was sandwiched between his body and the wall.
Roshni stood still. She didn't try to push him away. She didn't protest to the proximity. She was confused. Her mind was not in control anymore...
"Sidharth...what are you saying. You...you love me...you're joking right?." she asked again, trying to keep her sanity
"Ssshhh..."
She closed her eyes as he entertwined his fingers with hers and pinned her hands to the wall
"I love you Roshni. ..It took me four years to realise what you mean to me...and there is no way in hell that I'm going to lose you. Not now. Not Ever..." he whispered as his nose traced down her cheek
"Do you love me...Roshni?" He waited impatiently for her reply
She remained silent
"Do you love me..." he was desperate to hear those three words from her lips...but she remained silent. Shocked
"Its okay..if you don't. .I'll make you fall in love with me..." he whispered seductively into her ear. His lips gently brushed against them..
Roshni stood still. Her mind numb
"I love you Roshni...you belong to me" and he found himself closing the gap between their lips
Just as he was about to kiss her Nani walked into the room
"Roshni. .woh" her sentence was left incomplete as she saw Roshni and Sidharth in the most compromising position ever
Sidharth stepped back, realising the situation, and smiled meekly at Nani
He turned his gaze back to Roshni, who was still in shocked at what had just happened
"I...I..." she tried to say something, but the words did not leave her throat...
Nani looked at him from head to toe...before she turned to Roshni
"Roshni if you could excuse us for a minute. .I need to talk to him...Sidharth I assume. ."
Sidharth nodded his head...and Roshni quickly left the room
Sidharth began to fidget with his fingers wondering what to do
"Sidharth hi...I'm sexy!"
Sidharth eyes popped open...
"Excuse me..." thinking she was hitting on him
"I'm sexy" she repeated with a smile
Sidharth swallowed hard as he looked her up and down
"If you say so" he whispered. ..but his words were not gone unheard by Nani. .who burst out laughing
Sidharth wondered what the joke was
"Sidharth silly...I'm Roshni Nani. She calls me Sexy pyaar se! "
"Oooh! " Sidharth let out a sigh of relief, knowing his izzat was safe...
Nani took a deep breath, before she spoke
"Did you tell her?" She asked as she raised her eyebrows
"Tell who...what?" Asked Sidharth confused
"That you love Roshni! "
Sidharth whole body stiffened. How did Nani know,
What had just happened between him and Roshni
"Woh...woh. .." he stammered unable to keep himself steady
Nani took another deep breath, trying to control her emotions.
She placed a hand on his shoulders and gestured him to sit.
Sidharth did as he was told...still a little nervous. ..
"I'm asking you again, and this time you need to answer me" her eyes turned hard and he knew she wouldn't let him go without an answer
"Do you love her?... YES or NO!:
Sidharth nodded his head "More than my life. I love her with all my being. She means everything to me!"
His eyes screamed the love he had for her. ...
"Finally! " sighed Nani
Sidharth looked at her in confusion so she continued
"Roshni told me all about you... your friendship. .your fight. Everything. Those few days she spent in your college. I have never seen Roshni happier. She used to talk about you all the time.. Sidharth ne yeh kiya. Sidharth ne woh kiya. The sparkle she had in her eyes when she talked about you was something else. Then that day..When she fought with you. Misunderstanding right. ..."
Sidharth nodded
"After she came home, something inside her changed. And that sparkle that was once in her eyes vanished. and I never saw that spark again.." She wiped away her tear
Sidharyh felt a wave a guilt...even though he was innocent
"But...But How did you know I was Sidharth? I mean you were not at the engagement"
"That night when you dropped Roshni home, that rainy night, after saving her from some weirdo...I saw you from the terrace...The way you watched her leave. I knew then that you loved her"
Sidharth chuckled "i wish you had told me then, i wouldn't have wasted four years in realising my own feelings for her.. and today I would be engaged to Roshni and not that asshole..."
Nani pretended to frown... "Asshole?"
Sidharth held his ears
"Do you want to know a little secret Sidharth"
He nodded cutely "I don't like that Asshole either" she winked..bringing a 1000 Walt smile to his face "Seriously"
Nani nodded "Seriously...You know Sidharth..my Roshni has perfect eyesight. She never needed those stupid spectacles:
Her words took Sidharth by surprise
"Then why did she wear those spectacles?"
"She did it for me...me and my stupid supertitions"
Nani narrated how her beauty was a curse for her, and how the pandit had advised them to underdressed Roshni appearance
"I know I was wrong, and she suffered a lot taunts because of my fears"
"No Nani. You did what you thought was best for Roshni. I understand. But spectacle or no spectacle. I've always thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. Always! " he smiled as he became dreamy in his thoughts of her
"So now what Sidharth. You love her..But she's engaged to somebody else! So what are you planning to do about it"
Sidharth chuckled mischievously "Don't worry Sexy. Her engagement is just a Minor Hitch!" He winked mischievously
Taking hold of her hand "Do you think some stupid ring will keep me away from my Roshni? NO WAY!" he chuckled
"Roshni belongs to me. If anyone is going to marry my Roshni..then that is me. Only I have rights on her" he said confidently, making Nani smile with him
"I like your style" praised Nani...
"By the way did Roshni say she loves you too?" asked Nani excited
Sidharth scrunched up his face
"No. Not yet. But dont take tension. I'll make her confess. And if she doesn't love me. I'll make her fall in love with me. After all how long can she resist my Charm" he said winking
"And what about Samarendra ..."
"What about him..." teased Sidharth, to which Nani let out a small chuckle
"Jokes apart...its going to be a battle between Samarendra and me. And the best man will marry Roshni. And you and I know, that will be me" Sidharth said proudly..
"Itna confidence on yourself" asked Nani
Sidharth brushed his fingers through his thick hair No Nani...i have confidence in my love"
Nani smiled
"Ah Nani whose side are you on?.Team Sidharth. .ya Team Samar whatever"
Nani tapped her finger on her chin
"Hmm difficult choice...let me think.." and after a few minutes she smiled
"Team Sidharth Always" she said lovingly pulling his nose
Sidharth grin widened as he hugged her
"Love you Nani Ma"
Nani pulled out of the hug
"Don't call me Nani Ma! It makes me feel so old...call me Sexy" she winked
Sidharth laughed and hugged her "Love you Sexy"
As he hugged her, Nani sighed
"You know what your biggest task is going to be..."
Sidharth shrugged his shoulders "Getting Roshni to confess her feelings for me:
"No" Nani replied shaking her head
"Then?"
"Winning over Durga. ..If you win her samjo Roshni tumhari!"
Sidharth closed hs eyes remembering the way he had talked to DD that day
"Me and my big Mouth. Please God saath dena"
NEXT MORNING
Sidharth stood in front of the mirror with a sheepish smile on his face. He started blushing slightly even with the mere thought of Roshni name. He just wanted to be with her all the time. .
She had cast a spell on him, The spell of LOVE, And it gave him peace and sensations he had never felt before.
He had to make her his, otherwise he would loose his insanity.
"Soon Roshni soon. I will eliminate the distance between us. I will eliminate everything that is keeping you away from me. Soon you will be mine. I promise.
You won't be Roshni Patel for long, because soon you are going to become Roshni Sidharth Khurana.
Soon you will be mine. And we will be together forever"
Sidharth paced up and down..when Karan finally arrived
"KARAN! Itni der." Shrieked Sidharth as he gave him a tight hug
"Wow Someone is in a very good mood today" asked Karan scratching his head..
"Yes. I'm in the bestest mood ever. .And do you wanna know why! "
Karan just bobbed his head up and down
"I finally admitted to myself I LOVE HER Karan...I LOVE HER SO MUCH"
Karan looked at him suspiciously "I hope your not talking about Misha " he dared to ask
"Very funny. I'm in love with Roshni. Deeply hopelessly in love with her" he sighed dreamingly
Now it was Karan turn to hug him..As he smiled
"Finally! For once you used your brain properly"
Sidharth couldn't stop smiling, but Karan smile slowly faded as he remembered Roshni was now engaged
"But Seriously Sid. You have messed up big time!"
Sidharth creased his forehead "Matlab?"
"She got engaged yesterday remember! Now what!"
Sidharth scrunched up his face
"Oh thatI I know. Just a minor hitch..but it's okay..I have a plan" he smiled mischievously
"Whoa wait...you what...what are you planning Sid?"
"It's simple. I'll prove I'm the better man for Roshni. Make Roshni fall in love with me, and then make SaasuMom forgive me. After which we will break of that stupid engagement, so that we can marry and life happily ever after!" he said all in one go
Karan studied him for a moment
"Mental Home chale" " Karan asked seriously
"Huh!" Asked Sidharth bewildered
"I think the remaining lose screws you had, have finally fallen..."
"Excuse me!" Muttered Sidharth offended
"Kya whayaat plan hai!That's the worst plan I have ever heard" he replied whilst Sidharth made a cute pout
"No...its the perfect plan" he smiled...
