Rishi Kapoor is known for speaking out his mind. The veteran actor never shies away from talking about or against anything or anyone.

The actor said that there are a lot of actors in the film industry who don't know what acting is. "You see, actors will have to change their approach. Eventually, only actors will survive, stars won't. Stars will fade out. The system of being just good looking and bagging a good film that kind of cinema female or male both will [soon] finish. You have to be a good actor. I shouldn't be saying this but there are a lot of so-called actors also in this cinema who bloody don't know what acting is all about," said the actor.

When Rishi Kapoor was asked his views on how Hindi films are travelling to international film festivals but are not getting the kind of response expected, he said, "I don't think film festivals make any significant difference to the industry. Barring a few, we don't make films for festivals. We generally make them for a large audience. As a matter of fact, we mostly make commercial films."

You must be kidding. Maybe he isn't as hyped up like his son. But why would he target Varun who actually has been praised immensely for most his films whether comic timing or intense role in Badlapur. He has received many acclaims for Badlapur, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and even looks more promising with October and Sui Dhaaga. He has most promising roles that even Ranbir was chasing for.

Maybe it's you. Not Rishi who feels that way.

where and how did you come up with varun? he is NOT known as a wooden plank like sid/john etc

also rishi should stop worrying about these stars who cannot act..even without acting..they are still doing better than his son..he should worry more about his future..

Well filhaal to its his actor' son whose finding it hard to survive and is almost on the fading line ...there goes his theory then 😆

And the fact is every star is an actor but not every actor is a star( this whole diffrence and shit abt stars not being actors is pure rubbish how can u become a star if people dont connect with or like what u do onscreen 😕 )

Every word he said is true except for the looks will fade part.

Half of the starvkids out there are surviving BECAUSE OF looks.

Also all the firangi models are there Cos of looks

I dont see anyone fading out apart from HIS OWN SON. Even Sonam will remain in headlines for she has make herself a fashion brand.

Salman will fade?? He has been THE STAR for almost all his life even after so many courtcases his fanbase has increased n is 'one of the biggest'

Katrina honestly faded out while she was with his son, though I believe she can't act but she has Remained A star n has bounced back again even if not a No1 she is in the race still.

He should give his peice of advice to his son n his relatives who tried n vanished in BW even after THE KAPOOR TAG
