The latest piece of info from our trade circles is that the talented Ranveer Singh is not interested in taking on any more south remakes. He wishes to experiment, look out for unique stories and explore territories which he hasn't yet explored. The actor has set a high standard for himself with the kind of films he has done in the recent past like Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani, Goliyon Ki Rasleela- Ram Leela. He has been immensely appreciated and loved for his brilliant performances.


Presently, he is shooting for Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy which again speaks volumes of originality and uniqueness of the story. Ranveer also lost a lot of weight to fit in the character. He leaves no stone unturned to giving it his all. His rapping in the film will be the icing on the cake. And then he has Rohit Shetty's Simmba, a complete potboiler masala film, which is the more or less remake of a south hit, Temper. Trust Ranveer to add more oomph and dynamism to it. And now imagine the outcome. So we have a lot to look forward to from Ranveer.



The actor has instructed his team to filter out these kinds of films, leaving him with unique and unexplored subjects. We've seen how he takes his characters to a completely different level with his hard work, dedication and talent. Like he did with his character, Khilji in Padmaavat, or what he did with Bajirao in Bajirao Mastani leaving the audiences spellbound with his acting chops. We would definitely love to watch Ranveer Singh take the road less travelled!
