Since the wedding was brought up... Again, something I made a while ago for the anniversary thread:

This wedding was beyond words... by far the most beautiful I've seen on-screen. Sure there was no mangalsutra, no mantra, no holy fire, no sindoor, no vows made... but there was a metaphorical thread bound that day that binds them still, there was the beautiful echoing music in the background as they became man and wife, there was a fire constructed by Omkara - I speak not of the physical one, but of the internal one... he was going to save Gauri no matter what it took, there was his blood colouring her parting and signifying their new relation and there was the joining of souls with the presence of divinity all around. Atif Khan directed this to perfection and Shrenu Parikh and Kunal Jaisingh excelled in making it phenomenal. I won't be able to give this wedding true justice, but coincidentally @rikarafan1 wrote something beautiful on it today and has agreed to let me post it here:

Their wedding was something else altogether. It had tension. It gave a sense of righteousness. For me, it's one properly written and executed scene and it was aesthetically perfect. Om was blinded by his past but couldn't see the injustice being done to her. His actions went well with his character. The way he told the villagers that they didn't have any right to punish someone that way. And his slight concern when she wasn't able to walk. His confusion on whether to leave her or save her. The way his heart won over his mind and he came back for her unable to see her getting stabbed. Gauri knew he hated her but she also knew that was just a facade, that he was not what he pretends to be and he was badly affected by something in his past. That made her save his life. That made her sought his help even if she knew he hated her. Her unwavering faith in her shankarji brought Om into her life which was clearly shown in the background during the marriage. (The shiva's statue) The sheer relief on her mother's face when she saw her daughter getting married The relief that she was safe and that she would be. Gauri's expression after he fills her maang. It was a mix of shock, comfort and belongingness. It had everything. Everything.

Even if there is a remarriage track (which is not possible) it can never beat their first marriage.

Wedding and both their confessions too! Hands down the best I have ever seen-not to forget the brilliant performances! ⭐️

I loved how well timed they were, I know many people who were upset cause "the journey" of falling in love was missing but I loved the timing of the confession, I think it was pretty apt. Its just downright stupid to confess a million years after marriage, lol. Like what's the point then? Anyway! Whatever scraps and pieces of RiKara we got were brilliant, you have to stitch them together to form a coherent story yourself but it was all worth it.
