Sridevi is on her last journey before her cremation takes place. The veteran actor is adorned in her favourite saree and is surrounded by her loved ones including daughter Janhvi Kapoor.
It's time to bid adieu to the first lady superstar of Bollywood as Sridevi's funeral will take place shortly. The Chandni of Bollywood breathed her last on February 24, 2018, in Dubai owing to accidental drowning.
Before the funeral, a condolence meet was held and many Bollywood celebrities came to pay their last respects to the veteran actor.
Post the condolence meet, Sridevi was accorded State Honours and was wrapped in the tricolour as the actor adorned her favourite red and golden kanjeevaram saree.
She is being taken to the cremation site in an ornamented truck which has a huge photo frame of the gorgeous actor. Standing by her side are Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Mohit Marwah along with daughter Janhvi Kapoor.
Janhvi was inconsolable as she stood by her mother for the last time and Boney was seen hugging his daughter.
Janhvi will be turning 21 next week on March 7 and this will be her first birthday without her mother.
Earlier, when a leading daily asked Sridevi if Boney or she were more of a friend to their daughters, the actor revealed, "They are friendly with both of us. Khushi is closer to Boneyji and Janhvi is closer to me. Janhvi, I feel is more like me absolutely obedient. I remember... once my mom narrated an incident about me to her friends. She had asked me to sit on the compound wall of our building as she was talking to the neighbours. Suddenly, she realised she had left something in the kitchen, so she told me, Sit here. I will just come.' She went and got busy with other things and after two hours, she remembered that she left her daughter sitting on the wall. She came running out to meet me and found me sitting quietly in the same position she had left me! My mother asked me, Why didn't you call out to me?' I said, But you told me to sit here...' She told everybody this story about what an obedient child I was. At the same time, Khushi is also obedient, but will not sit on the wall for two hours, but I think Jaanu will... Both my children are extremely attached to us. Janhvi seeks more attention from me while Khushi can manage things on her own. Though Janhvi's grown up now, sometimes I still have to feed her. She won't eat properly at certain times so I have to make sure that she eats properly. Sometimes she tells me to put her to sleep so all these nakhras she does. Khushi has always been a very independent person right since childhood."
