Beginning of a new relationship
This OS is timelined in post Pooja's wedding sequence when the final exams are now over and the school has given them holidays before the next session starts. Sameer had helped Arjun in becoming the man of the match and he was selected for the state team. But still his bitterness towards Sameer had not lessened even a bit. Naina was very upset with his behaviour towards Sameer... and now that school holidays were going on, Naina wasn't able to meet Sameer... only small conversations on phone were possible nowadays.
Once she was talking to him on phone and Arjun who had come to take his cricket kit from his room...noticed her talking... seeing her smiling while talking... he felt something uncomfortable.
Arjun: Naina yeh kis se baat kar rahi hai?
Naina (startled to see him): Bhaiya aap... wo...wo...kuchh nahi... wo Swati se baat kar rahi hu...
Arjun: achha Swati se baat kar rahi hai...la meri baat kara usse... main bhi to uska haal chaal poochu...(he could see her eyes which were down and he understood that she is lying)
Naina was scared to see him coming close to the phone...Sameer who could hear this from the other side immediately understood the situation and he kept the phone down. Arjun took the receiver and tried talking to Swati but as expected the call had been disconnected. He stared at Naina angrily...
Arjun: to tu Swati se baat kar rahi thi... To kahan gayi wo... wo bhi darti hai mujhse haan... Naina dekh...itna bewakoof nahi hu main jo main samajh na saku kit u us Sameer se hi baat kar rahi thi... tujhe kitna mana kiya maine ki usse baat na karne ko...aur usse door rehne ko... tujhe samajh nahi aati kya? Tu kya chahti hai ki main sab kuchh Papa ko bata du?
Naina: nahi...nahi Bhaiya...
Arjun: to jaisa maine kaha hai waisa hi karna... ise sujhaav nahi warning samajhna... warna mujhse bura koi nahi hoga...samjhi...
Naina started crying as he left from there and she immediately rushed to Shefali's house. She knocked the door and as Shefali opened the door... Naina hugged her and burst out crying. She was shocked to see her like this and took her inside. She asked her what had happened and Naina narrated the phone incident. She didn't know what to do now and she wanted Shefali to help her.
Shefali: Naina tujhe pata hai na ki hum dono ki ab ek doosre se baat nahi hoti jab se wo us cricket match mein achha perform nahi kar paya tha aur tere Papa ne mujhse use door rehne ko kaha tha. Uski problem pata hai kya hai...ki wo kabhi apna koi decision le hi nahi paata... Wo sirf apne Papa ke sapne poore karne mein...unhe khush karne mein hi laga rehta hai... main yeh nahi kehti ki aisa karna galat hai ...par uske liye apni soch ko itna chhota kar lena uske liye theek nahi hai...wo samajh hi nahi pa raha hai ki wo apne Papa ke pressure mein apni identity kho raha hai... isliye wo kahin na kahin Sameer se jealousy rakhne laga hai... kyunki wo jaanta hai ki Sameer usse kahin zyada achha hai...
Naina: par ab main kya karu Shefali...meri zindagi mein Bhaiya aur Sameer sabse zyada important hain...aur ab in dono mein hi nahi banti... main kiska saath du... kuchh samajh nahi aata kya karu?
Shefali: koi na koi raasta nikal hi aayega...tu chinta mat kar...sab kuchh waqt ke saath theek ho jayega... achha tu wo sab chhod...kal mera birthday hai... main soch rahi hu ki ek party rakhu... Tujhe, Preeti, Swati sab ko bulana chahti hu...tu aayegi na...
Naina: aur Sameer...
Shefali: oho... to meri Naina apne Salman Khan se milne ko tadap rahi hai... chal theek hai... use aur uske doston ko bhi bula lungi...ab theek hai...
Naina blushed and smiled at hearing this... After so many days she could see him... How much she was missing him and same was his situation... he was desperately waiting to meet her...so when Shefali called him and invited for her birthday party... he happily agreed.
In the evening, Shefali was returning from the market after shopping for her birthday party, Arjun was returning from his cricket practice. While going inside, she stumbled as she couldn't see a stone lying in her way and she stepped on that stone... she was about to fall when Arjun came there and held her and prevented her from falling down. Shefali was shocked at this sudden turn of events and she balanced herself. Arjun kept on staring at her while she was picking up the shopping bags. She saw him standing there as if wanting to talk to her but she didn't want to initiate the conversation as he again might blame her for something which she didn't do. She turned around and started to go inside. He called her from behind...she turned around surprised...
Arjun: Shefali kuchh kahogi nahi...
Shefali: oh yes...main to bhool hi gayi...thank you...thanks ki tumne mujhe girne se bachaya... and she again was about to leave when he again stopped her...
Arjun: Shefali...kya baat hai...tumne to baat karna hi band kar diya? Ab tak naraz ho?
Shefali: nahi... bas main tumhare aur koi ilzaam sunne ke liye tayaar nahi hu... mujhe pata hai...ki tumhare saath kuchh bhi galat ho...tumhe aur tumhare Papa ko mujhe hi blame karna hota hai...so isse better hai ki main tumse baat na karu... theek hai... ab mujhe bahut kaam hai...main chalti hu...bye...and thank you once again...
She went inside and Arjun kept on standing there disheartened...how much he was desperate to talk to her was clearly visible on his face... he had no friends as he never could make friends with anyone... he has been trying to fulfil is father's ambitions since childhood and in trying to do so... where he lost his childhood ... He didn't even realise. It was the first time he found a friend in Shefali...but he lost her too because of his lack of self confidence. He left from there and kept on thinking about her ... He recalled all those moments he spent with her while he was coaching her for cricket...the way she had come close to him... she had managed to make a place in his heart...but he knew their friendship won't be acceptable to his father. So he decided as always to think only about his father's dream ... to see him become a successful cricketer... Nothing else was more important for him.
He saw Naina and Preeti packing something in their room...
Arjun: yeh kya kar rahi ho tum dono?
Preeti : Arjun Bhaiya wo kal Shefali ka birthday hai na to hum uske liye gift pack kar rahe hain...usne kal apne ghar pe party rakhi hai...
Arjun: Shefali ka birthday hai? usne mujhe bataya bhi nahi... Haan mujhe kyun batayegi...main koi uska dost thode hi hu? He thought and left from there...
Naina: Preeti yeh tune kya kiya? Agar Arjun Bhaiya wahan aa gaye to...
Preeti: wo wahan kyun aane lage? Unhe thodi bulaya hai? tu chinta mat kar...unhe kuchh pata nahi chalega... wo nahi aayenge...
Arjun kept on thinking about Shefali all through the night...he was feeling dejected because she didn't call him on his birthday party... somewhere his heart wanted him to wish her on her birthday... but how? Shall he go to her house without an invitation? What would she think about him? All such thoughts kept on crowding his mind and he went to the balcony ... It was around midnight and he was surprised to see Shefali strolling in the lawn and looking towards the sky and the stars... she looked so beautiful in that dim light of the moon and a lone street light there... he said to himself...Happy Birthday Shefali... I am sorry...mujhe maaf kar do seeing her there sort of ended his dilemma... he decided to go to her home and wish her and start a new friendship with her once again... he couldn't lose his only friend. He smiled to himself and went inside to sleep.
Next afternoon Naina, Preeti and Swati went to Shefali's house where already Sameer, Munna and Pandit had come. All of them were very happy to meet each other... especially Sameer and Naina and Munna and Swati... after Shefali's mom served them cold drinks...she left for her work telling Shefali that everything was ready in the kitchen and they should help themselves as she had an urgent meeting to attend...she soon would be back . After she left, Shefali told Sameer and Naina to spend some time together in her room while the others kept on chatting to each other there. They both were very happy with her generosity and they went to her room. They were talking to each other about they missed each other and he kept on teasing her as usual when Preeti came there and called them for the cake cutting ceremony.
Shefali was about to cut the cake when someone knocked the door. Swati went to open the door thinking that Shefali's mom might have come back ...she was shocked to see Arjun standing there. He came inside to wish Shefali...but was shocked to see the boys trio there and he was furious like hell...
Arjun: tum teeno yahan kya kar rahe ho? Naina maine mana kiya tha na ki isse nahi milna ...na hi baat karna...fir...
Shefali: Arjun inhe maine bulaya hai... tum shayad bhool rahe ho ki yeh mera ghar hai... aur yeh meri birthday party hai... to main jise chahe invite kar sakti hu... tum Naina se aise baat nahi kar sakte...
Arjun: pata hai mujhe...ki yeh tumhara ghar hai...lekin main apni behen ko is ladke ke aas paas bhi nahi dekh sata...Naina , Preeti chalo yahan se...
Naina: lekin Bhaiya...
But he didn't listen to her and he pulled her from there... While he was dragging Naina from there...Sameer stopped Arjun midway and told him that he can't take her away against her wish. Arjun left her hand and instead held him by his collar and threatened to kill him there and then if he dared to come close to his sister. Munna and Pandit tried to help Sameer but he stopped them...
Sameer: Arjun tumhari problem kya hai?
Arjun: meri problem tu hai ameerzaade... Aage se meri behen se door rehna...isi mein teri bhalai hai...samajh gaya na...
Naina who was standing there still had tears in her eyes... Shefali saw her sad face and she stopped Arjun.
Shefali: Arjun bas karo... yeh tum kya kar rahe ho... tumhe yahan kis ne bulaya... yeh mera ghar hai aur main jise chahe bula sakti hu... tum abhi yahan se chale jaao...
Arjun: main yahan se jaaunga to apni behen ke saath...
Shefali: par tum apni behen se to pooch lo ki wo tumhare saath jaana chahti hai bhi ya nahi...Naina bata de apne bhai ko...
Naina: Bhaiya...main... wo..main aap ke saath...nahi...
Arjun was shocked to see her refusing to obey his order... how could she insult him like this just for the sake of Sameer...
Arjun: to aaj tu itni badi ho gayi ki mujhe mana kar rahi hai...to theek hai...main abhi jaakar Papa ko sab bata deta hu...ab wo hi tujhe samjhenge...
Naina: to theek hai... aap bata do unhe... main bhi unhe aapka wo sach bata dungi jo humne unse chhupa kar rakha hai...
Swati: kaun sa sach Naina...
Sameer: nahi Naina...tum aisa kuchh nahi karogi...(actually Naina had told him the truth and he had asked her to forget about this truth for ever...but seeing him being threatened like this by her brother...she couldn't keep quiet this time).
Arjun: to tune ise sab bata diya hai...
Sameer: haan main jaanta hu... par main wo bhool chukka hu... tum bhi bhool jaao...aur shanti se is party ko enjoy karo...yehi sab ke liye achha hai...
Arjun was feeling so insulted and furious and judging the entire situation ...he gulped his anger and left from there... Naina kept on crying while Sameer was trying to console her...Shefali was very angry at his behaviour today and she went behind him... Arjun went to his cricket practice ground and was beating his leg against the tree trunk in frustration... Shefali came there and saw him so angry...
Shefali: tumhari problem kya hai Arjun?
Arjun: meri problem kya hai? tumhe kya zaroorat thi us Sameer ko party mein bulane ki...
Shefali: kyun...kyun nahi bula sakti main use?
Arjun: tumhe pata hai usne kya kiya Naina ke saath?
Shefali: haan jaanti hu... aur yeh bhi jaanti hu ki tumne kya kiya ... Wo sach jo Naina baat kar rahi thi... wo main bhi jaanti hu...
Arjun was shocked and embarrassed to hear this and he turned his face away...
Shefali: tumhe pata hai...tumhari sabse badi problem yeh hai ki tum har baat ko apne Papa kin azar se dekhte ho...
Arjun tried to interrupt but she signalled him to keep quiet...
Shefali: meri baat abhi poori nahi hui...tumne head boy banne ke liye papers ki chori ki...aur ilzaam laga us Sameer par...jiski wajah se use kya kya sehna pada...tumhare Papa ne kitna bura kiya uske aur uske parivaar ke saath... is baat ka badla lene ke liye usne shart lagayi... lekin use uski galti ka ehsaas hua aur usne apni galti sudharne ke liye kya kya nahi kiya? Kya tum nahi jaante...aur tumne kya kiya? Kya tumhe apni galti ka itna sa bhi ehsaas hai... tumne use maara peeta, itna kuchh kaha, ghar pe uski kitni insult ki... Sab jaanti hu main... kya tumhe lagta hai ki tumne theek kiya? Bolo Arjun... tumhe nahi lagta ki tum bhi apne Papa ke jaise bante ja rahe ho...main yeh nahi kehti ki unki respect mat karo...par unki galat baatein to mat seekho please... Unke pressure mein tumne apna cricket career almost finish kar diya tha... dekho apne aap ko ...tum kya the aur kya ban gaye ho... mujhe to sharm aati hai ki maine kabhi tumhe apna dost samjha tha... tum kisi ki dosti ke layak nahi ho Arjun... You are a coward... jo sirf Sameer ke saamne badi bai baatein kar sakte ho...ab tum kabhi mujhse baat karne ki koshish bhi mat karna...
She was about to leave from there when he stopped her...
Arjun: Shefali...ruko please... sach mein kya main itna bura hu...? Ki sab mujhse itni nafrat kare? Meri apni behen bhi?
Shefali: tum bure nahi ho Arjun... Bas tum apne aap koi decision nahi le paate... Kabhi apne Papa ki parchhai se bahar nikalke duniya ko dekhne ki koshish karo... tumhe duniya bahut alag nazar aayegi...
There were some cartons kept there... she asked him to do a favour... He asked him to pile up those cartons one on top of the other and climb them up and bring an apple from the tree...
Arjun: yeh kya keh rahi ho Shefali... Cartons pe kaise chad sakta hu... Main to gir jaaunga kyunki wo kamzor hain...
Shefali: exactly...yehi main tumhe samjhane ki koshish kar rahi hu... base weak hoga to success ki seedi (stairs) nahi chad sakte... tum apna base apne aap weak kar rahe ho... Apne upar excessive pressure daalkar aur apne doston se door jaakar... Sameer ko dekho... wo apne doston pe koi aanch nahi aane deta...chahe jo bhi ho...
Arjun : shayad tum theek kehti ho...tumne meri aankhein khol di... I'm sorry...
Shefali: to agar tum really sorry ho to chalo...ghar chalo... aur sab ke saath party enjoy karo... sab kitne upset ho rahe honge...especially Naina...tumhari behen...
Both of them went back to her home and there everyone was sitting quietly... Naina was still sobbing... they were surprised to see both of them. Arjun came to Sameer and said sorry for all what happened in the past... Sameer shook hands with him and Shefali asked them to hug each other. Naina was very happy to see them together and after this cake was cut and the evening passed off happily. The evening marked the beginning of a new friendship between Sameer and Arjun and a new relationship...between Arjun and Shefali.
The End...I know this is very unlikely to happen in the show...so i thought of writing an OS on this...hope you enjoyed reading it😊
