Okay so the FD is freaking out about the possible change in leap and rightfully so, its a big one but it is not the end of AvNeil nor is it the end for NK. This leap is purely plot driven and won't affect AvNeil, its not like they are going to be shown as parents or go the EK route where they will be shown married to other people. Neil and Avni will not be shown separated for long in the eyes of viewers that is, think about it their previous separations lasted a week or less so whose to say the same won't happen here? You have spoiler pictures already showing Zain with the new entry Zaan and the location seems to be the same where Aditi is currently shooting so I am sure their paths are going to cross soon. It is not going to be dragged out for long, Neil will surely realize his Avni is alive and he is going to start looking for her. Neil and Avni have that soul connection, they are surely going to feel the others presence.

There was the pic from Zain's IG story, Neil's birthday will be shown and I am hopeful we will see Neil and Avni remembering each other on that day, a sign that in all this time they haven't forgotten each other. We will get the angst and the hit and misses leading up to when they meet face to face in the coming days. Neil is not going to be the typical male lead, he is going to be happy to see Avni alive and want her back. How will that happen? Will Avni want him to keep her being alive a secret? What will it mean for Vidyut who she framed for her murder? What about the truth about Neela's death? How will AvNeil overcome all these obstacles and find their way back to each other? That is what I am looking forward to, its easy to get caught up in the negative but I would rather focus on the potential the story holds if executed right knowing Aditi and Zain will nail these scenes - the angst, the romance, the passion, the emotions. The other characters are just catalysts to their story, a means to bring them together and yes this includes Mishti. Mishti a part of the show holds no threat to the story with AvNeil and until CVs prove otherwise I don't think there is anything to be alarmed about.

Five year leap or ten year leap fact is we weren't going to be happy in either case, what's done is done, the pressure has been on for these CVs to deliver especially with the TRPs going down instead of reaching their desired goal of 2.0. CVs are not trying to sabotage their show, they are trying to save it and know AvNeil are their USP. It was AvNeil's story and will always be.

Ahhh babe! You always make sure to show everyone that ray of hope in the darkest of the darkest times. Seriously! Thank you all the time for taking the effort and spreading smiles and positivity.
You already know my take on this. For me the most essential thing is how a story is taken forward and most important, how the characters are maintained. And until and unless that is not harmed, I am ready to see any type of catalyst that are needed for a story to be taken forward :)

Yes! There are so many unanswered questions before this leap. How will Neil know? How will he find out? How will he react? What will Vidyut do after he knows it was just a game plan of Avni to keep him away from everyone? And many more exciting questions.

I know many are annoyed having so many kids on the show. But what I see is, more the kids, more is possibility that we will get light moments, than the heavy dramatic scenes. So thats a plus.

Looking forward for the leap and the reloaded version of Tere Darr Par Sanam. I hope they release it soon :)

Yes once I made you see the light you did not hold back on your theories, I love all your thoughts about how this track can unfold when I read them it makes me excited to see the potential. Like you asked how will Neil learn Avni is alive? How will their meeting be? What about Vidyut he was in jail for her murder and now? Will he be coming out of jail or will he have a change or heart and give closure to the Neela track?

I agree with you about the kids, I feel they will be cupid for AvNeil and a way for Avni to honor Neela for everything she did for her. Avni is giving back and showing these kids you can have a good life, that it does not need to be one fill with darkness. Avni is going to keep that darkness within her while finding a means to live through others.

We are all waiting for that song on AvNeil, I hope it shows soon!!

I honestly think the reason why the fandom is freaking out about this big leap is because Avni and Neil will have been missing out on each for so long and will meet again as middle aged adults.
To be honest, I can't imagine them as that either. However, just by gut feeling I don't think the leap will be this big. I think 5 years is a good amount of time for various reasons mentioned in several threads and I won't get into it again.

First of all, the shooting for the leap has already begun and judging by how the characters look, they don't seem to "aged enough to be middle aged. Aditi looks young and Zain looks exactly the same ( specially hot in the leather jacket!)

I doubt that there was an overnight decision to change the leap, like Twitter is showing.. if the leap is indeed 10 years then it's not an overnight decision and it's been made with lots of thought behind it. So let's not freak out right away.. let's at least let the leap begin to see what the CVs have in mind.

Also, something that I've been seeing on Twitter is how Mishti will play a role in the upcoming track. Mishti is a supporting character. She was collateral damage in avnis plan. The main characters are still
AvNeil! The makers are going to take such a huge risk to change focus from AdiZa to Mishti at such a crucial time. Consider that this is the time for them to capitalize on AvNeil- this is where ( I hope they know) this they need to bring romance, angst and lightheartedness in the show to reel the audience back in.

I'm not worried about Acneil being short changed at this point. In fact looking at the OLVs this morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Ladies from the jail track being back. I'm glad Avni is not left alone for all these years. That despite being away from her family, she has another family and another support system! I hope we can finally see Sunehri and DD getting together. I really want either Ali or DD to be paired with someone now!

P.s. I think Karan (zaan's character) will be the catalyst behind the meet and the kids and the jail gang will be the Cupids and pushing them together. So excited

@Nilsa, If the ten year leap happens AvNeil would be in their mid 30s so it is not like they have aged them to like 50 years old, they are still very young but I get where the outrage is from. I know fans were already upset about a five year leap so a ten year leap was bound to bring fury, however, like you said this decision was not one taken overnight. It is easy to blame the CVs but there is a lot that goes in behind the scenes before a track gets the green light, I know this from previous shows. The fact these shows are under even more pressure given SP being hellbent on revamping by June, they need to pull out all the stops. I am sure there will be a balance in tracks now that Vidyut has exited, yes we will have a new villain since every show needs one to take the track forward but we will also have a number of positive characters who play a role in Neil and Avni coming together. The idea behind this track was to give Avni and Neil a fresh start to their love story and that is exactly what we are going to see, the focus will be on them. Mishti's role is strictly plot driven right now and like you said it will most likely be a supporting role, not one where her role overshadows the leads story it is not like that even that Zaan actor he seems to only be a part of NK so Neil will have a reason to meet Avni.

Same! I want DD or Ali to have a love interest and Sunheri did like both before so why not?

Mandy: absolutely! Having the leads be in their late 30s ( Avni was 26 pre leap!) is not a bad thing when you think plot wise, but I think the reason why there's such an outrage is because the audience is a young one! Teens and younger adults- so for them, it's harder to relate to AvNeil as a middle aged couple!

I was originally uncomfortable with the 5 year leap too because I didn't want them to live that heartbreak for so long ( drawn from personal experience so I'm a little biased there) but logically speaking 5 years makes sense- it's a needed heartbreak for the plots sake!

All the actors brought in so far are all supporting characters- Zaan, Mitali, the inmates, the kids... it's all
Done to create the new environment of Avni and Neil. Like you said they'll be the catalyst in their meeting! And ofc the villain will be brought in as well... I wonder what will happen to vidyut considering he was needing a kidney transplant prior to the leap and needs Mishti. I wonder if he's survived whatever illness he had...

I think Sunehri likes DD more... so I hope to see that little romance going on on the side!

In the report Neil read it listed Avni as 24 so she would be 34 after the leap, they are definitely not going to be a middle aged at least not from where I see things.

Yes! All those characters are catalysts who hold no threat to AvNeil it is all to drive their story forward. There needed to be a reason for them to meet, that too after all these years there needed to be something that connects their fate once again. We have gathered how they will meet but how will things go from there? I think Avni's video message to Neil will play a key role in how he reacts to her being alive, the fact he won't be angry but relieved to see her standing in front of him safe and sound. Will Avni push him away or will she fall weak like she has in the past? Then you have Vidyut, he went to jail for Avni's death so what will be his fate now? There are lots of questions and lots of potential and I want to see how all this is explained since in NK many loopholes manage to be closed.

DD needs a love interest! We have been waiting so long, we would not mind Sunheri and DD.

For me 5 year leap was good . This 10 year leap is literally bad not because of age but I find it so lame that someone will wait for dead wife to return for 10 long years . Also there is a possibility that Mowgli can be their child . I can never forgive Avni on this matter . It's just I'm against 10 years and definitely not due to age factor . Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar was loved in spite of age of leads .
I am waiting to see how AvNeil meet , how Neil finds Avni , the angst , passion etc . I'm sorry Mandy for speaking negatively . I am unable hold on .

I'm hoping Neil will be angry initially to have been kept in the dark but then rationally thinking about the reason why she's done it, and then pursuing Avni.

I have a feeling that Avni will definitely try to resist- but she's never really been successful at resisting Neil so this time around won't be any different! 😳

That's where the angst and passion comes in .
Avni can try to hide but Neil will definitely find her be it any case
