"I think about you a little more than I should
He returned and changed into his nightdress and got quietly into his side of the bed. He heard Shaina mumble something in her sleep. He couldn't believe what he had gone and done, when he was already married to this woman lying beside him for three years. He never looked at any other woman in all that time and here he kissed a lady on their first meet. He was in his thoughts when sleep took over. He woke up to the sound of the alarm clock. He checked the time to see it was 10 am. "Oh God, how could I have slept for so long, He said. "That is what I would like to know, He looked up to find his wife with a tray of breakfast with her. "You shouldn't be that happy, it is the first time you woke up before me, He smiled. She smiled putting the breakfast tray before him.
"I thought, I should sometimes try to pamper you too, She smiled. "I can see that, He said eying the tray she kept. "So anything special, He asked. "I'm so sorry Maan, I know I'm unable to give you time due to work...Now see we could have thought of our plans on a baby yesterday but I returned late...I'm so sorry honey but there is always today right, She grinned. "W..what...b..babies, He stammered.
"Why are you so startled Maan you always wanted our baby right. I'm so sorry that I did not comply to your request but now I want our little one, She smiled. "Nooo...I...I mean no we can wait ...I mean I think you were right, He stammered again making Shaina to look at him. He looked up to her and understood she did not like him retorting to her wishes. The issue with Shaina was she couldn't take a No ...it was if she thinks its correct everyone should think that way, but right now he couldn't think of her all his mind was occupied with Geet. She was worth a risk ...worth knowing...worth everything that he has build up so far. He knew he was wrong but it was like he was attracted to her like a moth to the fire. It is just hours and he is already wanting to see her again...a thing he never felt for Shaina. They were friends ...she proposed him out of the blue and he didn't want to make a mockery of her so he agreed ...but from few months he was not feeling right. She had been quite persistent about having a child ...not that he not wanted to he had asked her in the past but she used to always refuse flatly, so her being persistent was what was making him suspicious.
Geet was no different, her husband called her again to know about her well being. She felt guilty now facing him. She was still under the spell of the man she met last night and kissed him upon their first meet. The continuous ringing of the phone bought her out of her la la land. She looked up to find it was Daksh.
"Hello.
"Hi, dear so what has my pretty wife up to...missing me ..., He asked in his usual flirty tone.
"I'm just sitting reading a book, She said.
"So not missing me oh you are a cruel one, He chuckled.
She smiled hearing him, he would always say such things which made her say she did miss him on an instant but she couldn't lie today as all she missed was seeing that man again whom she met last night.
"I am missing you, you know that and now stop being such a drama queen, She chided him earning him to laugh a little.
"Alright, so what book are you reading now, my little bookworm, He asked.
"Umm...A Night to Remember..., She said looking at the book on her nightstand which she planned to read but didn't read yet.
"Oh, sounds interesting, so what is it about.
She turned the book to read the summary.. "A young woman meets a handsome young man at a party and they begin an affair ..her husband finds out and shoots him... She was shocked reading that isn't it something similar in her life but she didn't want Maan dead.
"Hmm...a good one it seems, She heard Daksh.
"Daksh...what would you do if the situation similar to this arises, She asked scared to hear the answer.
"Oh, Geet come on...I know you won't cheat on me ...and well you know violence is not an answer for me right, He said casually causing her to sigh but also feel guilty cheating him but she couldn't let go off that that attraction she felt towards Maan she will do anything for him.
The call was disconnected and Daksh looked at his phone, "I lied sweetheart, I don't think you have the guts to cheat on me but well if you do you will see the real Daksh Khanna...I will make sure to kill that lover of yours as you only belong to me.
Maan looked around before taking out the scribbled number he had with him. Making sure that Shaina isn't there, he dialed the number.
"Hello, Came the voice he has been yearning to hear.
"Hey, so what are you doing right now, He asked.
"Nothing much ...just had a shower ..., She said.
"I so wish to be with you..., He said suggestively making her giggle.
"You are really good with your words, She smiled.
"I'm good with many other things too...So when are we meeting today, He smiled.
"I have to go for work and then we can meet at the same place as yesterday, She smiled.
"Alright then, see you then, He said disconnecting the call.
"Whom are you meeting, He heard Shaina looking up guiltily knowing what he is doing is wrong when his wife wants their baby. "Ah, a client and what about your work taking a day off, He said looking at the time. "I have ...some work. Karan will drop me don't worry and I hope you will think about our baby too, She said. Her insistence was really irking him but still he smiled, "We will see to that now you take rest, call me if you need something. Maan went to dress up eager to meet Geet while his wife looked at his retreating back. "I have to get a baby from you Maan ...with or without your consent ...a baby is necessary for me, She smirked dialing a number. "I want to stop my birth control pills ...ahan...me and my husband are planning our baby, She said disconnecting the call thinking about something. "I'm sorry Maan but you leave me with no choice, She thought.
