Parineeti Chopra on Kesari: It has been a dream to work with Akshay Ku

Parineeti Chopra has a busy few weeks
ahead of her as the actor will simultaneously
be shooting for two movies. One is Kesari
which will see the actor be paired opposite
Akshay Kumar for the first time and the
second is Namastey England which marks
her onscreen reunion with her Ishaqzaade
co-star Arjun Kapoor.
Speaking of Kesari, the magnum opus is
something that Parineeti is very excited to
be a part of as she gets to work with
Akshay. Pari said, "It has been a dream to
work with Akshay for a long time. He is a
Punjabi and so
am I and we are doing a Punjabi film
together. I am very excited to start the
shoot."
Talking about Kesari, the film is based on the
Battle of Saragarhi and Akshay has already
started shooting for the film. The movie is
directed by Anurag Singh under Karan
Johar's home banner Dharma Productions.
The film is slated to release during the Holi
weekend in 2019.

When it comes to juggling between
shooting for Kesari and Namsatey England,
Parineeti added, "I have to do it
simultaneously as, unfortunately, the dates
are planned like that. So I will be shooting in
Amritsar (for Kesari) and in London (for
Namastey England)"
Meanwhile, Namastey England is being
helmed by Vipul Shah. Parineeti and Arjun
will also be seen in Dibakar Banerjee's
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar which is slated to
release on August 3, 2018.
When Pinkvilla chatted with Parineeti
recently, we asked her about her co-star and
close friend, Arjun. To this, the actress
replied, "It's going to be a blast! I was
Arjun's first heroine and he was sort of my
first hero. We have the greatest bond. We're
amazing friends. We are unapologetic to
each other. We can say anything to each
other and we are absolutely unabashed
when it comes to making fun of each other
or giving feedback to each other. We never
have to mince words, we never have to lick
each other's as**s. We always tell it as it is.
It's one of the most real friendships that I
have in the industry. So, having him as a co-
star for the next two films, at least I'm not
worried that I have to worry about the co-
star's tantrums or anything. It's going to be
an amazingly positive working relationship."
Earlier, talking about working with Parineeti
again, Arjun had quipped to a leading daily,
"We are working in two films. First in
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and then, whether
you're satisfied or not, we will come
together in Namastey England as well. So
next year, I am going to be linked-up only
with Parineeti because I would be working
only with her."
