Shah Rukh Khan will be seen as astronaut
Rakesh Sharma in his biopic titled Salute.
Initially, Shah Rukh had said that he has not
signed for any movie except Aanand L. Rai's
Zero and added, "I have been meeting
Siddharth Roy Kapur and a few other
filmmakers but I will take a couple of
months before I take up something."
But now, it looks like the actor has greenlit
the movie and according to a leading daily,
Shah Rukh will commence shooting for the
same in September 2018.
A source informed the daily, "SRK wants to
start shooting in September and continue
for two months before he starts promoting
Zero, which releases on Christmas. After that,
he will resume Salute's shoot from January
2019. The film is expected to release next
year."

Aamir Khan was originally going to star as
Rakesh Sharma but backed out and
according to a leading daily, it was he who
recommended Shah Rukh's name to the
makers. A source revealed to the daily,
"Aamir strongly recommended the Rakesh
Sharma biopic to Shah Rukh as a script
worth walking that extra mile for. More so,
since Aamir intends to devote a substantial
period of his time to a very dear project of
his, presumably the Mahabharat, and has
stopped accepting any other assignments
currently."
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is currently
engrossed in the shoot of Zero which also
stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Zero
is slated to release on December 21, 2018.
