Chapter 6

Both Shivay and anika are very excited for their upcoming engagement and the wedding.. soon the week flew by

A night before engagement,

shivika are speaking to each other over phone

Shivay: anika tum log kitne bje tak pahunch jaoge kal? ( what time will you guys reach tomorrow)

anika: shivay kal dopehar tak pahunch jayenge Hum sab ( we will reach by afternoon)

shivay( throwing a tantrum): kyun Yaar tumhe engagement wale din he kyun pahuchna tha.. ek din pehle aajate na aap log. ( y did you guys have to reach on the day of the engagement you guys could have come earlier as well)

anika: shivay bas kuch aakhri lamhe main apne ghar main bitaana chahti thi..isiliye hum kal aa rahe hain...teasing him further she says lagta hai jaise koi bhut intezaar kar raha hai haan?? ( I just wanted to spend these last few moments in my house and it seams like somebody is very impatient to meet us)

shivay: kyun? tumhe nhn hai intezaar muje dekhne ka?( y? Don't you wanna see me as well)

Tumhe aandaza bhi nhn hai anika ki main kitna besabar hun tumhe dekhne ke liye.. ( you don't have any idea of how impatient I am to see you)

anika blushes and says chaliye shivay so jaate hain fer kal hume nikalna bhi hai

soon they say bye and anika goes towards her sisters' room and sleeps with them..( says okay let's go and sleep now since we have to leave tomorrow morning for your house)

next morning..

Oberoi Mansion

There is hustle bustle going on in the mansion and everyone is running around to make sure things are prim and proper for SHARMAS.

time flies and its afternoon when the sharmas arrive,

Daadi( complaining): kitni der lga di aane main.. kabse intezaar kar rahe the hum aap logon ka ( what took you guys so long we had been waiting since very long)

Ashok: maaji aap toh jaanti he hain ki ladki ki shaadi main waqt ka pta he nhn lagta hai ( mother you know there is so much to do in a daughter's wedding)

Daadi: haan beta woh toh sach hai.. Ab aap log andar aayie( yes dear that is true.. okay now you guys come inside)

they all come inside nd settle themselves on the couches in the hall; Anika's eyes are looking around for shivay.

pinky notices this and says beta jise tumahri aankhen dhoond rahi hain wo Gadha to office gya hai..( dear the one who you are looking for has gone to Office)

anika blushes and says nhn aunty wo toh main bas ghar ka interior dekh rahi thi.. bhut sundar hai..( no aunty it's nothing like that I was just admiring your house.. the interiors are very pretty)

everyone laughs listening to her excuse and that is when shivay enters and greets the sharmas while his eyes are glued on anika.. They both are smiling to each other..Gauri and Bhavya notice this and decides to tease their sister..

gauri: di; aap kyun itna muskura rahi hain...dekhiye aapke gaal bhi ek dum laal hogye hain( sister y are you smiling so much see every your cheeks have become so red)

Bhavya: haan di gauri ek dum sahi keh rahi hai..kya hua hai??( yes sis gauri is right.. tell us what happened)

shivay is laughing looking at anika's condition and decides to save her

shivay: arree meri saaliyon kya haal hain aapke( oh my dear sister inlaws how are you guys doing)

bhavya and gauri: theek hai jiju; aap kaise hain yeh btaiye( we are good brother inlaw you tell us about yourself)

shivay: main toh theek hun; aur btao shaadi ki shopping hogyi Kya (I am good too. Tell me did you guys complete the wedding shopping)

Gauri: jee jiju humne humare and di ke liye shopping kar li hai...aakhir shaadi main di humari he passand ke kapde pehenne waali hain na( yes BIL we have completed all the shopping for us as well as our sister because our sister is going to wear the clothes of our choice)

shivay: aisa kyun? agar muje wo kapde nhn pasand hue toh? ( y so ; what if I don't like those clothes)

gauri: aise kaise nhn pasand honge!! aapko zaroor pasand aayenge... Meri di ke sab kapde main he pasand karti hun and di mere karte hain( y will you not like those; you will def like those since I always choose Di's clothes and she does for me)

shivay giving up! : acha baba theek hai jaisa tumhe pasand hai tumahri di waisa he pehnengi.. theek hai ab ( sighing ok fine your di will wear what you have chosen)

gauri( giving her million dollar smile): ji ab sab bilkul theek hai!! Thank you jiju..( yes now everything is perfect.. thanks BIL)

dadi says everyone to go to their rooms to rest so that they all can enjoy the engagement in the evening.

It's evening soon and all of them are dressed. Slowly the hall of the OM starts getting filled with the guests and the close associates .

The girls descend down the stairs with Anika being in the middle surrounded by gauri n bhavya on either side.

Shivay is looking at Anika and she blushes seeing that

Rudy is trying to get bhavya's attention but she ignores him

While omkara is just mesmerized by the angelic look of gauri and gauri finally looks up to see and finds him looking at her to which she passes him a small shy smile.

Daadi calls them and says chalo bachon aajao.. mahurat hone waala hai..( come kids it's almost the auspicious time)

Shivay and Anika come towards daadi and take their seats.

Priyanka brings the rings and pinky hands Anika's ring to shivay and Garima gives shivay's ring to Anika.

Daadi: chal billu fatafat se Anika puttar ko ring pehna de..( come billu make Anika wear the ring)

Shivay: Ji daadi!! ( okay grandma)

Garima: Anika beta apne baiyan haath aage karo ( Anika beta bring forward your left hand)

Anika does so and Shivay puts the ring in her finger and says so are you ready to be MRS.SSO?

Anika blushes and says yes i am and makes shivay wear the ring as well.

RINGS

once the rings are exchanged rudra goes to the stage and requests everyone for their attention..

Omkara and rudra then enact Shivay's life from when he was born till he stepped into the business world

after that its time for Gauri and Bhavya to enact anika's life and they do so; everyone has tears in their eyes seeing how anika managed her chutki and herself after their parents' death.. Some people are emotional while some are proud to have such a understanding person in their lives..

Omkara is smiling looking at gauri when she looks at him too.. They are so lost in each other's eyes that they didn't realize when rudra requested people to come on the dance floor.

They dance closely where shivay is looking at Anika but Anika is blushing.

Shivay: Anika Meri aankhon main dekho please( please look into my eyes)

Anika looks up and blushes

Shivay: Anika tum itna blush Abhi karogi toh shaadi waali raat ko kya hoga( Anika if you blush this much right now I wonder what will happen on our wedding night)

And he earns a small smack from Anika for being naughty while dancing

Anika: Shivay wo bas main nervous ho rahi Hun ( I am getting nervous)

Shivay: kyun.. tum yeh sab itni jaldi nhn chahti kya(. Y don't you want everything so fast)

Anika: nhn wo bas.. sab kuch naya hai and alag bhi hai na( no actually everything feels so new and different)

Shivay( assuringly): chinta Mat karo Anika!! Sab theek hoga main Hun na tumahre saath ( don't worry everything is going to be fine and I will be with you) to which Anika smiles and keeps her head on his chest. Shivay reassuringly places a small kiss on her forehead making her blush again..

Omkara and gauri

They are dancing with omkara's hand at gauri's waist and gauri's hand at omkara's shoulders. Omkara is just lost in gauri's eyes while gauri is observing how handsome omkara looks. Just then a smile creeps on omkara's face which is noticed by jhanvi and this time by daadi as well. Both daadi and jhanvi speak up at the same time .. kitne sohne lag rahe hain yeh dono; nazar na lage( how adorable do these two look together; may god save them from the evil eyes)

Om: aaj se pehle kabhi humari baat nhn hui( we haven't had the chance to speak to each other before this)

Gauri: Ji.. jaante hain hum. Toh btayie apne baare main kuch ; yeh toh hum jaante hain ki aap ek mashhoor artist hain( yes I know so tell me something about you except that you are a well renowned artist)

Omkara was surprised to know that she knows who he is and still hasn't fangirled him

Om: toh tumhe paintings pasand hain kya( so do you like paintings)

Gauri: Haan pasand toh hain magar karna nhn jaante hain( yes I do like them but I don't know how to make one) Kya aap Hume sikhayenge?

Omkara smiles listening to this and says agar tum chaho toh ( only if you want to)

She nods like a school kid who has just received what she wanted for so long.

Omkara is mesmerized seeing her kiddish nature and unknowingly they move even more closer to each other

Bolna mahi bolna

Rudra and Bhavya

Rudra is dancing with bhavya. As always Rudra is trying to flirt with bhavya. Rudra says aapki aankhen bhut he khoobsurat hain( your eyes are very pretty) bhavya says thank you. Rudra keeps on talking throughout the dance. Bhavya irritatedily says aap chupchaap dance nhn kar sakte kya? Kab se boli jaa rahe hain ( cant you keep quiet n dance. Have been continuously speaking since so long) Rudra makes a crying pout and Bhavya laughs seeing that.

Hello everyone!! here is the next chapter...I hope you enjoy this chapter...

Soon the party was over and the guests had started leaving, the elders went to their rooms to rest while the youngsters decided to hang out at the pool side. While leaving jhanvi calls out to omkara to speak to him.

Jhanvi: om! Beta muje tumse baat Karni hai zara mere room main aana toh!! ( beta I want to talk to you please come to my room)

Om: kya hua mom! Sab theek toh hai. Aap kuch worried lag rahi hain( what happened mom. You look worried is everything alright)

Jhanvi: Haan beta sab theek hai.. bilkul worried nhn Hun balki khush Hun. Tumhe btati Hun room main aao. ( yes dear everything is good. In fact I am happy come to the room and I will tell you)

Om: theek hai mom aap chaliye! Main sab ko bol ke aata hun( okay mom you take the lead while I join you after informing others)

Poolside:

Rudra: arre!! Yeh O pta nhn kahan reh gye!! ( God knows where O has been)

Shivay: wo Maine use badi maa se baat karte dekha tha.. chinta Mat kar.. aata he hoga ( actually I saw him speaking to his mother. Don't worry he must be on his way)

Omkara comes and says.. sorry guys mom ko Mujse kuch important baat Karni hai toh main unke room main jaa raha Hun. Tum log continue karo. ( guys mom wants to talk to me so I need to leave but you guys should continue.)

Shivay: kya hua om? Sab theek toh hai na?? Main chalun kya tumahre saath? ( what happpened om is everything alright? Do you want me to join you)

Om: nhn shivay kuch tension ke baat nhn hai. Bas mom kuch btaana chahti hai muje. Tum ruko main sambhaal lunga ( no shivay there is nothing to be worried about you stay here and enjoy I will handle it)

Shivay: om Hum yeh pool party kisi aur day bhi rakh sakte hain. Tumahre bina kya maza aayega( om we can keep this party some other day as well. It won't be fun without you)

Rudra: Haan O bhaiya bilkul sahi bol rahe hain( yes O bhaiya is correct)

Girls come in and say: yes hum kisi aur din rakh lenge na.. sab saath hain Tab he maza aayega ( yes we can keep this for some other day. It will be fun only when everyone is together)

Om: guys relax!! Tum log enjoy karo na main mom se baat karke join karta Hun. ( guys please enjoy I will join after speaking to mom) and bhabhi main aapka koi bhi moment Meri wajah se kharab nhn karna chahta hun( and SIL I don't want to ruin your special moments because of me)

Listening to this an overwhelmed gauri immediately looks up to see omkara and is happy realizing that they are going to take care of her sister so much. She smiles to herself listening to om. omkara slightly turns his head while speaking and his eyes find a beautiful pair of eyes looking at him and his eyes lock with gauri's eyes!!

They are brought back to reality with Rudra calling him loudly Om Om

Om: Haan kya hua kyun chilaa rahe ho( what happened why are you shouting)

Rudy: Kya O aap kahan kho gye the jaana nhn hai aapko ab mom se baat karne ke liye ( what O whew have you been lost? Don't you have to go to speak to mom)

Om: Haan wo... wo bas jaa he raha Hun.. tum log enjoy karo and he leaves the place hurriedly ( yes I am leaving you guys enjoy)

Jhanvi's room: she is waiting by the window for omkara to come

Om: mom Kya main Andar aa jaaun ( mom may I come in)

Jhanvi: Haan beta! Yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai Kya?? ( yes son.. what is there to ask )

Om: Haan toh mom btaeyie ki aapko kya baat Karni hai ( yes mom now tell me what you wanted to speak)

Jhanvi: aao pehle betho mere paas!! ( first come and settle down close to me) he does so. Dekho beta jo bhi main tumse kehne jaa rahi Hun dhiyaan se sunna aur fer Soch samajh ke jawaab dena( son, please listen to me attentively and answer to everything I ask after thinking calmly)

Om: theek hai mom kahiye aap ( ok mom, say whatever you wanted to) main shaant rehke sununga ( I will listen calmly)

Jhanvi: beta dekho! Jab se hum anika ke parivaar se mile hain Maine notice kiya hai ki tum kaafi badle badle lag rahe ho. Aur yeh muje ek Acha badlav bhi nazar aa raha hai. Omkara is shocked to see how his mother has noticed all the small changes in him since he has met gauri. Jhanvi continues beta shock mat ho Main tumahri maa Hun. Samjhti Hun main tumhe. Aur jahaan tak Main dekh Paa rahi Hun muje lagta hai ki yeh gauri ki wajah se hai, wo tumhe pasand aane lagi hai. Trust me om Main bhut khush Hun dekhke ki tumhe ek aise ladki pasand aa rahi hai jo tumhari zindagi Main wo sab waapis laa sakti hai jise tum bhula chuke ho. Aur gauri Main muje wahi zindagi jeene ki khawahish dikhti hai jo kisi roz mujme bhi thi. Beta main chahti Hun ki tum iss baat ko samjho ki saari ladkiyan ek jaise nhn hoti. Saari ladkiyan paison ke peeche pyaar ka natak nhn karti. Saari ladkiyan sirf oberoi Tag se pyaar nhn karti. Kuch ladkiyan aise bhi hoti hain jinhe paison se zaada rishton ki kadar ho, oberoi surname se zaada jo omkara ko pyaar kare sirf omkara the artist omkara ko. Aur muje lagta hai ki gauri waise he hogi. Muje khushi hogi om agar tum iss baare Main bina kisi darr ke Socho toh. Main tumahre answer ka wait karungi. ( beta I have noticed that you have changed since we have come back from Anika's house and trust me it's a good change. Son don't be shocked I am your mother and I am well aware of my son's turmoil and as far as I can see it's because of gauri; you have started to like her. Trust me om I am very happy to see that yeh girl who my son has started to like is somebody who can get him back whatever my son has lost in his life. I can see a younger version of myself in gauri son. Also my dear son I want you to understand that not all the girls in the world are alike, not every girl is mad behind money, not everyone fakes their love for money, not every girl wants to be an oberoi. There are girls who value relations over money, there are girls who will truly love you, there are girls who will love only the omkara, the artist omkara rather than the omkara singh oberoi. And it's my belief that gauri is such a girl who is perfect for you. I will be more than happy if you would seriously think about this matter and i will wait for your answer son)

Wo bhut innocent hai mom aur main nhn chahta ki wo Meri duniya ki harsh realities aur Meri life ki problems ki wajah se apni innocence kho de.

( mom how well you have understood my mind without me having said anything and yes I agree that somewhere down in my heart I have started to like gauri. Her innocence the way she talks the way she looks towards the life are attracting me towards her because everything about her is so different than mine. Mom I fail to understand how can a girl be this innocent . But mom I am scared that I might hurt her due to my bitter past. I don't want any kinds of troubles to fall on her. I don't want her to lose her innocence by stepping into my world by dealing with my problems)

Jhanvi: muje khushi hai yeh jaanke ki tum apni life Main move on kar rahe ho. Par om agar tum kisi se pyaar karte ho tum Khud he usse kisi bhi dard se Bacha loge. Yeh pyaar ki taakat hai mere bache. ( omkara I m happy to know that you have finally decided to move on in your life but om once you love someone you will make sure to keep her away from all the troubles and if incase any trouble falls on her you will save her. This is what love is my child! You will not understand my point right now but believe me once you get busy in giving all the happiness to your love you will leave behind all the sadness that you have ever encountered in your life. All you would remember is love n happiness. I am not telling you to go and tell gauri about your feelings right now but please I want you to think about our conversation and about gauri. Your grandma and I both love and adore gauri and we think she is perfect for you)

Omkara: in deep thougts say theek hain mom Main waada karta Hun ki Main sochunga iss baare Main ( ok mom I promise that I will think about this for sure)

Jhanvi: that's like my boy and fondly pecks her first born's forehead!

Mom muje kitne Ache se samjhti hain. Main maanta Hun ki gauri baaki ladkiyon ke jaise bilkul nhn hai. Main usko pasand karta Hun aur uske saath time bitana bhi muje pasand hai. Par kya main use apni life Main laane ke liye tayaar Hun. Kya wo mere past Main jaankar muje chodke nhn jaaegi. Gauri se toh Maine ab tak kuch kaha bhi nhn hai aur muje toh yeh bhi nhn pta hai ki wo mere baare Main kya sochti hai. Agar wo kisi aur se pyaar karti ho toh? Nhn nhn. Main aise nhn soch sakta Hun.

Muje mom ki kahe baaton ke baare Main sochna hoga aaraam se. Muje yakeen hai ki mom and daadi sahi keh rahe hain gauri ke baare Main ki wahi hai jo muje Meri khushiyan waapis de sakti hai but fer bhi Main itni jaldi usko apne aap ko itna effect karne nhn de sakta Hun. Muje thoda door rehke samjhna chaheye use pehle, dekhna chaheye ki use uski life se kya umeedeyen hain. Pehle Main theek se samjh Lun fer he usse kuch kahunga nhn toh bhut he awkward ho jaega hum dono ke liye.

(Mom understands me so well; I agree gauri is very different form other girls and I like her and look forward to spend time with her but am I ready to make her a part of my life yet. What if she decides to leave me after knowing my past. I haven't even told anything I gauri yet and I don't even know what she thinks about me. What if she already has a man in her life? No no I shouldn't think of all these things.

But I will have to think about what mom said and I am sure what grandma and mom are saying about gauri is correct but still I can't let her affect me this much right now. I should be away from her to know her better, to get an insight about her way of life. I first want to understand her completely and only then will I tell her about my feelings otherwise it might just be too awkward for both of us)

Next morning

Gauri was coming down the stairs while looking something in her phone and she collided with omkara who was coming from his morning jog.

Gauri: sorry wo humne aapko dekha nhn( sorry I didn't see you)

Omkara: it's ok

Gauri: raat ko aap kahan reh gye the sab aapka wait kar rahe the pool side pe aapne kaaha tha na ki aap aayenge ( where were you last night everyone was waiting for you because you said you would come)

Omkara: wo mom se baat karte karte late hogya tha ( It got late while talking to mom )

Gauri: theek hai! Waise aap Abhi kya karne waale hain? ( ok that's fine! What bdw what are you going to do now)

Omkara: tumse matlab. ( does it have anything to do with you)

Gauri: aap itna gusse Main kyun jawaab de rahe hain ( y are you answering rudely)

Omkara: toh tumhe kyun jaana hai ki main kya karne wala Hun. ( so y do you wanna know about what am I going to do)

Gauri: nhn wo bas Main toh dance practice ke liye kehna chahti thi( actually I just wanted to say regarding the dance practice)

Omkara : dekho Main koi dance wance nhn karne waala Hun. Tum jaake Rudy ke saath practice karlo. I am busy and he walks off without listening ( look I am not doing any dance ok . You better practice with Rudy)

Gauri is boggled by such behavior

Iss jatadhari ki himmat kaise hui humse aise baat karne ki. Samjhte kya hain Khud ko. Honge koi bade artist pat hum bhi gauri sharma hai. Aaj tak koi bhi humari baat sunne bina nhn gya hai baat adhuri chod ke. Inhe to sabak sikhaana he hoga

( what does this jatadhari man think of himself. He might be a big artist but I am also gauri sharma. Nobody has ever dared to walk off on me leaving the conversation. He needs to be taught a lesson)
