Ishita got up early morning and went to complete her daily chores.after an hour, she got ready fully. She wore a pink suit and tied her hair in a braid and put a small bindi. After getting ready she went out taking her college bag and amma served steaming hot idlis. She start eating the breakfast when appa signalled amma to talk to her.she nodded and said -ishu kanna, aaj shaam ko jaldi aa jaana.
Ishita -kyun amma??
Amma-kyunki tumhe dekhne ladke wale aa rahe hai. She said while ishita stopped hearing this.
Ishita -ladke wale, now what's this amma. U know naa I don't want to marry now. Mujhe padhna hai.she said making appa angry.
He got up in anger and said -tum kya chahti ho aur kya nahi, isse hume koi fark nahi padhta. Tum college padhne ka bol kar jaati ho, aur pura din uss lafange raman ke saath guzarti ho. Kal raat ko bhi Itni raat ko aayi.
Ishita -thats because I am doing job appa, aur raman lafange nahi hai. Woh ek bahut achche ghar se hai. She said defending raman.
Appa-zubaan dekho iski, badhti jaa rahi hai. Main keh raha hoon madhu, yeh ladki gul khilayegi. Aur rahi baat job ki, job main bhi karta hoon but ghar par time par aa jaata hoon. I don't know anything, aaj shaam ko tum jaldi aaogi and we will get ur marriage fixed. Saying so he was going when Ishita said -nahi appa, aisa kuch nahi hoga. Naa main ghar shaam ko jaldi aaungi aur naa hi kisi se shaadi ke liye haan kahungi. Maine koi galti nahi ki hai aur naa kisi ki galat baat manungi. Raman galat insaan nahi hai, he is just my friend and I work for his father. Woh mujhe apni responsibility samajh kar ghar chodne aate hai. Iska jisko joh matlab samjhna hai samjhe but I know he is an innocent soul. She said and went out making appa more angry.
Appa-main keh deta hoon madhu, agar iss ladki ka rishta aaj tay nahi hua toh bahut bura hoga aaj.
Amma-aap shaant ho jaiye, I will make her understand. She said and appa too went to collage.
Ishita was standing in the corner waiting for raman, when appa came glaring her. She got scared seeing him coming to her. She was looking at him when raman came and said coming in between them-achcha hua u r here only, let's go we r getting late. He was saying when he saw her looking beyond him. He turned and saw her father standing there.
Raman -namaste uncle, how r u, I came to pick ishita.
Appa smiled meekly and said -i am good,how r u??
Raman -I am trying to be good like ur daughter.u know papa is very impressed by her working skill. Keh rahe the she deserve to be successful. Bahut hard working hai. He was busy in praising ishita while the father -daughter duo was looking at Raman, ishita with admiration while appa with anger. He was not liking how raman was praising ishita motivating her to work hard for her dreams as it will shatter his dream of getting her married soon. They talked for sometime and finally all went for college. Appa in his scooter while Ishra on his bike.
The day went in a jiffy, Raman was sitting next to ishita trying to talk to her but she was bit lost. For the first time in life, she talk to her appa in such a rude tone but she just can't take him talking rubbish about Raman.
Soon the college get over and Ishra were going to their office when ishita said -i am not feeling well.
Raman -kya hua ishita, u want to go home??
Ishita -no, I don't want to go home but main office bhi nahi jaana chahti. Can we go somewhere else.
Raman -what happened, u r looking bit disturbed. I was observing this since long but didn't told anything thinking u may don't want to share. Kya hua batao naa.
Ishita -nothing, office hi chalte hai. Waise bhi iss tarah office ke naam par baahar ghoomna, it's wrong. Kisi ne dekh liya toh bada hungama ho jayega.
Raman -hungama, kuch hua hai kya??
Ishita nodded and said -please, office chalte hai.
Raman didn't said anything and ride towards office.soon they were in their cubical, ishita was busy in his work while he was just looking at her. He was noticing, she wasn't telling him anything today, not even to work.
Raman went closer to her and said stop her work-ishita, will u tell me what happened??
Ishita -kuch nahi, kuch bhi toh nahi. She said trying to concentrate on her work when he hold her hand and said -ishita.
She looked at him, he was already looking at her.her eyes got moist and she hugged him tight while her tears start wetting his shirt. He got startled by her action and said -ishita, now u r making me worried. Please tell me what happened??
Ishita -woh kyun aapke baare mein galat bolte hai, can't he see how good u r?? She said crying making raman confused.
Raman -kaun,kaun bolta hai??
Ishita -appa, can't he see how good and innocent u r?? She said making him happy and sad both together .sad as her appa think bad about him and happy as she don't like it.
She was hugging him tight while he was just caressing her back softly when he asked -itni si baat par itna rona, why u felt so bad ishita??he asked looking at her making her look at him.
She broke the hug and said -i don't know why I left bad but I don't like anyone saying wrong things about u. I know u r not bad,she was saying when her phone rang. She saw it was her mother's number. She tried to ignore it when raman said -uthao, tumhari amma ka phone hai.
Ishita don't want to pick it but picked only to hear scoldings from her amma as guest r about to come and she was not yet home.
Ishita -maine kaha tha naa amma, k don't wanna come.
Amma-i don't care tum kya chahti ho, all I know is that tumhare kaaran tumhare appa ko insult nahi honi chahiye. Saying so she hung the call making ishita in a fix. Yes she likes raman and want to study too further but being married to someone else that too leaving her studies is something she never thought about. But she can't see her appa getting insulted too so she decided to go home.
She made an excuse to Raman as she don't want to tell him about the alliance and went out of the office taking mr bhalla's permission. Though raman wanted to drop her but she denied knowing her appa's reaction well. Raman was confused seeing her reaction and he too went home after completing his work. His father can feel something is fishy but couldnt get what it is. He was feeling bad seeing raman sad but not knowing how to help him.
On the other hand, ishita reached home only to see the guest were already there. Amma took her inside and make her ready. Ishita got ready wearing a cream kanjivaram saree and went half heartedly in front of the guests.
They liked her and soon they start talking about marriage. Ishita so wanted to talk about her further studies but her appa stopped her. She couldnt take it anymore and went inside. She start crying out of her helplessness when her appa came to her.
He caressed her hair and said -ishu kanna.
Ishita got up and said -why u r doing this appa, u know well I want to study further, main kuch banna chahti hoon, phir kyun meri shaadi karwa rahe hai aap.
Appa-dont cry, tumhari shaadi abhi nahi hogi, it will happen only after u finish ur study ,I am just fixing ur marriage so that u can't even think of that Raman bhalla.he said making ishita look at him.
Appa-usse dosti rakhna hai rakho, uske saath kaam bhi Karo but usse jyada nahi. Tumhari shaadi prashant ke saath fix ho rahi hai aur uske saath ho hogi. He said and went out leaving a stunned ishita behind. She wasn't understanding how to react, to be happy that her appa is allowing her to study or to be sad that she is not allowed to feel anything about raman.
She looked at the sky and said -yeh kaise dharam sankat mein daal diya mujhe Murugan, jazbaat de diye aur raman ke liye kuch feel karne ka haq chin liya. Yeh toh wahin hua ki dil diya aur dhadkan cheen li. Zindagi di aur saansein cheen li. How will I face him, Unhe kaise bataungi that my marriage is about to fix, ki unhe mera sapna dekhne ki bhi permission nahi rahi. Unke aansuyon ka kaaran kaise banungi. Unke mummy papa ko kya jawaab dungi main. How will I face them. She said and hide her face in the pillow crying.
On the other and,
Raman was sitting in restaurant with mihir all tensedwhen mihir asked again-kya hua raman, tell me naa. yaar uncle ne tujhe mere saath enjoy karne ke liye bheja hai and u r sitting so worried. Bol naa baat kya hai?? Why u r so worried??
Raman -I am worried coz ishita is worried.
Mihir -kya Matlab??
Raman -matlab woh pareshan hai, mujhe bata nahi rahi but I can feel that. U know aaj woh mere saath toh thi but khoyi khoyi thi. She even cried today aur phir chali gayi. I feel that she wanted to tell me something but woh keh nahi paa rahi. Mujhse thik se baat bhi nahi ki aaj usne, pata nahi kya ho gaya hai, he was saying when they heard, but mujhe pata hai.
Raman and mihir turned and see shagun standing there with a smirk.
Raman got angry and said -please Shagun, I am not in a mood to hear ur rubbish, chali jao yahan se.
Shagun -ofcourse chali jaungi, but after telling u the truth. Sach toh yeh hai ki ishita ne tumhe bewakoof banaya hai, tumhare saath ghoom ghoom kar aish kar li, tumhare paise par aish kar liya ,now she is going.
Raman -bandh karo apni bakwaas and just go away.
Shagun -nahi manna toh mat manno. But the truth is, she is going, uska Auckland university mein selection ho gaya hai for post graduation and she is going to Auckland and she didn't told u about this.she said making Raman and mihir shocked.
Mihir -tumhe kaise pata??
Shagun -ofcourse I know, dad ke paas uska letter aaya hai.
Raman -ishita ko pata hai yeh??
Shagun -i don't know but mail toh uske paas bhi gaya hoga. Tabhi toh unhe avoid kar rahi hai. Soch rahi hogi Auckland mein koi tumse bhi rich phasa legi. Everyone is not loyal like me, Raman. I truly love u. She said caressing his cheek making raman angry. He shrugged her hand and said -aisa nahi ho sakta, she loves me, main jaa raha hoon uske paas, to ask her. He said and walked out of the restaurant and mihir went behind him while Shagun just smirked and went to enjoy.
