I know I know...I am late to this party. I did post some things on the forum 2 days ago when the episode first aired. But I didn't have time to post a topic and this one deserves a topic. I wrote a post which also disappeared on me. (Don't you hate that?).
I just wanted to say that this consummation scene just exceeded my expectations.
When I first started watching it I had to stop in places coz the hotness was getting to me! 😳The whole sequence was so beautifully shot and conceptualized. Starting from their flirting, then the surprise, the promises and then the final coming together in the most passionate way, this was so beautifully done and romantic while being totally sexy. Not even a bit of smut. Not an easy feat. While watching it you didn't feel like you were watching anything but an expression of pure love. At least that is what I felt. This while making it look so hot.
When we first heard about the sequence I remember reading comments like "Zain needs a filter, who promotes a consummation scene?" etc. Even Dragon ji pointed out the rest of the cast had not liked the post, coz they may be embarrassed. I too joined in and joked that they were probably embarrassed coz at the end of the day this is a sex scene between the leads. But BOY was I wrong. This was not ANY sex scene, it was poetic sex. At least that's the only thing I can think to call it.☺️
As you all know I dabble in the creative a bit, and I write when I get the time. I have written a few consummation scenes and I know how tough it is to write those. Because you are trying to write something that is hot and passionate, but romantic at the same time and not smutty. Personally, for me, I need to feel the emotions of the characters and that's why it's not easy to write. It took me a whole day to write the consummation scene for my Prisoner of Love series and listening to 50 shades soundtrack on loop! 😉You know what you want to achieve but actually executing your vision is not easy. Once you're done, you have to post it, and yes you feel a little hesitant, but you know you did something you can be proud of, and if the readers love it, then that's your payoff. You know you achieved what you set out to do!
So what I am trying to say is that I understand why Zain promoted this sequence, coz he would have been proud of what they achieved and I say, he has every right to be! Because this deserved to be seen by as many people as possible. Everyone excelled. Starting from the writing, the dialogues the ambiance, the costumes and then the direction and acting. It was all on point. Even the editing. The soundtrack as always was sublime. This has got to be hands down the best consummation sequence I watched on ITV. They did good, really good. Because unlike for AvNeil this is not a "private moment" for the actors. It's a very public display with camera, lights, and people sometimes yelling etc. In that atmosphere, they produced this. I was really proud of both of them! They excelled.
The best part for me was that AvNeil were equals in this too. Though shy, Avni was bold when required. This was very much 50-50 just like their relationship has been to date. This was so AvNeil as in they were equals even here! The girl did her own seducing it was not just up to the guy. Very impressed. The morning after bit was the cherry on top with Avni looking at Neil like he was the most beautiful thing on earth. (which he was).
