Detailed Update
People in a town come to know that demons are coming that way. They run into their houses and close the doors. However, Kalketu catches one person before he can run away.
Kalketu – What is your name?
That person – Banshi. I have a small king, demon-king.
Kalketu – You are worried about your family, not about yourself?
Banshi – Forgive me, but who does not love his family?
Kalketu – You have lived long. Now die for your family.
Kalketu takes out a sword and comes near Banshi. When he is about to kill Banshi, then Banshi falls on his feet.
Banhi – Spare my life, demon-king.
Kalketu – Whom do you worship, Banshi?
Banshi – Ma Durga.
Kalketu – If you want to be alive, then Durga's name should never come on your tongue. Your hands will never greet Durga. These will never life puja-thali for Durga. Your neck will never bend before Durga. If it bends, then it will be cut off. Say Jail Kalkeu.
Banshi – Jai Kalketu.
Kalketu makes him say it many times. He warns all people not to do any puja.
Goddess – Death is certainty. What is to happen will happen. Then, why fear death? Will man become immortal by worshipping demonic powers? Then, why turn away from godly powers? Why be attached to life? Attachment moves one towards demonic powers. Turning away from one's duty is maya. Man forgets that life and death depend on God's will. So, surrender to God.
In Vijay Durg
Sumukhi is very sad.
Her friends – What is the matter, princess? You consoled prince Surath. Then, why are you sad? Send message to him.
In Chandra Nagri
Pavan comes to Surath.
Surath – Pavan, my friend, I am not interested in ride. I am not able to forget that king Gaurd Dhwaj broke my father's trust. You go.
Surath comes to his palace. He sees pictures of his parents and of Sumukhi.
Surath – One one hand is my love and on the other hand is the cheating by this love.
A minister – King, there is a meeting of ministers. You must be present there. You have to take some important decisions.
Surath – Ask the ministers to forgive me. My mental condition is not good. Whatever decision the ministers take will be acceptable to me.
Minister – As you wish.
Surath gets a letter brought by a pigeon. The letter is from Sumukhi. The letter reads: -
Greetings to prince,
Hope you are well. After meeting you, I am very restless. I feel like being with you and sharing your pain. But I am helpless.
Surath – I am also helpless. If you want to be with me, then ask your father why he broke my father's trust.
He writes a letter to Sumukhi and sends it through the same pigeon.
In Vijay Durg
Gaurd Dhwaj – I will myself tell the whole truth to prince Surath.
Vijaya – Yes, king. Send a letter to prince Surath. Durjay will arrange it to be sent.
Garud Dhwaj writes a letter in the name of Surath and gives this letter to Durjay. (Very wrong decision. After what Durjay did, Garud Dhwaj should not trust him.)

Kalketu and his demons are in a forest.
Kalketu – Vajramushti, there is a temple even in this forest.
Vajramushti – This is a khandahar (old and ruined building).
Kalketu – It has been made as a khandahar. For long, the descendants of Manu wanted to make Durga's temple here. But my ancestors did not let that happen. Now, I want to continue what my ancestors did. Soldiers, break this temple.
Goddess Durga (to nine Durgas) – Hey devis, look at Kalketu. He is made of earth. He wants to turn his creator into earth.
Nine Durgas take form of nine little girls and come to Kalketu.
Girls – You are not allowed to come this way. Still, you came?
Vajramushti – Who can stop demon-king Kalketu?
Girls – Nature.
Kalketu laughs.
Girls – You are laughing at us?
Kalketu – You are very lovely girls.
Girls – We are.
Kalketu – What are you doing in this forest?
Girls – Protection.
Kalketu laughs – Small girls and protection?
Vajramushti – Are you trying to protect this temple?
Girls – We do not need to. If Ma Durga wants, then She will protect it Herself.
Kalketu – Whatever I want will happen. Kalketu wants to destroy this temple.
Girls – If you do so, then you will bring trouble for you.
Kalketu – I am myself a big trouble.
Girls – For centuries, there are weapons in this temple, because of which there can be fire around. If these stones rub, then there will be fire.
Kalketu – Vajramushti, these girls are making me afraid.
Girls – We are warning you. If you attack it, nature will attack you. Go away with your soldiers.
Kalketu – But, I am going to break this temple.
Girls – Take Ma Durga's blessings and go.
Kalketu – All will take Kalketu's blessings.
Girls – Ego does not bend and does not let egoist bend. Then, he bends whether he is man or demon.
Kalketu – Vajramushti, catch these girls.
Vajramushti and some soldiers try to catch the girls but the girls run into the temple. Soldiers go inside the temple but do not find the girls. They come back to Kalketu.
Kalketu – Vajramushti, where are the girls?
Vajramushti – They are not inside.
Kalketu Let me see.
Kalketu goes inside the temple.
Kalketu – There must be some secret passage inside this temple. The girls must have escaped through that. Now, nobody can stop us from breaking this temple.
Durga makes the forest catch fire.
Vajramushti – The forest has caught fire. We must escape fast.
Kalketu – Let us go.
Nine Durgas go back to Ma Durga.
Nine Durgas – Look at Kalketu's ego, Ma. After killing king Chandramukh, he considers himself as all-powerful. He is stopping people from worshipping you. It is must to break his ego. Give him an indication that if he continues like that, then his condition will be the same as that of Mahisasur. What are you thinking, Mother?
Durga – I am thinking that what you are saying is right. Whoever he is, he must be given one chance so that he can give up bad habits.
Goddess Durga makes another goddess sitting on a lion. Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh give their powers to her. She is just like Goddess Durga.
New Durga – Pranam, Mother. What is the order for me?
Original Durga – You have to go to Earth and warn Kalketu that if he does not use his power to protect temples, people and sages, then his destruction is a must.
New Durga takes the form of an old woman and comes on Earth. She carries some grass and walks on Kalketu's way.
Kalketu – Vajramusthi, Look at that old woman. I think that she is deaf. She cannot hear the foot-taps of our horses.
Vajramushti – Together with being deaf, she is also brainless. She does not fear death. See how she is walking in the middle of the road.
Kalketu – Nobody will stop his horse. We will crush her.

Woman – What is the need to shout so much?
Kalketu – O, old woman.

Kalketu shouts – What did you say?
Woman – Again you shouted. Shall I beat you? Didn't you learn how to respect elders?
Vajramushti – O, old woman. Get out of our way.

Vajramushti – Don't you fear death?
Woman – I have to live 100 years more. I have to bring him on correct path.
Vajramushti – Get out the way.
Woman – I will move away. But I am not able to carry this bundle of grass. What do I do?
Kalketu – Burn this bundle.
Woman – No, no, please. What will my cow eat?
Vajramushti tries a lot but is not able to burn the grass.
Kalketu - Throw this bundle.
Woman – No, no, leave it.
Vajramushti is not able to life the bundle. Many soldiers try but they are not able to move the bundle.
Kalketu tries to life it himself but he falls. Out of anger, he beats his own soldiers. He tries again and again to life the bundle but every time he falls.
Woman – So much of ego? But you could not lift a bundle of grass? You have so much of ego that you wanted to destroy Ma Durga's temple. Your path will take you to destruction. Protect sages, do not kill them. Otherwise, who will protect you?
That woman lifts the bundle and moves away. After some time she disappears.
Kalketu – Where is that woman who insulted me? I will kill her. Find her.
In Vijay Durg
A pigeon brings a letter for Sumukhi. Sumukhi's friend takes the letter and reads it. (Bad habit, it is not good to read somebody else's letter.)
The letter reads: -
Greetings to princess Sumukhi from prince Surath,
We are to meet in our marriage. You are with me. This encouraged me. My parents will not be present in our marriage. This pain will always be there. Regarding our marriage, Rajguru ji will soon meet king Garud Dhwaj and queen Vijaya.
Surath
Sumukhi gets the news that her father has fainted. She goes to her father.
Doctor – Do not worry. Your father has become weak.
Dujay – It is because of what you told the king about Surath.
Sumukhi (shyly) – There is no need to worry. I got a letter from Surath. He has written that very soon his Rajguru will come here to talk about marriage.
Garud Dhwaj – I am so happy.
Durjay is in his room. He laughs.
Mohan – Mamaji, she got the letter and you are laughing?
Durjay takes out a letter and reads: -
Greetings to dear princess Sumukhi from Surath,
You came to console me on my parent's death. But my mind became even more restless. I love you. That is why I am opening my heart in this letter. Not somebody else, but your father broke my father's trust.
Mohan – Mamaji, this letter?
Durjay – Surath wrote this letter for Sumukhi. I took it out of the pigeon's leg and put a letter written by me.
Mohan – Mamaji, you are great.
Mohan reads the letter further
After being attacked by Kalketu, my father wanted shelter in Vijay Durg. But king Gaurd Dhwaj got the main door closed. Kalketu killed my wounded and weaponless father. Tell me, princess Sumukhi, am I not standing at the cross-road between love and duty? Tell me what I should do?
Durjay – Sumukhi and Garud Dhwaj must be thinking that Chandra Nagri's Rajguru is coming here to meet the king to talk about the marriage.
Mohan – But, Mamaji, we must reply this letter.
