Nidhi went inside and as it was visiting time in ICU she went to meet Baba...she knew he needed her presence that time... To see that she is fine... with him... she very well knew how much he loved her and she too loved her above anyone else in this world. She went inside and saw him lying on the bed with his eyes closed. She moved her hand softly on his head and he slowly opened his eyes. He saw her and his blurred vision slowly cleared up and he saw her standing there with tears in her eyes.

Nidhi: Baba... Paused for a while... Aap kaise hain?

CV signalled through his eyes and gentle head nod that he was fine. Nidhi held his hand and kissed it lovingly and tears started flowing from her eyes. Since many days this was the first time he had regained his consciousness and was able to recognise her.

Baba: slowly with broken words... Tum ro kyun rahi ho?

Nidhi: yeh to khushi ke aansu hain Baba... aaj itne dino baad aapne mujhe pehchaana...isliye aankhen bhar aayi...aur kuchh nahi... Aap bilkul chinta mat karna...main aur DB bilkul theek hain... aap bas aaram karo... aap ko bahut jaldi theek hona hai... mere liye... Pata hai na...

He again signalled her that he would be fine very soon and smiled to her. She asked him to take rest and went outside the ICU. She kept on recalling her meeting with Dr Ashutosh and her heart was filled with respect and gratitude for him... How he managed to keep himself so calm and composed? She thought. ... not even for once he let his sorrow come up on his face...but that tear expressed everything... The reason for which was she herself... He gave her love and only love forever and she couldn't support her and had to leave him. He is really a man of his words and I owe him a lot...she thought. He has taught me the true meaning of love...that is to give and not expect anything in returns... how would I ever be able to pay him back ...she kept on thinking about him all through the night and somewhat relieved to see him accepting the truth of their life and devoting his life to his patients.

On the other side same was the situation of Ashu... But he was very sad to see Nidhi becoming so quiet and couldn't believe the transition she has gone through...from a lovely bubbly and chirpy girl she had become a silent person...who hardly knows how to smile. He judged this from the few minutes that he was with her. Such was the depth of their relationship that didn't require a long time to understand what the other person is going through. That's why he made sure CV gets shifted to his hospital...so that he could help her come out of her sorrow and guilt and she can try to come back to her normal self. Their separation had a deep impact on her and he only would have to try and make her accept this truth of life and the decision of destiny for both of them. He couldn't see her like this and he wanted his Nidhi back... what if she is no longer a part of his life... atleast she should live for her own self...and she would...with his efforts...he was sure about this.

Next morning CV was to be shifted to his hospital and Nidhi arranged everything for this... while being shifted Nidhi and DB were with him in the ambulance. He asked them where he was being taken and Nidhi just told her that she was taking him to another hospital which was close to their home. She advised him to relax and that this was suggested to them by their surgeon only. She didn't tell him about Ashu operating on him and both Nidhi and DB had decided that they would try and avoid telling him till the time he himself meets Dr Ashutosh. She knew Ashu would handle everything well in the same way as he handled her and DB in this time of crisis. DB too was relieved to see him fulfilling his promise but somewhere inside her heart she was worried for Nidhi... How would she handle this proximity with him when she knows they both can't be together anymore. She too left everything on to destiny as she herself wasn't able to decide anything... Now that fate again brought them together... She realised that it was no longer in her hands and for the well being of CV...she had to agree to this.

He got shifted to KGH hospital and to their relief he was fast asleep when they entered the hospital so he didn't actually see where he was shifted. He was admitted in HDU as his condition was quite stable now. Dr Ashutosh had told her that another couple of days and he would think of discharging him. She sent DB back home for rest and she stayed in the hospital till late evening. Ashu told her not to stay during the night time as he was stable comparatively and their residence was quite close to the hospital...so she could go home during the night time.

It was late evening and today Ashu didn't go directly to see CV and sent a junior doc to see him and review his status and inform him so that he doesn't have to face him so soon. While going home he saw Nidhi sitting in the waiting lounge and her face was looking so dull and pale...he immediately understood that she didn't have anything since morning and was really tired... he went upto her and stood in front of her...feeling so sad to see her like this.

Ashu: Dr Nidhi aap ghar nahi gayi? Aap ko kaha to tha ki aap ghar jaa sakti hain raat mein...(seeing so many other people too there)

Nidhi got up immediately...surprised to see him there...wo ...wo bas main jaa hi rahi thi...

Ashu: aap chale jaao...CV bilkul theek hain...

Nidhi: jee... and she started walking with him to leave for home. While they were going together... Ashu seeing an isolated place offered to drop her home if she is comfortable...initially she resisted but then he told her that he was offering her help as her father's doc and also she would find it difficult to find a convince to her home...so she could come along with him. She agreed to come with him and on the way back home...both of them were quiet absolutely. Ashu was stealing glances at her in between while she was sitting with her eyes downwards...not even a small bit of any expression on her face...so blank...so quiet...so unlike his Nidhi. He took her to a restaurant without telling her and when he stopped she looked around and was surprised to see them at a restaurant.

Nidhi: yahan... Aap to mujhe... Ghar chhodne...

Ashu: haan ghar hi chhodunga...tum chinta mat karo... Par tumne subah se kuchh nahi khaya na... chalo pehle kuchh kha lo... fir ghar chhod dunga... Aao...

Nidhi: nahi ...main ghar pe...

Ashu: ab mere saath ek chai bhi nahi pee sakti kya? Itna paraya ho gaya hu kya main? Ek dost ke naate hi chalo...come on... zyada time nahi lagega... aa jaao...

She had to agree and both of them went inside...he ordered his favourite ginger tea and sandwiches for both of them. He saw her sitting quietly without saying anything...he decided to start the conversation.

Ashu: tum in 6 mahino mein bahut badal gayi ho...

Nidhi: aisa ...nahi to... aisi koi baat nahi hai...

Ashu: tumhara chehra dekh kar bata sakta hu ki tumhare dil mein kya chal raha hai... main ab bhi wohi hu...jaisa tum chhod kar gayi thi... Jaisa tum chahti thi...

Nidhi: haan dekh rahi hu... aap apna vaada bahut achhe se nibhana jaante hain...par main...

Ashu: par tumne to koi vaada nahi kiya tha... Hai na... kyun ki maine tumse koi vaada liya hi nahi tha...sivay iske ki tum meri zindagi mein wapas mat aana... Par ab dekho... Kismat ek baar fir hum ek doosre ke saamne le aayi hai... agar maine tumse kaha hota ki tum kabhi mat badalna...vaada liya hota ki humesha meri pehle wali Nidhi rehna... Tab tum shayad aisi nahi hoti jaisi tum ab ban gayi ho... Mujhse hi galti ho gayi jo maine...

Nidhi: please aisa mat boliye... (she had tears in her eyes)... Bahut koshish ki aap ko bhoolne ki... Par is dil ka kya karu? Yeh meri baat manta hi nahi... Har pal mujhe kehta hai ki maine bahut galat kiya aapke saath... Mujhe aisa nahi karna chahiye tha... Main apne aap ko maaf hi nahi kar paa rahi hu tab se... aap ne kuchh galat nahi kiya...jo kiya mere parivar ki khushi ke liye kiya... yeh guilt mujhe jeene nahi de rahi hai main kya karu aap hi bataiye... na chain se so paati hu na koi kaam kar paati hu...har pal bas yeh ehsaas rehta hai ki aap ko zaroorat ke samay maine akela chhod diya... Main iske bojh se aazad nahi ho pa rahi hu... Nahi ho pa rahi hu... (and she started crying)

Ashu saw her crying and thought of letting her vent out her grief through these tears...that was so very important for her at this moment... otherwise she won't be able to relieve herself of this burden. After some time she tried controlling her tears and he offered his handkerchief to her in order to wipe her tears.

Ashu: itna mat socho...kuchh baatein humare haath mein nahi hoti... Isme insaan ka zor nahi chalta... wo sab upar wale ke haath mein hota hai... to apne aap ko blame karne se kuchh haasil nahi hoga... isme tumhari koi galti nahi hai...to sab se pehle to apne dil aur dimaag se yeh baat nikaal do... hum dono mile kismat se the aur door bhi kismat ki wajah se hi huye the... Ab yeh sab kyun hua iska jawab to kisi ke paas bhi nahi hai...haina... to tum kab tak khud ko aise hi blame karti rahogi...mat karo... Main yeh accept kar chukka hu... Tum bhi kar lo...

Nidhi: aap agar accept kar chuke hain to kal hospital mein aap ki aankhon mein wo aansu kyun the...?

Ashu: aansu ka kya hai... yeh to waqt dekhte hain na mahaul... Lekin agar zindagi jeeni hai to sachai se muh nahi mod sakte na... to tumhare liye yehi achha hoga ki tum sach accept kar lo ki hum dono ka saath hona humari kismat mein nahi hai...

By that time tea and sandwiches came and he asked her to have something...and although she didn't want to have them but still she did have some...as she couldn't let his efforts go in vain... She knew he was doing everything for her sake only. By the time they had to leave...it started raining... both of them waited for some time for the rain to stop...but as it was getting late... He offered his coat to her so that she could cover herself till the car parking. He dropped her home and before getting down... She said... Thanks for everything... I know aap mujhe kya samjhane ki koshish kar rahe the... Main aap ki baat par amal karne ki koshish karungi... " and she went inside her home and he went to his home. Somewhere he was relieved to see that she understood what he was trying to tell her. He just wished everything gets settled soon so that she can carry on with her normal life...he wasn't able to bear the pain of seeing her in such condition.

Dil ke jazbaat samajhna itna bhi mushkil nahi hai

Aankhen dil ke haalaat har pal bayaan karti hain

Bas zaroorat hai to us dil ki jo aankhon ki zubaan samajh sake

Lafzon ke bina hi saare jazbaat kitaab bankar saamne aa jaate hain
