Maan and Geet took the bus for their home, "Hey where do live. "Park Street...and you, Geet asked. "Are you the ones who occupied the huge Mansion there, He asked. "How do you know, She said. "Because I live right across you...we are neighbors, Maan said. "You must be kidding, She said. Maan laughed at her expressions, "No I really do, you have that huge mansion and a playground too and also a slope right, He asked. "Yes..but how do you know.., She said. "See I told you we are neighbors, since you have that much space, you can adopt him right. I can help you train him it will be easy, He smiled. "It is not that easy ..., She said looking down .
"Do you want a pic of him, I took it on my mobile, tell me your number I will send it to you, He said showing his mobile. "Hmm...at least I will have his pic, She said sadly. "If you want it that bad, I think you shouldn't have given up on him, He tried again. "I want to but I don't think I can have him, She said. "If that is how far your affection go then it will be hard to keep him, He said.
"See my house is opposite yours, He pointed making Geet startled and she lost her balance and due to her short skirt she ended up in an embarrassing situation. "Are you alright, He said holding her hand. "Am ...Am fine...its not a big deal right, people are clumsy, She smiled though he can understand her situation. "Its alright to let people know if you are not comfortable in some attire or some situation, He spoke genuinely but it made Geet angry thinking he is making fun of her. "You are the one who should be embarrassed you moron, your sleeves are always unbuttoned...that is so inappropriate, She blurted shocking him and ran off to her house.
Geet entered her house to find her mom waiting for her. She was unable to walk due to a past accident so she was now on a wheelchair. "Geet, how did you hurt your knee and why are you wearing such a short skirt, She questioned her daughter. "Nothing mom, I just tripped over something will be careful the next time, She smiled. "It must be hurting, bring me the first aid box, so I can clean you up and after that go bring some groceries so that I can cook our diner, She said. Geet nodded and did what her mom told.
She looked back at her life. She was always prim and proper. Geet was never a kid to throw tantrums or be selfish ...but looking back in her mobile she really wanted to be selfish and want the little pup for herself. Maan was looking at his lappy and found the puppy was already put on sale. Maan recalled her face and her words.
He looked at the screen and thought, "If she wanted it that desperately, then why don't she just buy it ...their Mansion is huge with a good playground...ah, why am I even thinking on that. His mom came in to call him for dinner. "Maan stop wasting your time on the internet and come down for dinner...I have been calling you for sometime now, His mom Kaya said. "Oh, Mom I'm not doing anything on the internet am just looking at something, He defended. "You know about the new neighbors, Kaya asked. "Oh not again mom stop gossiping already, He said knowing his mom loved hearing baseless gossips.
His dad was mostly on business trips so it was always the two of them. "No, it is not baseless, you know it is a family of three, A daughter, her dad who is on business trips and her mom who is wheelchair bound. You see her dad designed that house with that slope to facilitate his wife's activities ...since they are alone the daughter has to do everything on her own...I feel we should really help them if need arise ...what do you think, Kaya told. Geet went to the school next day all gloomy. Pari approached her, "How are you doing today. "I'm fine, She smiled. "What happened dear, you don't look fine, Pari said. Payal came in putting her bag and Geet was quick to ask her, "Did you really sell it. "I had no other choice Geet than to put in online, She said leaving them sitting on her seat as the teacher had come in. Pari and Meera dragged Geet to the computer room. "Geet, if you want it then you should. We can't see you gloomy, Meera said. "How did you know, She looked up surprised. They smiled looking at her. "Because we can see it written all over your face, come on if you don't have enough collateral, we will share okay, They offered. Geet smiled happy to find friends like them. "The bidding ends in an hour, so let's start, Pari said. "Alright then we can do it, let's start, Meera said. They trio tried for an hour but the bidding ended and the highest bidder was named as MK. "MK...huh...did he, Geet just read that and ran to find Maan.
"Heyyy, stoppp, She said pulling his hand causing his sleeves to unbutton again as the button broke off. "What are you doing, He said annoyed. "Why did you button your sleeves today, She asked. "Because my hands are bigger so I couldn't button them not because I was being inappropriate, He said. "I..I'm sorry, She said. "It is fine, no need to be sorry about, He said leaving. "MK...right, She asked making him stop in his tracks.
"Huhh, so you are that other bidder, you moron what were you thinking you made the price raise upto 1 lakh ...ahhh, this is just great, He said rubbing his forehead. "I...I please let me share that pup with you...I will pay you half the amount to let me share it ...please ...it is the first thing I want for myself..., She pleaded. Maan looked back at her and smiled, "Alright then, let's go bring him in together. She smiled hearing that and nodded. Both went to Payal's house to get it. "What should we call him, He asked. "Inu, She smiled. "Alright Inu, let's go to your new home.
