Hey its Siyah Beyaz Ask meaning Black White love.

Well I am watching it and as DefLeppard said the role of Ferhat is very befitting Ibrahim. I like it so far. I like Birce too and she is doing justice to her role as well.

It's a great drama huh... I'm so in love and obsessed with our main leads. Brice and Ibrahim have amazing chemistry. It's so tangible. What episode are you on? Also the support character are great.

I agree with both of you, the role was made for Ibrahim, he takes Ferhat to another dimension.

Thank God it didn't happen. Brice and Ibrahim are killing it, they're perfect as AsFer.

Well I am quite updated on the episodes, at the latest episode now. I agree that Brice and Ibrahim have an amazing chemistry or should we say Ferhat and Asli have a great chemistry. I love almost all the side characters (in fact sometimes more than the leads) with the exception of cuyneit and Handan. But they too must be doing their work correctly as they are ment to invoke hate emotions and they are able to do it quite well.
I think the series' original writer offered it to many people including Tuba and Kivanac but they were not very sure of the story and so they opted for Cezur ve guzel. At some point there were rumors that they offered the role to Engin A too but then also nothing materialize. I guess the plot did not appeal to many people and to be true till the writer changed after first three episodes the series was not very captivating. I guess the new writer has been good for the show and he has a knack of keeping the viewers hooked.

P.s. please change the title to Siyah Beyaz Ask as people might misunderstand it.

What works:

1.Chemistry of the leads, presenting the Stockholm syndrome refreshingly.

2.extended family of characters to give sub plots

3.Ibrahim is much doing such brooding roles where he doesn't talk much.

4.Birce's dominating body language.

What doesn't work:

1'Wafer thin plot which cannot be stretched into 40 episode dizi. Namik being daddy cannot be omni portent strong conflict.

2.Frequent change of creatives, first writers, and now director etc

3.Inconsistent character etch for Asli...she is supposed to be doktor until Ferhat angrily calls her to remind us! ;-)

4.Gulsum seems to be stagnant (just like Beril of Olene Kader)

4.Banking too much on social media buzz (we know what happened with Kalp Atisi's slow death) LOL

8 gun starring Bugra Gulsoy, Musa etc from Ay Yapim is slotted for a Monday night air time.

So there could be change of favours if suitable mends are not made by SBA team!!

Hey Def I agree with most of your points barring few, the change of writer in SBA has worked in favor of the series as most of the viewers started watching it after the first writers left and this one started writing. As for the director, what I have heard is that the previous one was making quite a lot of mistakes in shooting and editing. The new one has a good reputation with successful shows but I agree frequent changes in creative team results in inconsistent storylines and is not good for show. Another point of social media, you are totally right but SBA has decent and consistent rating with some really tough competitors.

Did not know 8 gun is slotted for Monday..?? I thought the day not decided as yet! Well if it is Monday, it will have to compete with some very popular shows like soz and cukur let alone SBA. What works in its favor is Ay yapim. They give their shows a good chance to survive and back them to the fullest.
