Lovely part is when Naina knew he wud be waiting for her at her seat, to hit the shot, and it succeeds!

Nice take, love woven nicely into a friendship that is there, but rarely known and understood yet!

Naina has supporters in Swati and Sameer in Nanu, but Kamya's scene was much important as to know the real feelings of Sameer's heart for Naina even to himself!

What he explained to Lochan Sir about the importance in one's life! He is firm to get Naina's forgiveness and getting her back in his life, as a friend as of now!

Very beautiful narration, very well twisted the last shot in the match and very emotional scene with his Mom later at his home, where he has realised what matters to him more - Naina's being there in his life!

Awesome as always, and i loved the understanding you have shown of Sameer, he is more calm, more positive to the life, and more shielded towards his goal!

Part 10

Now that they had won the cricket match he was now eyeing the guitar competition... Guitar was always his hobby and since childhood he had been learning and practicing guitar...but now that he wanted to win this competition for Naina...he was becoming anxious...he didn't know what to play in the competition. He was thinking about the options when the phone rang twice. He instantly knew that it was Naina... he picked up the phone and thanked Naina... she asked him why was he thanking her when he was the one who had done all the hard work and played so well in the cricket match. He instead told her that he was thanking her for giving him a second chance... he now has an aim in life which was lacking earlier... he wouldn't have done all this if she didn't come into his life.. everything happens for a reason and this bet indirectly became a blessing in disguise for him...he could realise what it means to have a person in your life who loves you whole heartedly. She helped him come out of the bet and so he was able to work hard to gain her friendship once again.

He knew that if she is with him..he can pass every challenge in life...and also that despite her not forgiving him...she is there with him as his support...Naina was pleased to see his determination and so much he had changed since the time they came back from Mt Abu...no one could believe this. But she knew that this was true...he had changed and now he has become so very responsible and calm. He asked her which song or music to play for the guitar competition? She asked him to close his eyes and see whose face comes in front of his eyes...so just go ahead and play something for that person...something that's close to his heart. Sameer was thankful to her for the suggestion and after this Naina said goodnight and ended the call.

Sameer smiled when he thought about her suggestion...he wondered whether this would work...he had never done such a thing before in his life...but believeing Naina's advice she thought of giving it a try...he just closed his eyes and tried to see who is the one whose face comes in front of his eyes... the first person whose face comes is that of his Nanu...then his mother and far at a distance he saw someone standing... He tried to see who that person was so he went closer to that person in his mind... to his surprise and happiness that person was none other than Naina...he decided that he would play something for her only during the competition which was supposed to take place a week later. He thought of composing a song for Naina and singing that in the competition along with the guitar. The days kept passing by and he was managing his studies and guitar well.. Munna, Pandit and Swati were surprised with his determination... they couldn't believe themselves that this is their Sameer Maheshwari who is now totally a different person altogether.

Finally the day of the guitar competition arrived... Sameer's Mom called up to wish him good luck... she would be really happy if he wins the competition...Sameer instantly spoke up... wo bhi to yehi chahti hai... Vishakha sked him whom he was talking about...he just escaped by saying that the teachers in the school also wanted this as this was an interschool competition. He thanked her for calling and as soon as he kept the phone it rang again... it was Munna's call...he was really very upset.

Sameer: Munna kya baat hai? tu itna pareshan kyun lag raha hai?

Munna: Sameer main kab se tujhe phone kar raha hu... mere Papa ...unhe...

Sameer: kya hua tere Papa ko?

Munna: unhe na chest pain ho raha hai... hospital le jaana hai...par aas paas koi auto hi nahi mil raha hai...aaj autos ki strike hai...

Sameer: tu chinta mat kar...main abhi car lekar aata hu...

Munna: tu kaise aayega...tujhe car chalani aati hai kya? Munshi ji hain to wo aa jayenge...tera to aaj competition hai na...

Sameer: arey Munshi ji nahi hain aaj...chhutti pe hain...mujhe aati hai... tu fikr mat kar ...main aata hu...uncle ko hospital chhod kar main school chala jaaunga...theek hai...tu fikr mat kar...main aa rah ahu..

He informed Nanu about his father and took the car and left for his home...Nanu had an urgent meeting otherwise he himself would have also gone... Sameer went and took Munna's father to the enarby hospital...he got him admitted and by that time pandit had also come... both of them asked him to hurry to school as he was already late. He rushed immediately and asked Pandit to be with him. There in school the competition had started and Naina was anxiously waiting for Sameer who was no where to be seen...she asked Swati but she too had no clue...soon it would be his turn and if he didn't turn up ... hewould be disqualified and again the teachers would get a chance to be upset with him.

His name was called and he had not reached yet... they called his name twice but still he wasn't there...Naina went upto the organisers and requested them to let him perform in the end as he must have been stuck up somewhere... They weren't ready initially but with her repeated requests they agreed and carried on with the competition...soon the last candidate would perform and if he doesn't come then? "kahan ho Sameer... Jaldi aa jaao na... she kept mumbled to herself. Soon she saw him hurriedly entering the auditorium...she and Swati went upto him and asked him where he had been missing...she told him about his turn at the end and he told him about Munna's father being admitted in the hospital and that he had to go to help Munna because of the auto strike.

Just then his name was announced and he went upto the stage... he looked at Naina before starting his performance and who was standing with her hands folded as if she was praying for his success.sameer starting the song along with playing the guitar he had composed for her and she instantly knew that he was singing for her...she was lost in the lyrics and was surprised to know that he had composed this song himself...being a movie buff she knew that this was his original composition ( I cant write the lyrics of the song as I myself cant do that...so I leave it for you all to imagine yourself). While singing he recollected all their moments together in the school and Mt Abu trip and all what she had done for him. The performance ended and when he looked towards Naina ...he saw her standing still with tears in her eyes... he knew that her song reached her heart and she had understood that the song was meant for her.

He came down the stage and sat along with the rest of the participants... After some time the results were announced and as expected he had won the competition... all of them were very happy to see him win the competition and he took his trophy and came straight to her as if trying to tell her that this trophy is only because of her and she deserves to see that before everyone else. Naina was elated to see the trophy but she didn't say anything in front of Swati. Swati expressed her wish to meet Munna at the hospital as his father was sick... Sameer was happy to know this as he could see Swati's feelings changing for Munna...he could clearly see this in her eyes. He told her that she can come with him in his car as he was going directly to the hospital only.

Swati asked Naina too to accompany her as she wont be able to go alone...Naina resisted initially but when Swati insisted...she had to agree...both of them went with Sameer towards his car...Sameer instantly opened the door to the seat next to the drivers seat as if offering her to sit there but she kept on standing outside... She asked Swati to sit there in the front .

Swati: na baba na...main nahi baithungi...mujhe bahut darr lagega...main kabhi car mein nahi baithi...

Naina: tu to aise bol rahi hai jaise main roz car mein baith ti hu...

Sameer understood that Naina wasn't comfortable in sitting with him so he asked both of them to sit at the back seat and offered himself as their driver for the day. Naina felt bad on hearing this but finding no other option both of them went and sat inside. Sameer was very happy as for the first time a girl was sitting in his car and that too she was Naina...who was the most special person in his life... he kept on peeping through the mirror and smiled to see her smiling with Swati... both of them were too happy to sit in a car for the first time. Soon they reached the hospital and Sameer went inside fast and asked both of them to be a little behind as he wanted to surprise Munna. He asked him about his father's health and Munna told him that the doctors had told him that his father had a minor heart attack and would soon be fine. He was relieved and showed them his trophy and all 3 hugged each other out of happiness that he had won the competition.

Sameer told him that someone has come to meet him...Munna was scared as he thought the teacher might have come there to scold him for not informing in the school about his leave. But to his surprise he saw Naina and Swati coming there...he had a smile on his face when he saw Swati there.

Munna: aye Pandit tub hi aaya hai...aur sipahi bhi...

Swati: tumhare Papa ke baare mein pata chala... To chinta ho gayi thi...kaise hain wo ab?

Munna : Pandit tujhe bhi mere Papa ki chinta hui...

Swati: aur nahi to kya...tumhare Papa mere bhi to...

Munna: tere bhi to kya Pandit...

Swati (blushed on realising what she had just said): mere bhi to bade hain... to unka haal chaal poochne aa gayi...

Both of them had an eyelock and Sameer seeing this asked Naina and Pandit to leave them alone there and come with him. All of them went to the hospital canteen and Naina was very shy as she was now alone with Sameer and Pandit... Pandit went to get tea and samosas for them so that they could talk in isolation.

Naina: wo tumne unhe akele chhodne ko kyun kaha?

Sameer: wo isliye jisse wo kuchh baat kar paye... tumne dekha nahi... Munna use bahut chahta hai...aur ab wo bhi use pasand karne lagi hai... to unhe kuchh time akele milna zaroori hai...

Naina: par hume ghar jaane mein der ho gayi to daant padegi ...

Sameer: tum chinta mat karo hum jaldi wapas chale jayenge... theek hai...

Naina smiled to him and said: waise wo jo gaana tumne likha tha... Bahut achha tha... kavita ke saath yeh bhi aata hai tumhe... aur uski dhun?

Sameer: sab maine hi tayaar ki hai...tumhe achha laga...

Naina: haan bahut achha tha...

Sameer: tumhe dhyan mein rakhke likha tha... and both of them shared an eyelock which was broken by Pandit coming with tea and samosas. All of them had them and took some for Munna and Swati. Soon Sameer left with Naina and Swati and dropped them close to their homes. Naina was very happy today for two reasons...one Sameer had won the competition and second Swati had confessed to Munna that she liked him. She knew that soon she would also see a day when he proves himself worth of getting her forgiveness and her friendship. He was on the right path and she was able to see that his efforts are making him a better person who cared for everyone's emotions and feelings. She was herself waiting for that day and that wasn't far now...she could feel this at heart.
