Well, the difference is that Shivaay had to rescue Annika.While in Rikara, Gauri clearly is the saviour, she herself stabbed Kali Thakur, she saved Om, she alone exposed Buamaa.So, Gauri and Annika are not similar.Also, Annika is pretty seedhi girl. Gauri is grey, she will resort to wrong means for achieving her motives. Be it forging her identity for a job, or faking a pregnancy.So, IMO Rikara is clearly different from other AYM stories.
Like I said it was just my POV but you clearly had to bring in Shivika and draw comparisons right 😆😆
Ok so let me also add. SSO wasnt just plain angry or irritated with Anika. He had his reasons starting from the deeply rooted NKK inside him. He wanted to be with her but his NKK stopped him. SSO also didnt have any problem with "real Anika" but rather it was the struggle b/w his heart and mind. To believe his heart who yearns for Anika and see her as a pure soul or to believe his mind which judged her on her NKK.

But anyways coming to the point, Anika has always been an independent girl fighting for herself and having no support at all. Her one weakness is her fear of darkness which Daksh took advantage of and hence Shivaay had to save her. And do I even need to make a list of situations where Anika saved Shivaay and the whole Oberoi fam? (Trust me it will easily beat Gauri's 😆)
Aur ha hamari jodi haina vo equally ek dusre ko save karte hai. Koi ek Savior nahi hai dono ek dusre ke hai and trust me they also dont need any motivation to save the other 😛
Apni pairing ki tareef karni toh karo par Shivika ko neecha dikhane ki zarurat nahi 😳😳
