Last Scene
Maan looked back to see a shocked Geet waiting for answers. "I hope I'm clear now, so please stop troubling her, He said. The media left getting the scoop as Maan ushered her inside her house. "What was that Maan, She demanded.
"I said the truth Geet, I was going to marry you, Dadima has already talked to your parents about it and they are fine with it, He said.
"You didn't even asked me, She said. "Geet we will talk about that later, He said. "Anya, please try to make her understand the situation, you are her closest friend..., He turned to Anya. "Maan, I think she needs time, Anya said trying to control the situation. "Geet, I have a case today so I will be heading there, you should rest, Anya please look after her for few days, He requested her. "You don't have to ask me that, I'm here for her, She said.
Maan left not even giving her answers to her questions. Maan had different worries in mind right now. He did love her but he always thought of the right time to tell her that, but now he had to announce everything in a jiffy as she was losing it. He recalled his chat with Dadima when she asked him to tell her about his feelings but he refused thinking that her career is more important. He could risk anything but not her life and so Dadima has insisted that they get married so Geet could be safe. He was still trying to look for clues and had a strong doubt that something was amiss but what ...he couldn't get it. He first thought it might be due to work pressure but no now he was sure it was something much more deep and the fact that she wasn't opening up to him wasn't helping him either so he just those words to protect her.
Geet went to the sets with Anya, she could see all eyes on her and people whispering. She took her seat and Anya hugged her, "Don't listen to them Geet.
"Did you hear ...she must be a bad omen ...everyone connected to her dies ...they say she was two timing Rohan and the scriptwriter, She heard them whispering. "Now the big jackpot...Mr Khurana the famous lawyer announced their marriage ...may be she will get him kil..., before they could continue they were all silenced by Rishabh.
"Don't you guys have any better things to do, go and prepare for my next scene...get it wrong and I'll report you all to the Producer and get you fired, got it, He warned the gossiping lot. He went to Geet, "Are you alright dear. She nodded though still disoriented with everything happening around her. "Geet, it is all a part of this industry dear, please don't let it get to you. You are doing great, He cheered. But Geet was too much disturbed with everything. "Alright Geet you are up for the next shot...breathe faster ...and give us the great expressions, you have just killed someone, The Director explained the scene. Geet looked at the man lying in blood in front of her ...though it was just color and the actor was fine but the stress made her see things. Somehow she completed the scene and was applauded by everyone. "Great Geet, you are perfect, The lead actress smiled and applauded her.
She came back home and just dropped herself on the bed tired of the day's events. She switched on the news and it was the usual going on. She gave in to the tiredness and slept. She woke up with a start the next day and heard the doorbell. "You okay, Anya asked. "I'm fine. Honestly, I don't even know if all this is real or not...I hardly get to know what day it is...Maybe I'm living in a dream ...or may be I am ...her, She said. "Geet, please, you are okay. I'm not getting much time to come to you lately when I should be around you, She apologized. "It's alright Anya, I trust you the most. You are the closest whom I can share everything with, Geet said. "So what have you thought for Maan, She asked. "I..I don't know, Geet said still not understanding how to respond to him. "Don't worry, everything will be fine. Tomorrow is the last I guess, Anya said getting up to leave.
The next day arrived and they shot the final scene. Geet was applauded for her brilliance and everyone was now preparing for the party tomorrow. "Geet, ready for the evening party, The lead actress smiled. "I really hope we get to work again in future dear, you are brilliant. Hope you make it to the party, She smiled. "Thank you Ma'am...I will try to Ma'am, She said. The lead actress smiled waving her goodbye. Geet was going to the green room to collect her things. The eerie silence was making her scared but she just had to take her bags and get to Anya waiting for her in the parking lot.
"You still waiting for someone,The agent asked Anya. "Yeah, Geet is in there, so just waiting for her to get back, She answered. "Oh, well Geet just landed herself another role. This time it is of a different genre, I'm trying to talk to the Producer not to give any racy scenes there but you knows its show business right, He smiled. "Yeah, its just part and parcel of it. Goodbye, She smiled waiting for Geet. On the other hand, Geet got a call from Maan, "Geet, where are you ...Listen ...to me..."Hello Maan, your voice is unclear. I'm here in the gree..., Before she could complete her mobile fell down as she turned around to see ...him.
