Vidyut is driven by power he thinks once he is an MLA he can use his position and connections to get Avni out of jail on parole so she can be indebted to him. Another reason appears to be wanting to get his mother out as well, I thought he had forgotten about his precious mother but in OLVs its obvious that is not the case.

VR's dialogues are confusing
He tells the jail inmates Avni is adarsh kaidi she got his mother arrested n now he wants Avni to help RP to get out of Jail??? Won't RP be a fugitive how as MLA he is going to handle this v confusing right now...this will only get Avni into more trouble she will stay inside Jail for longer how does he plan to get married to her then...does he want RP out so he can send her out of country?

Maybe mamoni had said the same line to vidyut as neil had said to avni : kya faida is rishte ka, is apnepan ka?! Agar tum mujhe jail se baahar laa hi nahi paa rahe ho 😡

Vidyut main aim to be a MLA was to bring out Avni on payroll and keep her under his control, but taking Neo's doing on her head,Vidyut couldn't do any thing, remember Avneil couldn't bring Vidyut fall as he a clean image in society which he kept for years,so now to malign Neil's image he made a plan to trap Avneil , kidnapped Neela ma and asked her to run away with RP, he knows Neil and Avni will do anything ,so he thinks if Avni and Rp run away from Neil's custody,all will blame Neil and once Avni is out ,he won't let her go anywhere
