@DAZZ, first of all thank you for posting this here. I saw the pic in TIO and didn't see the teaser.
Well, I liked the teaser. Harkate - little cheap in my POV. SRK is trying something different. Interesting thing for me is how he is shown as dwarf on screen, seems that good technology is used to achieve this.
Also, it is from the directory who directed Tanu Weds Manu so hopefully it will be good.
All the best to me and all SRK fans, hopefully everyone will like this movie.
I am looking forward to songs as well 👍🏼

I was slightly disappointed to be honest, Ami. Aside from SRK's depiction of dwarfism, I felt as if it had the same commercial flavour prevalent in most of his films. I might be jumping to conclusions far too quickly here, but I had very high hopes for this movie and his career. Another flop and I fear he may be dethroned as King Khan. 😭 I don't think anyone had ever anticipated that Imtiyaz Ali's Harry Met Sejal would've been that big of a disaster. 🥺 SRK needs to find content-driven films like Aamir and Akshay who are now pros in their own rights. It's been a downward spiral for SRK since Ra.One.

I am just laughing it off for now, not much expectations either.
Like Ami said, what seems different is use of technology to portray him as dwarf...like never
done before. No idea of the story either..😳
I wonder what Anushka Sharma's character is in this & Katrina has always been a
big disappointment...( she simply cannot act IMO ) 😕

Her statement...
While talking about the film, Katrina revealed, "Initially, I was supposed to play myself in Zero. The film was titled Katrina Meri Jaan. There was a different cast on board and Shah Rukh sir wasn't part of it. Now, it's a satirical take on an actress".

We might be surprised by the story, Mish. 😳 I had no idea it was a sarcastic view on an actress' life. I think there might be a high dose of humour incorporated into the script which could work at the box office. This was just a sneak peek into the film. 😊 In all honesty, in the past seven years Fan has been SRK's only applaud-worthy performance. He was fantastic as Gaurav Khanna, unfortunately the scrip didn't support that performance and the film failed at the box office. I don't think he got it completely right with Raees either although he was in a negative role. We'll have to wait and see what Zero does for his career. 🤔

More from ShahRukh himself on the character...

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has thanked his fans for showering love and appreciation to the teaser of "Zero".

The teaser of his first creative collaboration with director Aanand L Rai released on the first day of 2018.

The teaser shows Shah Rukh essaying a vertically challenged man, dancing away at a party. The teaser ends with a dialogue in which he talks about people call him a "zero" and how he amplifies the lives of others if he stands behind them.

"Thank you all for making 'Zero' feel like a hero. Sometimes our importance in life is not who we are, but what we make others become by our presence in their lives. Aanand L Rai's 'Zero' stands for that. 'Zero' 20 million," SRK tweeted.

The central character of the Red Chillies Entertainment film is described as 'Paagal', 'Aashiq', 'Awaara' and more, but he is seen happy in his own world, not seeking empathy from anyone. His disability does not stop him to live a happy life.

Looks like it's going to be the story of struggle of acceptance of this character
in the real world with a comic touch. Well there's no doubt in SRK Giving his best to his character.
It's the whole package that needs to work in his favor for it to be a box office success

I hope that it does work in his favour, Mish! I want him to regain his long-lost glory as one of his ardent fans. 😳 Thank you so very much for sharing these excerpts from that article. 🤗

We can hope for the best and wish all the luck, DAZZ.
I could not connect to Harry Met Sejal, didn't even bother to finish the movie.
I am not understanding one thing, why he is signing the directors under his banner. Directors should come to him with good script
HAven't seen him signing any films under any good banner.
He is a sensible person and uptodate with the current trend, also he is very intelligent.
I am at loss, not sure what is going on..

Also, I would say, trend is changing. Now people are more realistic and enjoy different subjects. Hopefully he will get good subjects to work on.

I try to watch TED talks India hosted by SRK in the wknd😃 I think it airs on Star plus. Some people are very innovative.

@Mish, thanks for getting Shah's interview. Good to know more about the film.

Ami, I recall SRK saying in an interview once that he was expanding his own production house. He isn't signing under any other production house for this reason alone. His sole concentration is on his career and his production house. I'm sure if Yash Raj or Dharma were to give him a good character to enact, he wouldn't refuse. 😊 There's also been talk about him collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his next film. I've also heard that Don 3 is in the pipelines because Farhan is itching to get back to direction. If true, then I'm sure it'll be a collaboration between Red Chillies and Excel Entertainment. 😳

DAZZ, happy to know that he is open to work under other PH. I am excited about Don 3. I love him in gray characters as well. He performs really well.
Thanks for the info.!

You know what I want to watch? A sequel to K3G! 😳 I want SRK and Kajol to play parents to teenagers with a script around parenting in this new age. A classic Karan Johar film with some romance, some humour, and a lot of emotion. 😊 It would have to be relatable to the Indian masses for it to be a hit. ⭐️
