Standing by the window he could only feel as if someone had just knock the life out of him. Every word that he had just heard from her mouth were like thousands of needles heading straight to his heart. " Maybe I heard wrong...she could not have just accepted this marriage! All he could feel at this very moment was anger as well as helplessness, because yet again it was his fault. Even though he hated that vile man to the point of wanting to choke the life out of him, but everything that man had said was not wrong . The look of sadness in her eyes when she couldn't even deny all these truths was something he could never in his life forget. The breaking in her voice and the pain that circled around the words " I accept this marriage proposal turned his world into complete darkness. He couldn't lose her like this, all his efforts could not be in vain, Om knew he had to do something. Gauri was his; His to apologize to; his to love; his to call Wife. He hadn't even gotten the chance to give her all the happiness that she deserved.
Looking at Ajay's face made Gauri feel repulsed . Yes, she had accepted his proposal and it was the hardest thing for her to utter those words. Her mind was full of Richa and the unborn child. How could she solve this without agreeing to this creep's demands. It was impossible. Everything was too sudden and this was the only way to buy time. She needed time to think what her next step would be. Because she could NOT and will NOT marry this man. No matter what he may think of her marriage she will only belong to Om. Her heart will always be with him. After agreeing to Ajay's proposal Gauri hurried out with her mom because she couldn't stand looking at his smirking face any longer.
Om seeing Gauri leave slowly slipped back outside to follow them closely behind. Right when Gauri returned home her mom grabbed her arm to look her in the eyes " why...why did you agree Gauri!...you're married already!...what was Ajay saying?!!...tell me! Gauri could only look at her mom but no words could come out. How could she tell her mom about Richa's pregnancy...how could she tell her that she was never accepted as Om's wife...that everything she believed was a lie. Gauri just couldn't say the words but the tears in her eyes had already told her mom everything.
It was getting dark and everyone was already tired and stressed. Gauri put her mom to bed insuring her everything will work out fine and to let her handle Richa's matter. Gauri slowly walked toward her room but then she heard the rain drops outside. Her mind was numb..her body was tired and her heart was solemn. She turned to walk towards her little garden. Once she felt the rain hit her skin it was as if it was consoling her. Telling her that it will wash away all her problems. As she stands in the dark she lifts her head towards the sky letting the rain trickle along her face. Her hands held open as if offering herself to the night sky to take her away. In this life she will love only him, even if she didn't get his love in return she will never belong to another. Pain started to build up in her chest as thoughts of Om came rushing in. She missed him dearly. The wound he inflicted on her that night was still there but the love she has for him was growing day by day. Hoping for the rain to ease her pain she stood there till she was drenched head to toe.
But not so far behind was Om. Seeing her stand there in the rain brought back so many memories. The time where the only thing he could do was hold her as she cried in his arms. He wanted so much to run out and hold her and tell her that everything will be okay. But he knew he couldn't ..not yet. He needed to wait, he needed to talk to her and to find out why she would do a thing like this. Om was determined to ask Gauri the very next morning.
Morning felt like forever for Om. He was patiently waiting outside Gauri's room to get a chance to talk to her. This time he will make sure he is there to solve all her problems.
