I am still ROFL by Massi's dialogue to Palomi that she is always on a "Tawa.
Kanak is on a roll, she is bulldozing her way through all the defenses against her, she has her razor tongue to cut through the barbed wire spider web Massi has made. Honestly I have never seen a reluctant dulha ever trying out his sherwani in the middle of the house for everyone to bake their eyes on him - that apart I loved the way Kanak flirted with him, calling him desi and handsome, a combination she likes, she stops Palomi from touching him, as she is still a payari stree, but steps forward and is all hands on him, whispering in his ears that she knows he learned a song for her, and teases when would he sing it for her, he is uncomfortable with the proximity but at a certain point his expressions seems to be off amusement... she was all on him, tucking away his safa, that itself shows that she hasn't given him up, only she can touch him and own him and his heart - (disclaimer : people are not to be owned, but it's meant in a term that's more of a romantic)
His eyes followed her movements, her hands on him, her voice as a siren luring him, her eyes sparkling with a challenge, the love she exudes and he absorbed. She was centimeters away, yet he couldn't hold her, she was holding on to him, yet he couldn't touch her, she was expressing herself and her right over him, her love for him yet he could only stand there.
Kanak stops Palomi when she advances towards her mangalsutra - that is symbolic of her identity and no one can take it away from her till she is alive... - everyone is is shocked for Kanak's action are opposing her decision to divorce, she is playing wife more than ever before.
Uma is all formal with her and calls her out to talk to Kanak. Kanak comes out and teases him that he wants to sing a song for her, he asks her for the mangalsutra, for as long as she wears it Palomi can't wear it. Kanak refuses to give it up till her last breath. - that was death mentioned twice by Kanak, and Uma's face showed agony at the mere thought of it. He has already lost their relationship he couldn't bear to lose her. Uma understands that Kanak is not a gold digger but whatever the reason Kanak had, it has cost them their relationship... he is impressed and conflicted by Kanak at the same time, he sees her ferociousness with which she is obsessed with the mangalsutra, he reminisces that she jumped in the fire for it , the way she shut Palomi down and she refused him - she has stated it twice that Mahadev has fixed their marriage and it can't be broken in paper, why does it feel like the divorce is just a hoax.
