The contestant evicted this week is Hiten Tejwani and it does not come across as much of a surprise. Hiten had been lagging behind in the voting trends since the beginning of this week and this combined with the massive fan mobilization for Shilpa, Luv and Priyank costed Hiten a lot.
Gauri's callous behaviour was also a major contributor. A lot of people did not like how she chose to ignore Priyank and Luv. Priyank is the guy who shaved his hair for Hiten. If you cannot be courteous to him then forget getting appreciation from the audience. Gauri did face a lot of social media backlash for this.
Increasingly a lot of people tend to agree with the point that Hiten is indeed a follower and has always done Vikas' bidding in the game. Something which a lot of viewers did not approve of or support.
Awaam also did not like how he tried to double cross Arshi who happened to be the only person who saved him from nominations last week. Maybe he got carried away with the positive feedback Shilpa gets and wanted to ally with her but people who have their feet in two boats at the same time always tend to fall.
Without a doubt Priyank and Luv have a lot more fans voting for them actively and Hiten and Vikas' fans combined could not beat them.
I also think Karan Patel campaigning for Hiten kind of backfired too because a lot of neutral viewers are not liking his obsession with Hina.
Finally, his presence or absence from the game actually does not have an impact on the game itself.
