Hi gals,
I cant stand this pativrata - patni dharm nonsense. I think the CVs are cowing down to TRP pressure and making Devi an abla naari.. with all her sanskaari virtues.. ek ladki ka ghar sasural hota hai crap!

For heaven's sake! I found this show promising but I feel let down.. and feel that this show is taking the typical route.. a caricaturish mother in law ( the actor in question has only one expression and which is awful to stomach anyway), two sidekicks and the lead support in form of kesar..

I cant believe that devi has fallen in love - why coz adiraj burnt himself after wounding her? or coz he stopped his mom from raising her hand on Devi?? puhleaase gimme a break! 😡

Devi - I assure you husbands do this and more. Infact, husbands are nothing like Adiraj.. and you say you see a Ram in him! Are you kidding me! Just coz one old guy in office said Adiraj is very good, yu have taken it at that! ridiculous!

I believed Devi to be smart and rational.. here her character is being now twisted to rake in TRPs.. I guess this is my almost alvida to the show which I thought had so much promise and was different..

Alas! am to be disappointed... yet again.. by ITV!

Okay so I agree with you about the serial going the typical route. For me it's okay for some time I want to kill...and the reason I'm hardly active on the forum is because after watching it I don't really have much to say.
I too was amazed at the speed Devi fell in love with Adhiraj...even though she has yet to admit this to herself...however...If I put common sense and logic aside...and...

If I consider Devi's situation...although she dresses well...her situation is supposed to be desperate and dismal...trapped in a loveless marriage to a beast of a man who worships the ground his demonic mother walks on...sometimes her family suffers the consequences of her actions...and there is absolutely no hope of her situation getting better.

We cheer her little successes when she doesn't cower in front of her oppressors...she is clever...but in reality she is a lot of the times just putting on a brave front.

Then comes the branding...🤢...that would have been the end for me...😡...but something in Devi's mind clicked when she learned that Adhiraj branded himself too. I think that something was hope. Hope that she can have a normal life. hope that she can find happiness. Hope that the beast has a heart. Hope that he is just under the evil mother's spell...and hope that with her help they both can be free.

Hope can be a powerful thing.

So...yes...the serial can be nonsensical at time...but...it is a serial after all. You have to take things with a grain of salt, pepper, sugar and whatever else you can pile on...and know that logic will have to take a backseat.

Yes you put the words correctly, after all it is a serial they all run for TRP for their bread and butter.

Hi... yes, a viewer the disappointments have started to begin. Or should I say, I will now be losing patience, after the poison drama, because it feels that things will continue to go in round and circles. 2 steps ahead and 4 steps backwards, like any other regular show.

Devi falling for Adhiraj is not a surprise for me because I think she had always made up her mind to win him. And upon discovering that he is not as bad as he appears at surface level, she got hopes to see her forced marriage turning into a successful one. Fair enough!

I like that she is clever, witty and sensible. Being a medical-student, she is nice, empathetic and genuine, making her character unique from other sanskaari tele-bahus.

However, the show offers a very thin story-line as of now, making both Masa and Devi's character unbearable and unrealistic beyond a point. The show's scope needs to be increased for it to maintain crispness. Maybe it's time the show focuses a bit on character / plot development of Mukund - Kesar / Sharad, a little more about Rajawat's past etc.

Otherwise, the actor playing Masa has started to put me off with her OTT one-style expressions, and nothing seems to mellow that down, making her character look extremely plastic and increasingly intolerable.

Hoping that there is some positive change and a different level of progress post the poison drama.

Hi Fatima, glad that we agree on most things.. 😊 but I donot agree with @bold. I choose shows which resonate and offer something interesting.. if am actually paying the price of my time to watch a show, it better be good. Yes, I take things with a pinch of salt.. but can never ever condone abuse.. so far I gave the show some leeway coz I thought it was required for the story to progress and that Devi was not a conventional male lead... but nah! she is going down the same route..

I cant take that kind of a leap with logic or abuse.. and so will be off..
