So we find out today that Masisa is in charge of all the finances and owns everything and no doubt has her name on all the major legal belongings. Uma has been working as a doctor, revered for his dharm, genuine and honest, not at all materialistic, lives on simple basic necessities without luxury, only to have his Aunt use and steal his money for her own selfish desires. It makes me so cross! Poor Uma, he is the perfect nephew who adores Masisa, full of respect and honour for her. Obedient and caring. Decent and genuine. Generous and trusting so much so that he gives Masisa control of everything, out of respect and gratitude for her being his elder and for teaching him all his life. Masisa is willing to destroy Uma who has done more for her than her own son Aditya could ever think of because of her hatred of Kanak and things not going the way she wanted. She will punish the nephew who treats her as a son should, whilst rewarding her good for nothing son. She is biting the hand that feeds her. Masisa only adores her son Aditya, a person who treats her badly, only wants money from her, disrespectful of her, selfish to the core, yet this is the person she gives money to, wants to steal for. She doesn't bat an eyelid to his vulgar wicked and lazy ways but then is so strict that anyone living in the house should make even the smallest error which she will not go unpunished! She is every bit the hypocrite, controlling, demanding, expecting everyone to bow to her wishes in the name of dharm, whilst doing the exact opposite! The most cruel thing of all is how she treats Uma's Maasa. To everyone else, she is caring and looking after her sister, this makes everyone appreciate her, Uma especially, because we are used to seeing her at Maasa's side more than anyone. Perhaps she may have been doing something to prolong Maasa's illness? Remember there was a time when Kanak looked after Maasa for a while, alone, she cared for her so much so that Maasa was able to speak out a word it was a joyous occasion for everyone then, but suddenly Maasa was back to being speechless. It makes you think maybe she's being poisoned or something? Although we don't have the details it looks as though Masisa might have done something to cause her paralysis and this is how she can be in control of the house and Uma. I wonder what Maasa's backstory is. I wonder if Bhabho might have known her in the past? Why is she bedbound? And what has made Masisa so bitter that she hates her sister so much that she wants to take control over her sisters child and the house and to make everybody obedient to her. Why does she do this, is it purely their wealth or just greed for money for her son's free lifestyle? Is it for ego or power? Was she envious of her sister at one point? I hope we get to find out more, would be interesting to know. And dearest gullible Uma, he can see no fault in her. She is after all the person who has cared for him, looked after him because his mother couldn't and as far as we know has brought him up with the traditions and dharm that we see Uma following to the utmost. She is on the highest pedestal for him. Masisa might have had some good in her at the beginning, and hopefully she can mend her ways, maybe she will one day understand the meaning of a true son and eventually open her eyes and see it in Uma, and truly realise what scum Aditya is. I think she does still care what Uma thinks but there's always an ulterior motive with her, she gives Uma the power to do things as long as it's in her best interests. I wonder what it will take for her to realise her own mistakes and the need for herself to change and to repent at last. Kanak is trying to take the difficult path of justice that her own mother Sandhya would have done, to expose the true nature of Uma's Aunt. She is going to be fighting against betrayal and corruption, and it will be hard, because it is beyond belief for her faithful Uma to hear anything bad against his Aunt. But Kanak has her own special support - her Bhabho's love, which is what she strove for and always said it is a blessing. So with it and with Sandhya's spirit, it will help her overcome the hardships and we should see her be victorious. After all she loves Uma, and one day he will realise just how much she truly loves him, because it meant fighting for him against his own family and his own beliefs just to save him. Also Kanak said, a mamta's love is very deep. We have seen Masisa make sacrifices for her son, - now it's time for Maasa to finally get her turn to do the same. Just a quick word, I applaud the actress playing Masisa, from the start she has been one of the characters that I love to watch, at the beginning a true matriarch of the home, full of wisdom and tradition, and when the script changed for her to become negative she did so easily and it's a credit to her that we hate her character so much! 👏 |
