Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai has found its lead hero in Kinshuk Mahajan, who was last seen on Sony's Kaajal. Paired opposite Sara Khan aka Sadhna, Kinshuk plays the role of a happy-go-lucky boy in Bidaai. However, word has it that it took around three hours to shoot his entry scene in the serial.
We spoke to Kinshuk about his role and about the three-hour long shot. "Well, it didn't exactly take three hours. Actually, my entry in the serial was made complicated by the fact that the shot was a party sequence, with the song Chale Jaise Hawaien from SRK's movie Main Hoon Naa playing in the background. Hence various factors such as my lip-sync, my eyes and smile, and the feel of the song had to be synchronized. Therefore, it took some three-four takes to can the shot properly."
About the role, he says, "I play Ranvir Rajvansh, who is the son of Avinash Wadhvan and Seema Kapoor. He has just returned from America with an MBA degree under his belt. He is very likable and kind. However, his affable character undergoes a change as things go against him. This lends his character various shades. I auditioned for the serial and two days later I was informed that I have been selected for the role. I have only shot for five days now, and it feels as if the crew of Bidaai has become my family."
What made you take up the show? "The story line is interesting and the plot is full of suspense. That is what attracted me in the first place. Most importantly, it's not your typical saas-bahu show."
Kinshuk's earlier serial Kajjal was an average show but he was well accepted by the audience. The actor is confident fans will come to love Ranvir too, since he is an important character.
Well, Kinshuk… let's wait and watch.
