Chapter 52 Sheetal Out the Door!

"But what did you say Khushi? Even fool NK has become serious... I hate to admit but I was worried for my La darling..." Naniji teased La but was curious... Nani was hesitant about Lavanya initially but knowing her cultural values, she took liking her just like Khushi...

"Nothing Nani, we were just discussing about our marriage. How Arnav said it was love marriage for him and arranged marriage for me... I just told them the honest truth" Khushi was blushing and little shy...

"Yeah, you said you would have married anyone your parents chose for you and then..." Sheetal intervened...

"Oh come on Sheetal, you clearly heard what I said to conclude the discussion. Arnav had to leave but you were standing right next to me... Why are you manipulating things?" Khushi knew right there that Sheetal triggered Arnav's possessive behavior last night... The way he kept ordering drinks and Sheetal kept smirking, Khushi could reconfirm her intuition about Sheetal and connect the dots finally...

She will slowly know the detailed background... But right now she wanted to show Sheetal her place... Definitely she belongs neither in RM, nor in their personal lives!

"Nothing much Naniji... I said given a chance, I will follow the same path of arranged marriage without a flinch knowing it will make my parents and you so happy... And then Devi Mayya wrote Arnav, a real man in my destiny who honors, loves, respects and cares for me... When the first time I met him, I never knew he would be this important to me... Today he is the love of my life, means the world to me... You all look at him as the ASR, business tycoon hot and what not... But my Arnav is even better, I can't share anything about him though because I am so possessive... All I can say is the world is not always perfect, we are still discovering each other out but our time together always seems perfect... I love him like crazy and he too is equally crazy for me. That's all that matters... Our love is way above our personal status or tall achievements he has..." Khushi repeated what she said and everyone clapped for her...

She was so shy and she ran to the kitchen...

Shock was an understatement for Arnav... No wonder all others were inspired by her story overnight...

"I never had doubts about Khushi being the perfect and best choice for my Chote... But Khushi has proved it again and again... Chote what do you have to say about your wife?" Naniji teased her grandson... She was always confident about Khushi to handle her grandson well even though Khushi is just 20 years old...

"What can I say Nani? You are the best Nani in the world and you got me the best girl... I am not sure I am worthy of her but I will try to be... I have no idea how she manages to love me?" Arnav accepted it openly...

"Even we have no idea how she manages to love you duffer... After what you make her go through..." La said and everyone hi-fied... Arnav protested and then laughed it off...

He needed to escape from there and find his wife...

Sheetal also saw ASR head over heels in love with his wife and she has tough task to barge in... And already this Aman is pushing her out the door... She has to re-plan, she knew...

"Sheetal, let's go" Aman needed to leave for home... Not that he cared for Sheetal, but he wanted to make sure she is out of his friend's life...

"Aman, focus on the report on her... And a report about her personal affairs and that kid as well... Should be on my table tomorrow or you are fired..." ASR ordered speaking to his employee...

"I no longer want to work for you... I might as well take up the job offered by Khushi... Arrogant and dumb ASR..." Spat came a reply from Aman...

"Watch your words Aman, I haven't fired you yet... And why would Khushi offer you a job?" Arnav warned him but curious...

"Keep this behavior at work, here I am your friend unfortunately... I know you can't fire me anywhere and you will get the report on your table tomorrow. By the way Khushi hasn't offered me any job but she would... She appreciates how smart and loyal I am unlike you idiot..." Aman winked at him...

"What the?" Before Arnav could say anything further, Aman ran out... Arnav was used to Aman taking revenges outside office... They were buddies from school...

Sheetal reluctantly walked out of RM... Sheetal was pissed off with how ASR never bothered to say bye or even talked to Aarav for that matter...

"Sir, the house needs to be cleaned yet... I told you... So maybe it's better if you can come back tomorrow..." Security guard informed Aman...

"Aman, if the house was not yet cleaned, I could have stayed back at RM. Why did you get me here? Now drop me back to RM again..." Sheetal was angry...

"Sheetal, you are talking as if Raizada Mansion is your own house... I will book you a hotel nearby for one night. Didn't you see how reluctant everyone was in RM to have you as guest? ASR simply denied him inviting you over at RM to stay... Are you crazy to go back there? They already have their family visiting... Leave them alone... And have some self-respect, lady..." Aman was shocked at her audacity but told her exactly what she needed to hear and drove her to nearby hotel...

"I called and booked a room for one night in the name of Sheetal Kapoor" Aman asked at the counter and let Sheetal step forward...

Aman vanished from there by saying bye while she was still checking room details... Sheetal was forced to pay for the room rent and was completely pissed off...

"I will teach Aman a lesson tomorrow... Why do I feel it was Khushi who asked Aman to look for an apartment or somehow get me out of RM? She was always texting and looking at her phone... I will not leave her too..." Sheetal promised herself...

After lavish late lunch, everyone took off to their own rooms...

Arnav waited for Khushi to come back in the room... He was remembering what conspired last night because he never heard what Khushi had to say about their marriage... Or rather Sheetal had heard it but she purposely triggered him knowing he never heard Khushi... What a fool he turned out to be?

He was being so possessive and crazy, did he hurt his Khushi? The thought made him shiver...

"What the? Thank god, Sheetal didn't get chance to stay in RM... And I will make sure not to hire her ever again... Last time also all lies, email chains and frauds pointed to Sheetal... He almost lost a huge contract if he and Aman were not cunning and made last minute changes in the tender to win it... It was a mutual decision then that only ASR and Aman will know the final numbers and loyalty of Aman was never in doubt... That decision shaped AR Designs and took the company to sky heights of success... Arnav remembered how Sheetal was at the center of cheating and leaking information to rivals and how she had backstabbed him...

"Sheetal resigned back then and made it a big issue to avoid confrontation... But she manipulated things just like she did between me and Khushi... One proof and she is out of our lives for good... And I must see detailed reports on her, what was she up to all these years" Arnav was clear in his thinking...

"Kamala Maasi, this is Naniji's room, come..." Khushi took Kamala Maasi to meet Nani. Arnav saw Khushi busy with Nani...

"How are you Kamala?" She was Nani's friend from temple. Much younger lady in her late 50's but always talked to Nani and is very friendly.

"Nani, she used to do massages for living. So I thought it will help you plus you will get to meet your friend daily... Kamala Maasi here also needs a job" Khushi informed Nani...

Khushi served Nani her protein shake while she was busy talking and she drank it first time without complaining. Routine was set. Every day Kamala Maasi will be there in RM 4-6 pm with Nani. Everyone could see an immediate difference in Nani when she has a friend visiting her...

"Khushi where are you? Need my coffee..." Arnav called out for her...

"I am busy with Nani... Can you please ask HP?" Khushi asked him with pretty much a poker face without giving insights of what she is thinking...

"She is still mad at me..." Arnav thought it would be easy to talk to her pool side...

"Khushi, can we go out for dinner?" Arnav asked her holding her hand and forcing her to sit next to him...

"No Arnav, as is we had heavy lunch... Plus Di and Jiju are here for few more days. So let's spend time with them..." Khushi replied...

"Ok, as you say. So what have you decided? Should we start on your own restaurants or you want to wait?" Arnav was trying hard to converse with her...

"Arnav I am not yet sure... Maybe I prefer to work at Oberoi for another year while slowly coming up with ideas as to what type of restaurants I want to open up... I have two choices, thanks to you... Plus I have invitation to judge or host the new TV show "Food Champs which I might take up... I prefer hosting since I love hands on involvement in food preparations... Though I am still thinking about it... And I want to manage my time well and not overdo things..." Khushi was thinking about how hectic her life is going to be once she starts her routine from next week...

"Oh, I see... So my wife wants to be a TV face now that she is so popular..." Arnav teased her...

"Nothing like that... Let's see. Oberoi will be fun too to cook with all my friends... I plan to join next Thursday... Plus BK offered me partnership if I am interested..." Khushi looked excited...

"So what did you say to him? Did you accept the offer?" Arnav asked curiously...

"Nothing yet... But I want to carve my own niche... We both have different choices. He wants to specialize in sweets and I am keen to have my own signature restaurants... So let us see..." Khushi replied to him...

"Khushi would you mind me asking something? Arnav asked her to sit with him...

"Why didn't you say yes to BK, I mean he is highly educated, so good looking...? Even better than me..." Arnav asked her genuinely...

"Can anyone ever look better than you, like seriously Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada? You just like to hear about yourself, isn't it?" Khushi joked...

"I told you... I always wanted to marry someone my parents choose" Khushi replied.

"Is that the only thing?" Arnav was curious...

"My best friend Prito had love marriage last year and both families were not able to accept the marriage... They both faced so many problems. Prito had hard time adjusting at her in law's place and came back home after just 2 months... Her sister's marriage took place a couple of months before and her parents could not afford another daughter's marriage so quickly... It was very stressful period for them and her father got a heart attack during that time... Things are ok now and Prito and her husband reconciled but Prito's mom always shared her worries with Amma... Amma and Baoji felt Prito could have taken a wiser decision and involved families early or respect parents' wishes also... She could have waited for another year and not burden her parents with another marriage expenses..." Khushi told him the history behind her choice...

"Since Amma has heart problem, I never wanted to stress her out or snatch their right to choose my life partner... And I really wanted to work and earn some money before marriage" Khushi concluded...

"And BK was never serious... So don't worry about him... BK, Natasha and I are besties... Every time Natasha dated someone, he came crying to me, wanted me as his date and he even went on to propose me twice... No doubt, he loves me more as his best friend and neighbor but he was confused I guess... We had a long talk before I said yes to marry you..." Khushi gave him insight...

"Really?" Arnav was surprised how Khushi considered everyone's feelings before taking decisions...

"Yes, I informed him when my parents decided to call Naniji to inform her about their acceptance to marriage proposal... BK teased me about how I had explained about my first impressions about you... I had told him that Naniji's grandson is very good looking and stylish..." Khushi remembered how BK was happy for her...

"BK visited temple many times and knew Naniji back then... Naniji also knew BK as my friend... She asked me couple of times whether we were just friends or dating before she came up with your marriage proposal..." Khushi knew Nani would not want to break her relationship just for her grandson...

"And guess what? Natasha went for further studies in Mumbai University... She is doing event management and is your diehard fan... She really knows everything about you..." Khushi laughed remembering how BK explained Natasha's reaction when she got to know Khushi married the mighty Arnav Singh Raizada...

"Are you kidding me? I am no film star... What BK has to say about it?" Arnav just shrugged it off...

"He begs me not to introduce her to you while she begs me to introduce her..." Khushi smiled.

"Really funny..." Arnav did not know what else to say...

"What is so funny...? You are talking as if you don't know how strong fan following you have especially young girls and women..." Khushi knew how famous and popular her husband is...

"But looks like I really got really lucky then... Any BK, NK or Ankit could not grab any attention from my wife... In spite of all my shortcomings, you love me..." He looked into her eyes...

"Shut up Arnav, we all have our behavioral traits... You have yours and I have mine... It makes us who we are... And I am equally lucky to have you in my life... After all the mighty Arnav Singh Raizada is my husband and loves me like crazy..." She really knows how lucky she is...

"Are you still angry Khushi?" Arnav pulled her closer and pecked her...

"No Arnav, I am not... I was just a little disappointed" She couldn't hide her true feelings either...

"I am so sorry Khushi... I never knew Sheetal could take advantage of situation like that" He genuinely apologized.

"It's ok Arnav, maybe we should be more careful in future... I take the blame about my overly honest talks about our marriage... I guess world does not need to know..." Khushi rested her head on his shoulder thinking hopefully Arnav pushes her out of AR too...

"No Khushi, please don't blame yourself... I did not hear you out and behaved very judgmental and rash..." Arnav also accepted his mistake... He kept patting her head and kissed her forehead... Khushi wanted to ask Arnav about what Sheetal hinted about that kid...

But just then they heard Sonia crying and being so cranky... Di's doubt was right... Sonia has fever and she was very uneasy... They decided to take it easy and be at home...

"Di, you don't worry. I will take care of Nani tonight... I will be with her and you take care of our angel..." Khushi made Anjali relaxed...

"I will call Savita aunty" Arnav announced...

"Yeah, she will be big help..." Khushi immediately agreed. Arnav was surprised Khushi knew her...

Arnav made sure to call Savita aunty, HP's aunt who is a nurse for additional help.

Sheetal Is out finally but she has not stopped plotting... I'm glad aman left her in some hotel than back in RM..

Loved it .. I love that they talked in the end and cleared any doubts and I hope khushi can talk to Arnav about the kid as well ..Sheetal is not out of their life fully yet
