Whoa! Shin Chan BEATS Kumkum Bhagya to become the most searched TV show on Yahoo this year

It's that time of the year when we get to see the top trends of the year. Yahoo released its list of the most searched TV shows and it's a huge shocker. You'd think that a lot of daily soaps on television will top the list but no. The list has more cartoon shows than daily soaps. Bigg Boss 11 tops the list followed by Shin Chan. That's right, Shin Chan is one of the most searched show on Yahoo. Kumkum Bhagya, which tops the BARC list every week is on the ninth position on this list. Kumkum Bhagya got beaten by Shin Chan, Tom and Jerry, Motu Patlu and even Mr Bean.

We're not so surprised with Bigg Boss 11 taking the number one spot but we are surprised with Shin Chan making it to the second place on the list. Looks like Shin Chan's antics are much better than Abhi Pragya's romance. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma took up the third place with Game of Thrones on the fourth spot. Tom and Jerry became the fifth most search TV show on Yahoo followed by Motu Patlu, Peppa Pig, Mr Bean, Kumkum Bhagya and Baalveer. But KKB fans outta be glad that the show is among some of the best entertainers on the list.

Bigg Boss 11

This season of Salman Khan's show seems to be more talked about and bigger than the previous season. It is, without a doubt, one of the most controversial seasons and has every TV celeb talking about it.

Shin Chan

Shin Chan is personally one of my favourite cartoons and also one show that parents would not recommend. But it still managed to beat all the other cartoon shows and our daily soaps to become the second most searched this year.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma

TMKOC was in the news for more than just its episodes this year. The show was surrounded by quite a few controversies and our favourite character, Dayaben aka Disha Vakani went on a maternity leave (she delivered a baby girl yesterday) and it also made made sure it had a spot in the top 10 shows on BARC every week. So it's not surprising to see TMKOC as one of the most searched shows.

Game Of Thrones

GoT season 7 released this year and it was everything fans could talk about on the internet. Spoiler-free reviews, reviews with spoilers, W*F reactions and fan theories about the heir of the throne, these and memes were trending on the internet even after the season finale.

Tom and Jerry

Whoever said 90's cartoons are dying need to check this list! Tom & Jerry is the fifth most searched show on Yahoo this year. The audience will never get tired of this cat and mouse chase show ever.

Motu Patlu

I'm honestly a little surprised that Motu Patlu beat Chota Bheem on the web. But that's all kids can talk about and love watching.

Peppa Pig

Peppa Pig is a very sweet cartoon show and helps kids learn something new every day. The show even has good reviews on the internet.

Mr Bean

Rowan Atkinson is fabulous as Mr Bean and one of our favourite comic characters on television. Looks like the audience agrees, too.

Kumkum Bhagya

After a bunch of comic shows, cartoon shows and fantasy shows, Kumkum Bhagya is a bit of a surprise. But Abhi and Pragya cannot beat Shin Chan to become the audience's favourite.

Baalveer

Baalveer airs on Sony SAB and often peeps in and out of the BARC list but we never expected it to be one of the top 10 most searched shows on the web.

We still can't get over Shin Chan beating Kumkum Bhagya on the list. Makes us want to sit and watch another episode of the cartoon show. It has been running on television longer than Kumkum Bhagya which kind of explains why it's on top. Which one of these shows do you love the most? Or is your favourite show not on this list at all?
