Chapter 26

At 3am in the morning

Jalal's Office

Jodha cover her eyes with her hands due to the light from the lamps. She opens her eyes a little to adjust to the light. Finally she open her eyes fully and looks at her and Jalal's position where she is lying on Jalal's chest and his hand is around her shoulder.

Jodha look at Jalal's face which is so close to her. It has been so long that she has been so close to Jalal where Jalal has his hands around her shoulder protecting her.

Jalal who is also sleeping peacefully with Jodha in her arms slowly open his eyes due to disturbance due to light and look at Jodha in his arms looking at him.

Jodha who feels his eyes on her, blush a little and move in his arms to come out from it. Jalal who see her struggle loosen his arms around and shyly look at other side will smiling brightly.

Jalal: I think now the power is back. We should be going before we face power cut again.

Saying this he stand on his feet and give his hand to Jodha to help her in standing on her feet again. Jodha take his hands and stand while holding her hand bag. Jalal quickly open the look of room and take a sign of relief.

Without saying a word both Jodha and Jalal move out of the office rewinding the happenings in this office a few hours ago. Jalal touch his lips blushing and remember how he had kissed her and how both were embarrass after the small encounter.

Jalal: I think you don't need to come office early tomorrow. Today was busy day for both of us. You can have your sweet sleep and could come to office a little late. (Saying this Jalal picks up his speed and both Jodha and Jalal move toward parking lot then toward their home.)

Both Jodha and Jalal sneak in their house silently just like a couple who were out of their houses to meet each other hiding from their families before marriage. 😆

Next Day Morning

Jalal wake up with extra energy thinking of the last night scenes, their kiss. he moves toward his gym to workout. He is waiting for lunch with her so he wants to do more work out so her extra oily food doesn't affect his healthy diet.

After two hours workout, Jalal headed toward shower and get ready office and move toward kitchen to get shock of his life.

Mirza is preparing breakfast for both of them.

Jalal (moving toward Mirza teasingly): What happen to the sleeping beauty? How come he is up so early and cocking breakfast? I think today someone want to kill me with his cooking skill.

Mirza (showing specula in direction of Jalal): stop teasing me Bhai. You should feel lucky that today Mirza the great is cooking food for you. In college days girls used to die for food from my hands. You will keep licking your finger after tasting Mirza special Pasta (and he again focuses on his pasta which is nearly cooked.)

Jalal: I think I should be worried. Now tell me what my brother wants (and he places his arm around his shoulder) I know you want something in return for cooking breakfast for me.

Mirza (switching of gas and filling plates with Pasta): It's nothing like that. I just want to enjoy boy's time with you.

Jalal (raising a brow): Boys time. Spill the beans out Mirza.

Mirza (closing his eyes and in one breath): I love someone Bhai and I want you to meet her and her parents about my marriage with her before Mrs. Khan come back. (After saying all this he takes a deep breath and opens his eyes to look at Jalal who is standing in shock position.)

Mirza (scared): you will talk with her?

Jalal (still in shock): who is she?

Mirza: she is...

Tiring!! Tiring!!

Jalal's phone ring with Hamida on other side. Mirza roll his eyes seeing her name and set the breakfast table while Jalal pick up the phone.

Phone call where J- Jalal, H- Hamida

J- Mom, you are calling so early in the morning. Is everything all right?

H- Yes Jalal beta everything is alright. I just remember something and call you before I forget the thing.

J- What's matter Mom? (And take his seat on dining table)

H- Nothing to worry Jalal. It's just that Khan industry's 30^th anniversary is on next Saturday and you remember that your father used to throw a lavish party in our Goa beach house after every 5 year and this year it completely slipped out of my mind.

J- Oh God, It also slipped out of my mind. You just don't worry. Today only I will look for some good event planner and arrange for the party. So when are you coming back?

H- I don't think Jalal I will be back anytime soon. I think you and Mirza have to host the party as Bakshi is really getting hyper and I don't want to leave her here alone in her exams.

J- Ok mom, you take care of Bakshi and I will take care of party.

Bidding each other good buys. Both cut the call and Jalal tell Mirza about the Goa party which complexly slip out of their minds.

Mirza (Excited): oh god Bhai, you remember how we used to have fun before party. Dad used to take us all to Goa three days before party and how we used to enjoy the various water rides. It will be fun.

Jalal: But I don't think this time we will go 3 days early as now we don't have this much time.

Mirza: Whom you are kidding Bhai. I know you are all free as most of your important meeting is already handle. Moreover we will leave Abdul Bhai here only and can enjoy our time in Goa. Moreover you need a break and what can be cooler than Goa's beach and water rides.

Jalal (finishing his breakfast): We will think about it later. First we need an event manager for the party. I want it lavish like always.

Mirza (finishing his plate): Leave it on me Bhai. I know the best event manager who will handle the party. There is one more thing Bhai.

Jalal (rolling his eyes): Now what?

Mirza: Bhai who...we office people have decided to go to disc tonight to have some fun after this hectic weekend. Moreover today is Friday and next two days are break so we just want some fun.

Jalal: you can go Mirza.

Mirza: what, I can go. I will go for sure. I am just asking you to come with me.

Jalal: I am not coming with you Mirza.

Mirza: we will see and you will come. (Saying this in confidence Mirza move in front of Jalal toward parking lot.)

Both Mirza and Jalal enter on his office floor at same time and Mirza who see Jodha talking with Abdul about file gives her a friendly hug unknown to the fact that a soul is burning seeing all this. The morning confession is continuously revolving around Jalal's mind from the time he has sit in the car and now seeing Mirza hugging Jodha, he is sure that Jodha is the girl.

Giving them a small glare Jalal move to his cabin in sour mood. Today he hasn't even brought flowers and chocolates for Jodha as he was not feeling good.

On other side Jodha is on cloud nine since morning remembering their last night kiss which has made her again hopeful that Jalal is still hers and he love her and crave for her the way she crave for him. Jodha smile to him but he move away without a smile. She ignores his behavior and move to her cabin expecting flowers and chocolates but get disappointed on not finding one.

Before the lunch time Abdul call her in Jalal's cabin and she move to his cabin expecting a sweet smile from him or at least an acknowledgment but again she get disappointment as Jalal royally ignore her.

Jodha (thinking sadly): Is he avoiding me due to what happen last night? Or he is angry on me for some reason.

Before she can continue her thinking section Abdul ask her to take her seat on sofa opposite to Jalal where Mirza is already seated. Jalal glare at them who are unaware of his plea and whispering to each other.

Jalal (still looking at them in anger): Tell me Abdul. What's the matter that you call us all here?

Abdul (Taking file from his P.A while his hands brush with her hand): The construction of xyz Hotel has suddenly come to a halt as workers are not satisfied with the project head.

Jodha (whispering in Mirza's ear): Do you see what I just see?

Mirza (confused): What?

Jodha: the way Abdul Bhai is around his P.A. Salima (new character [: P])

Mirza: atlas you noticed. Salima was appointed as Abdul's P.A. when we were in London and from that time Abdul is all smitten to her. This touchy thing is common in between them.

Jodha: But I was... (But is cut by Jalal who has already shouted)

Jalal (shouting): Stop talking like kindergarten student. Its meeting going on not a picnic (saying this Jalal again focus on matter in hand.)

Jalal (to Abdul): Alright I will visit the site on Sunday and will look in this problem moreover it's long that anyone of us has visited there to look at the progress.

Abdul (after thinking): I think you should take Jodha with you. It will be good if you have someone to give you report.

Thinking of spending time with Jalal on Sunday all alone Jodha do a mini dance in her heart but before she can make any more dream Jalal splash water on her.

Jalal: no need Abdul. I will go all alone there. MISS (forcing on Miss) Jodha will feel bored there. Moreover she must have some SPECIAL friend with whom she wants to spend time.

Jodha feel sad with the way he just talked with her but hide it with a small smile.

At lunch time all are again at Jodha's office but Jalal is not where as he has decline to have lunch with them. Jodha felt extremely bad with his ignoring behavior and Abdul, Mirza also notice this but keep their mouth shut as they don't want to push her more.

They all have lunch silently when Mirza see Jalal coming toward Jodha's cabin and try his trick to make him Jealous.

Mirza (quickly holding Jodha's hand): hey why are you sad Jojo? It's good that you get your Sunday free. You know Bhai was right the project site is so boring and would get bored in one hour drive.

Mirza action Jodha with his eyes that now Jalal is standing at her cabin door and is listening their talks so Jodha also join him in his act.

Jodha: you are right Mirza. Why should I waste my Sunday on some boring site visit?

Mirza: instead of site we can visit the new restaurant cum fair which is open in outskirt of the city. It will be fun.

Jodha (excited): Oh really. It will be fun. I really want to go there from so long. I have heard so much about. You know I...

But stop due to loud voice of closing of her cabin's door and all look at direction of Jalal's office in shock as they expected that Jalal will be jealous and will ask Jodha to come with him but here he goes hell angry. Abdul who feel weird due to this behavior of his buddy excused himself and enter Jalal's office and place his hand on Jalal's shoulder who has his back toward him.

Abdul: what happened Buddy? I thought you will be happy that Jodha will go to site with you but here you decline the golden chance to know her.

Jalal hug Abdul tightly.

Abdul get scared with sudden change in Jalal behavior and hug him back to give Jalal some comfort.

Abdul: now tell me what Happen?

Jalal (cracked voice): Mirza loves someone and I think she is Jodha. I think Jodha also loves him back. Have you seen how they talk with each other more like a friend?

Abdul (cursed Mirza under his breath then continue): It's nothing like that Jalal. You know Mirza, he can't settle for a girl. May be he is kidding with you. You know him well.

Jalal: but...

Abdul: no buts...Dont spoil your image in front of Jodha by ignoring her this way. You want to make your way toward her heart. I don't want her to kick your ass the day you propose her.

Jalal: But...

Abdul: and about Mirza I will ask him if he loves Jodha or not. Now be a good boy and ask Jodha to accompany you to the site. Moreover you can try to know more about Jodha in night at disc. I hope you will come with us to the disc.

Jalal (rubbing his back): Now I think I am school boy being getting scolded by my teacher.

Abdul burst hearing his remark but Jalal don't even smile thinking of possibility being Jodha and Mirza in love.

Abdul enter Jodha's cabin and pull Mirza by his collar and take him toward his office. Here Mirza was to act as cupid between Jodha and Jalal but he is creating misunderstanding between them.

Abdul push Mirza on a chair in his cabin and told everything to him.

Mirza (extra shocked): what... But I was mentioning about Shivani. She is back to India and her family is behind her to get married so I decided to ask Bhai about it.

Abdul: but he thinks its Jodha and due to that only he is ignoring her that badly.

Mirza (standing from his chair): Don't worry bro soon Shivani will be here in the office and everything will be solved.

Abdul (shocked): what will be she doing in office?

Mirza (coolly): I wanted her to meet and impress Bhai personally. You see I am all eager to get married with her.

Abdul (rolling his eyes): You will never change.

Jalal is looking at a file when Mirza enter his office with a girl in office attire looking at Jalal nervously. Jalal gives confuse expressions to Mirza.

Mirza (happily holding Shivani's hand): Bhai meet Shivani the girl for whom your Bro has fallen so badly. (Listening him blush crept on Shivani's cheeks and a huge relief on Jalal's face.)

Mirza: she is one about whom I was talking in the morning and I want you to talk with her parents about my marriage.

Jalal chided himself for thinking that Mirza loves Jodha when he has mention that she is not his type. He feels like a jerk for behaving rudely with her. What must be she thinking about him when they have shared a kiss last night only. He just wants to vanish from front of Jodha out of embareesemrnt.

Mirza: Bhai...You know Shivu also work in Event Company and she is best in it so I was planning that what if she arranges the Goa party.

Jalal who is in no mood to talk about this dismiss him.

Jalal: Goa party is your responsibility and you can appoint anyone as planner. If you trust Shivani this much then tell her about what we expect from her. I want the invitation to be send by Wednesday and all other responsibility as I know you are good in throwing parties.

As soon as Mirza moves out of the office Jalal call Jodha and order her that she will be coming with her on Sunday. Jodha feel weird with his sudden change of behavior but ignore it while concentrating on her work. On other side Jalal knew that he has hurt Jodha and is planning to make up his mistake in the night at disc.
