TNNA still from the show 'Waaris'
For her, the TV show 'Waaris' was a major turning point in her career. Arti Singh, who was restricted to playing bhabhi and behen on TV before, emerged as an actress, who could pull off a show on her shoulders. However, the latest news is that the show is all set to bid adieu to its viewers owing to low ratings. We hear that the last episode will be telecast on December 1. The show, which was launched in May 2016, went in for a time-leap of 10 years in February this year. Farnaz Shetty took over from child artiste Sania Touqueer to play the grown-up Manu.
A rather upset Arti tells us, "This development has come as a jolt to everyone associated with the show. There has been buzz of the show going off air, but I am shocked to learn that it's happening so soon. I am extremely upset. Travelling to Vasai every day for the shoot was a torture, but this show kept me going."
'Waaris' also features Neel Motwani as the male lead. It was on the set of the show that Farnaz and Neel met and fell in love.
