Padmavati is going through a lot of issues
much before its release. In fact, trouble
started brewing from the shoot itself.
Remember the time when the sets were
demolished and Sanjay Leela Bhansali was
attacked? Yes, the film was victimised for
something they imagined. Recently, we told
you how the Karni Sena was against
releasing the movie in Rajasthan but now
the Home Minister of the state has assured
that the release of the film will not be
jeopardised. However, he did mention that
sentiments of the community will also be
taken into account.

This definitely comes as a huge relief for the
makers after the content of the film created
tension in the state. There were reports that
Ranveer Singh, who plays Khilji, and Deepika
Padukone, who plays Padmavati, have a
dream sequence in the film. That blew the
lid off! So without verifying facts, Karni Sena
began their revolution against people
concerned with the film. Fortunately now,
with HM's assurance the film might see the

IANS had reported yesterday that a
descendant of a Mewar Royal family has also
taken objection to the film. Quoting Baijiraj
Trivikrama Kumari Jamwal, daughter of
Mahendra Singh Mewar the 76th
Maharana of the Mewar dynasty and a
former Lok Sabha member, the report said,
"The sad part is that the film is getting free
pre-release publicity, and that a commercial
and inauthentic venture like this is using my
family's name. It's not just a question of
incorrect portrayal, which is established
from the trailer and the Ghoomar' song
itself, but also the fact that you're using my
family's name for the commercial pre-release
publicity of your film, free of cost... And the
national media is talking about it. That's my
problem.
