When the show began, I had a lot of liking for this character Baldev Singh. I thought he too was a victim of the evil politics of Lal Mahal, a man trapped in an arranged marriage with a woman who had absolutely nothing in common with him .But now it appears that he is a worse politician than Satrupa, an absolutely cold blooded villain, who watches his own flesh and blood, his son being beaten up, without batting an eyelid. In fact, from the way he looked (kudos to Ajay Chowdhury's acting here) firmly the other way while Narottam was physically, I even suspect his passive encouragement in this act of domestic violence. If I am not mistaken, while being beaten up, Narottam keeps on pleading with Pujan and Avdoot, but never once does he appeal to Baldev to save him or not to punish him. Sort of reminds me of a dialogue by Rafia to Murtaza about Kashaf in a famous Zindagi serial, Zindagi Gulzar Hai---"Unhe pata hain ke musibat ke waqt unke baap unke kaam nehi ane wale."

Sorry but i strongly believe that (especially after the scene you have mentioned) Narottam is not son of baldev. Everybody is telling like that because of their deal with sudha.

Even satrupa felt very angry when Narottam called her choti ma because she knows the truth that he is not son of baldev.

I have a feeling that Baldev is framed with somebody's murder charge and to escape from that LM people made a deal with sudha. So don't get disappointed, let us just wait and watch.

Yes he is...Anami,Baldev n narottam were the characters I was rooting in the beginning... When they turned narottam negative I was disappointed but I couldn't blame narottam for turning like that..But Baldev is my biggest disappointment...I detest him so much since the last episode were he was shown cooperating with poojan in the brutal physical torture of his own blood without battling an eye.😡🤢

I don't know yaar but I even don't understand
The whole LM who believe on blood relationship why they hate vatsalya
For some reason I can understand dadaji because he was even ignorant to anami but you can see later he started to soften toward her even
Baldev who has loved vatsalya more than anything even you can see love for anami but he don't want to open it as he knows anami will never accept him
He has accepted her as daughter firstly when she was doing bookh hartal and fainted I feel he was the only one to bring her and even not wanted satrupa to keep anami here as he knew that there would be some harm even today when she was about to fall with mufti he was the one to come and hold his daughter first
The way he was seeing anami during Aarti with happiness
It all suggest that he love his both children but for narottam there is not a slight love
I don't feel Gayatri hatred for narottam who is her blood only stem from him being illegitimate or anything
Gayatri don't took a second to accept anami
So I even feel there is more to meet what we are shown
I don't know if it is possible but even it is truth what they are doing with narottam is totally inhumane because narottam was just a child when he first came and a child can't do anything
my theory
Maybe baldev somehow killed narottam real father or he was framed by pursottam and shudha and they are having some solid proof of his crime and was blackmailed to accept narottam as his son but Gayatri somehow came to knew this and dadaji is even unaware of it even now or he even came to knew afterward and they married baldev to shudha in hurry somehow so that he get saved
Because yesterday you can see how softly satrupa mentioned that insaaf hoga baldev lekin iss tarah kamzor pe hath utha me Nahin it shows that there is something which even satrupa feel baldev was wronged
Because whatever they have shown of Singh family be it dada dadi sattu Bally all are really loving but don't know what was past or history as baldev has done wrong with dheeru and in past he seem very brat
But I feel truth is very deep which is beyond our understanding or could be khoda pahar nikli chuhiya
but whatever we have seen till now of baldev he very much love his wife and both children although he not shows love for anami but some incident open his feeling so i couldn't understand why so much cold heartedness for narottam anyway lets see what the history is but for now we have to see satrupa going to jail for vatsalya murder case due to dumb anami

I even feel there is very deep relationship of shudha with LAL Mahal
Because it was really not hard for them to kill both both or only narottam but they can't do so why we have to see
Anyway I have stopped expecting logic as how they have shown so much loopholes and blooper

We're almost 80 episodes in and there is no development in baldev what so ever. I've always believed him to be spinless and useless but still can't help feel utter disgust.

Baldev as a whole doesn't have a role in the story. His like the Jessica of this show. You know the Jessica from no killed jessica. Who's only present in name. And that's it.

Exactly. He stands like some good looking statue from a wax museum.And even the Lal Mahal family sees him in that way. For his parents he is simply an heir-producing machine. Only at times he brings out a gun and threatens to shoot people. And he can't get along with people who have a spine, Dhiru and Anami for example. I doubt he has guts to commit a murder.He can only frame people in false cases and back stab them and trap innocent girls with false promises of marriage and his good looks. Sudha is lucky she didn't get married to such a weak creature.She is, after all, a strong willed woman.

Narottam is the living proof of Baldev's mistake. It is because of his presence that Baldev lost being heir of Vikram, boss of Royal Steel and estranged to his parents. His life would have been different if Narottam did not live. So of course he hates him. Just because someone is not plotting and planning all the time like Pujan does not mean they are nice. People like Baldev are the scary ones. They have lost a lot which was their Haq because of a mistake. They will never realize their mistake but blame others. They will also not dirty their hands, but use people like Pujan and Avdoot to do their dirty business.

Pujan and Avdoot are better people. Baldev is the scary one. People like these do exist. Wear elegant clothes, well spoken, educated. sophisticated. We run away from people like Pujan but Baldev attracts people. But he is all black and full of resentment inside though he looks nice outside.
