Ranveer Singh to kickstart Padmavati promotions soon.

Deepika Padukone has already started
promoting her upcoming movie Padmavati.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it also
stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in
lead roles. Earlier, it was reported that
Ranveer won't be promoting the movie so
as to avoid fanning negativity. However, a
leading tabloid reported that the talented
actor will soon start promoting Padmavati.
A source told the tabloid, "The makers didn't
want to promotions to be overshadowed by
the hard-liners' hatred towards Alauddin
Khilji. So, it was decided that Ranveer would
only promote the movie after it hits screens.
But the marketing team has changed its
decision now."
Singh will start with Padmavati promotions
from November 12. A source close to the
actor said, "He will travel to London and Los
Angeles, and return in a couple of days. He
starts promoting the film from November
12 and with a cinema summit. He will talk
about his character for the first time."
The movie has been facing flak from a lot of
people and mainly the Rajput Karni Sena in
Rajasthan. According to the reports, the
distributors of Padmavati has decided that
they will not release the movie in Rajasthan.
Ranveer was recently asked about the
threats the movie is receiving and also the
vandalisation of sets by people earlier. The
actor answered, "I do have strong opinions
on this subject, which I wish to express. But
I've been requested by the team to not voice
it to avoid further hurdles. I channelled the
angst into my performance. These are issues
none of us anticipated. It's unfortunate."
Padmavati is slated to release on December
1, 2017.
