Hola Amigos!

A Warm welcome to you all to Likhavat-3!

You all know much by now...How Likhavat came into being, Sara and Zoyabeing the root cause of it, establishing it and presenting a huge platform for all the writers out there to mingle here and express their talents, imaginations and creativities in such a beautiful manner masking their identities behind their stories. Not just that but also getting some newbies to mingle and try their hands at writing for the very first time. Wasn't it a good Initiative? ...Hell YES! It was! And we all thank both of them whole heartily for the commencement of Likhavat!

After the tremendous success of Likhavat-1, came into being was Likhavat-2. The just born baby of Sara and Zoya was handed over to our two beloved members...Nik and Saleha! They both nurtured it wisely and took its success to top notches. Their devotion and hard work lead them to a colossal accomplishment with much more participants, readers and voters that time. No doubt they did everything to make it a huge triumph! Thanks a lot guys for putting so much efforts and fostering this baby Likhavat judiciously!

And now...The legacy, the cute little baby has been handed over to two naughty members of this forum. (Abhi are you naughty? Well I am...a big one!)... Abhi and Sunain(me)! Nik and Sal entrusted us enough to hand over their precious baby to us and we both feel honored and privileged to be handed over such a huge responsibility and being trusted to carry on the custom wisely just the way the former four did. Thanks a lot all four of you for supporting us and guiding us. Without you all we couldn't have had crossed the bridge easily. We both just followed your steps and look where we have landed...Here...

This Likhavat will be the same as others but with slightest changes. Few you'll know now. Few you'll know during the competition and few you'll get to know in the main event! This time it's going to be a hell of a mega event hopefully! Because this time around we won't just be advertising Likhavat' here or on Wattpad...but on Twitter as well!

We expect to get as much support from you guys as much possible! We would like to invite all the writers and the shy-bies who happened to be little introvert with trying their hand at writing to come and be a part of this wonderful contest! It's a huge opportunity for all of you out there to mingle here and express your talent to all of us in mere words...words making up a whole story...story which will be your identity! Trust me on this...being recognized and appreciated by not being who you are but by your story speaking for you gives an immense pleasure. So please step forward and join in with Likhavat! We guarantee you full fledge Entertainment and Pleasure! So please don't just be a reader but a writer too. Make us all the lucky ones to be the readers of your creative imaginations. Make yourself feel at home because this place is full of beautiful souls who are too friendly and our happiness booster.

So uniting the above three elements we present you this season's Likhavat's Theme...which is...

We hope you liked the theme! Now get ready guys for the mascaraed party to begin and get hold of your pens, laptops and stuff and start wiggling your fingers and racing your beautiful brains with ShraMan stories! We expect you all to not just read but participate as well. We'll be more than pleased to get lots and lots of entries.

And the Winners of Theme guessing contest are announced just after rules and regulations post! Please just a little more patience.

Further rules and regulations are enlisted below...All the writers must have a look at them and must Obliged to them. Prohibition or Violation of any of the rules will lead to your disqualification. We don't want any sort of mess during the contest. So please cooperate and be honest with yourselves and us! PLEASE!

Last but not the least...How can I forget our two other companions! Our lovely, Mahi and Sanju. Who have tolerated us, supported us and helped us out where ever we stuck by during our journey till now. They both have helped us with these lovely banners you'll find shimmering around enhancing the beauty of this thread! Thanks a lot buddy for helping us out and for these amazing edits!

1) To confirm your entry send a PM to either Sunain or --Epithymia--.If you are not a registered member of India Forums then send a mail confirming your entry to likhavatedkv@gmail.com

2) The theme for this competition is "Enunciating Silence & a Spring's Sunset". So these two should be present in your work and it should be on ShraMan. The rest of the premise, we leave to your creativity.You can write on EDKV story line or AU, it's your choice.

3) The entry must carry a title. It may or may not have a banner, its up to you.

4) The word limit is 1250 words or less.Please stick to the word count guys.

The font to be used is "Times New Roman", Size "3". It will have to be a new piece written especially for this contest.

5) If there are song lyrics or poems, we will not count them.

If there are translations you need to provide, we won't count them either.

6) All the entries will be first published at India Forums only during the contest. Once the results are announced, you can most definitely publish your stories, We won't hold you back from that, we can't. So you can post it here or on any other platform, declare it's your piece and continue it if you wish.

BUT, after the results are announced.

7) Your entry should be sent either via PM to Sunain or --Epithymia-- or should be mailed to likhavatedkv@gmail.com only.

To maintain the anonymity, do not inform your friends of your title or of your story.In an event that does happen, the story will be disqualified. Advertisement or requesting for votes is strictly Prohibited, will lead to disqualification.Please let your work do the talking, have faith in your writing.

6) We should receive your completed pieces with title on or before: 20 November 2017.

7) Having confirmed your entry, please send your pieces on or before the set deadline.Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.

8) Please respect the rules to help us maintain the integrity of this contest.

1) What is Likhavat?

Ans: Likhavat, a brain child of Sara Di (PrincessAshVik) and Zoya Di (orion23), is a OS writing competition organised on India Forums by EDKV forum. It had two seasons before : Likhavat [organised by Sara Di (PrincessAshVik) and Zoya Di (orion23)] and Likhavat 2.0 [organised by Saleha Di (KitKitMb) and Nik Di (Nik03)]. Links of both the seasons are given in the previous post.

2) How is Likhavat different from other writing competitions?

Ans: This competition aims to provide a platform to writers, where their work speaks for them. Participants will forward their titled works to either of the two Thread handlers. Only the pieces will be put on display and voting will then be carried out. Names won't be declared until the result is announced. It also aims to bring out the members that would like to try their hand at writing but shy away cause they fear recognition or the lack thereof.It is a large morale booster to know that it's not your name but your work that is being loved.

3) I am not a member of India Forums. Can I take part in Likhavat? If yes then how?

Ans: You surely can! You just need to send us two mails- one for conformation, second for entry. Your entry will be published anonymously for voting. Name (or UN) of the writers along with the title of their stories on the result thread.

4) Is conformation mail/PM compulsory?

Ans: It's not compulsory, but it surely books your spot.

5) How can I vote?

Ans: For IF members - Same old thing... A separate thread will be created for voting.

For others - Voting arrangements will be made on wattpad and twitter for which you will be informed then. Me and Naina Di will be taking the screenshot of every vote and post it on the IF voting thread for clarity and to avoid confusion.

Further rules of Voting will be announced later

6) I am not a member of India Forums. How can I read the entries?

Ans: After we have received the entries, we will be creating two threads, one with all the entries and second for voting. Since IF doesn't require you to be it's member to read the post, you can go to the thread and read. But you can't like or take part in discussion. For doing the same you need to be a member.

7) I am a Newbie/I am not active member of the EDKV forum/I haven't written a story before; should I take part in the Likhavat?

Ans: There is always a first time. Doesn't matter if you haven't done this before. We wont judge you. Atleast tryy...

As Stephen Kaggwa once said "Try and fail, but don't fail to try"

8) How will I know if the result doesn't gets manipulated?

Ans: The thread for voting on IF will have all the votes. If someone votes on wattpad or twitter me and Naina Di will be taking the screenshot of every vote and post it on the IF voting thread. Result will be declared according to the no. of votes on IF voting thread. As said before, registered or not you can view threads on IF, so all the votes will be public.

8) What is guessing game?

Ans: Since no one except the thread admins knows who have participated in the contest. So, members in here try to guess that who had written which story and send a list of their guesses to the thread handlers. The one with highest no. of correct guesses wins.

It sounds simple...doesn't it? Trust me it's the most difficult thing here.

9) Where can I read the entries for #1 and #2 ?

Ans: The links for the #1 and #2 threads are given in the previous post.

We finally managed to clear the first tricky round of this journey. I know there is lot more to come and more tricky stuff to be dealt with but for now we have this for you guys! I hope we are looking after your baby in a very civilized and appropriate manner What do you guys think? 😛

The wait is finally over now (not actually, but still😆)

For the guessing game, I personally thought that it was quite easy and difficult at the same time but never expected that we will have 4 winners...
