Alia's sense of entitlement is a bit much these days - this is what early success and lack of competition does to an artist. And to top it, even critics act like she's the best actress to have walked the earth.

I think people are a bit too harsh on Alia.

It is not uncommon for actors to request directors/writers to create screenplays based on their interests. Almost everything that Aamir Khan does these days is create screenplays based on his interests.

It is not always a matter of nepotism, but your talent and clout. Newcomers never get to make requests. Their talents and skills are unknown. Once they are established and people know what they can do, they can make requests.

Some people may feel Alia is not established enough to make such requests. But I feel she is talented enough to have such aspirations.
