Part 8

The sun rise with new day and new hopes but two souls were broken. They were still couldn't understand what is happening in their lives? Why suddenly everything looks messed up? There were so many questions which were unanswered. But most confusing thing was their feelings.

Rey left for college after getting ready as if Taani doesn't exist in his world because he knew this is the only way to stop the things getting worse and most importantly he doesn't want to hurt her more.

Other side, Taani was hurt by his words thinking that he thinks so low about her. She knew, he never wanted her in his life but their fate has brought them together and she can't do anything about it. But she can do one thing for his happiness and that is to maintain distance from him as much as possible because this is the only way to stop both of them getting hurt.

In college, Taani was walking towards her class when she noticed Rey was coming from opposite direction. She got nervous when their gaze met but she lowered her head to avoid him and continue walking and he also did the same as if he doesn't know her.

Suddenly she bumped into someone and was about to fall when that person held her hand to prevent her from falling. She looked up and found it was Rohan.

He was looking at her intensely which she found weird because his gaze made her uncomfortable and nervous. She stood properly which made him came back to his senses.

"Sorry." He said as he scratched back of his neck to avoid the weird feeling he felt a moment ago. Don't know why but he always found himself getting lost in her innocence filled hazel brown eyes.

She just nodded in response and to avoid the awkwardness she looked right side when her gaze met with Rey, who was looking at them angrily. She knew he hates Rohan and her being his team mate, he is angry with her too.

She quickly turned her head other side. Rey passed them by giving angry glare towards them.

"Hi, wo...main tumhe he dund(search) raha tha." Rohan said after a minute of silence.

"Mujhe..? Kyun..?" she asked confused.

"Wo actually..." he was about to say when Neha interrupted them who came there with whole drama team.

"Taani, Neha Happy for you." Neha said with board smile and hugged her.

"Sirf Neha hi nahi, hum sab tere liye bahut khush hai." Bharat said unaware that still Rohan hasn't opened his mouth yet.

"Par hua kya hai, jo aap sab itne khush hai?" Taani asked confused which made everyone except Rohan look at her like she had grown another head.

"Tumne abhi tak Taani ko nahi bataya..?" Aashi questioned Rohan who was about to open his mouth but again cut off by Bharat.

"Abe tu to humse pahle yahan aaya tha fir bhi tune use nahi bataya." Again he tried to talk but this time Neha beat him off.

"You are so mean Rohan." All started to scold Rohan without letting him to speak.

Taani starts laughing seeing Rohan's face, finding whole situation funny. Gang was amused to see her laughing her heart out. But Rohan was lost in her, the way her smile reached to her eyes make her more beautiful than she already is. Somewhere he was happy that he is the reason for her smile. Soon he came out of his dreamland when stopped laughing.

"Ab to bata do ki kya baat hai..?" Taani was so curious to know.

And again gang started to fighting for whom should reveal the news to Taani but Rohan got irritated and shouted, "guys, stup it."

Suddenly, he held Taani's hand and brought her to atrium, followed by Gang. Rohan clapped to gain attention of students present there.

Dance team was also present there including Rey. He was standing at last, keenly watching what's happening.

"Attention Guys, I've important news for you all. I'm happy to announce that from this year there will be an official drama team in college as other teams." Students cheers for them but a group of students was not much happy and they were dance team.

Drama team could see Rey and his team members were not happy with this news. They all were giving a smirk to Dance team and other side Dance team was passing anger glare to them. Except SwaRon, who were not affected by this.

"And this all happened because of our new team member, Taani." Rohan continued on which gang clapped for her.

"She was the one who put a great performance in front VP sir, even though she wasn't fine." Rohan said with a smile as he was looking at her.

But one person was beyond angry with all this, Rey. First he wasn't happy with drama team has became official because of his equation with Rohan but now he felt boiling up from inside seeing Taani by his side, and when Rohan looked at her smilingly, his fist clenched and don't know why but he felt urge to push that Rohan away from her.

Rohan asked Taani to say something. First she refused but Rohan encouraged her to speak.

"Na..Namaste.. main..." Taani started but cut off by all students as they starts laughing at her for talking in hindi, except Drama team, Rey, Swayam and Sharon.

Seeing them all laughing at her and making fun of her, tears started to form in her eyes.

Suddenly Shanaya came in centre where Taani was standing and stopped all the students.

"What are you doing, guys? Why are you all laughing at her?" she asked as looked at Taani.

"It's okay, if she can't talk in English. She is from some village... vo ek gauv(village) se aayi hai, so how can she? I mean gauv ke logo ko to theek se hindi bolna bhi nahi aata toh English to bahut door ki baat hai. Hai na, Taani..?" she said faking concerned towards Taani but students starts laughing again.

She smirked evilly looking at Taani. She has got a chance to humiliate her in front of everyone and she can't let that go.

"Guys, look at her clothes. She is so poor. You know what, meri maid bhi isse better clothes pahanati hai." Her comment broke all the confidence Taani have. She bends her head to hide her tears which were streaming out from her eyes.

Rohan, Team and SwaRon were so angry on Shanaya's behaviour but one person who starts hating her was, Rey. He doesn't like the way shanaya was talking about Taani. He knew, he has his own problems with Taani but she doesn't deserve all this humiliation by anyone.

He was about to stop shanaya but Rohan beat him up first.

"Shut up Shanaya, and mind your language. One more word against Taani and you has to face serious consequence." Rohan shouted at her which made her took a step back.

Rey was looking all this but didn't like the fact that Rohan is protecting Taani. Don't know why but he was feeling, it should be him who do all this and this increased his anger more and he left from there.

All this was noticed by Swayam who was confused by Rey's reaction. He knew, shanaya crossed all limits today but the way Rey was looking at Taani, there were pain and concern in his eyes for her but then it replaced by anger when rohan defended Taani. There was definitely something which his best friend is hiding.

Here, Shanaya was burning in anger feeling insulted in front of whole college. Her one glare was enough for all to disappear from there.

Taani, who was unable to control her tears, silently moved away from there.

Rohan was about to follow her but Peon came there and said VP sir wants to meet him immediately. He sighed and gave nod to him.

Swayam signalled Rohan that he will go to her and he nodded as he knew only sensible person in Dance team is Swayam.

Swayam left from there and searched for Taani and found her in garder area, sitting on bench and was looking lost. He went there and silently sat beside her.

Taani turned her head sensing someone's presence and got little scared to see a member from dance team. Seeing her scared face he thought to make her comfortable first so he gave chocolate to her, which made her look at him confused.

"Meri mom kahti hai ki har naye kaam ki shuruat meethe(sweet) se karni chahiye aur aaj tumhari bhi nayi shuruat hai drama team ke sath." Swayam explained with genuine smile. Seeing his sweetness and good nature, she too smiled at him and took the chocolate.

"Kya main kuch kah sakta hoon?" Tanni nodded.

"Hindi mein baat karne se gabrao mat kyunki yahi tumhari pehchaan hai. Aur rahi baat English ki toh yeh koi jaroori nahi hai aur na hi koi tumhe force kar sakta hai English me baat karne ke liye." He said hoping that she could understand.

She felt good hearing his soothing words. Though they don't know each other nor are related anyhow but still she felt connection with him.

Someone patted on his shoulder from back which made both of them look at the person. Taani got scared seeing Sharon because she had heard about her famous anger.

Sharon congratulated her to make her relax.

"Mujhe pata hai, yeh jaroor tumhe koi lecture de raha hoga bilkul bade bhai ki tarah. Am I right, Taani?" Taani giggled on this and Swayam scowled.

"I'm sorry Taani par hume abhi jana hai, kuch kaam hai." Sharon said on which Taani nodded. Both, swayam and Sharon were about to move then Taani called Swayam.

"BHAI..." first Swayam was shocked to hear this but then a smile formed on his lips to hear this word from her.

"Thank you." She said with smile.

Shanaya was planning to take revenge from Tanni because of her only rohan insulted her in front of whole college. She was thinking about the plan while walking in corridor when she found Taani, who was asking from a guy about the way to computer lab and hearing this and an idea struck in her mind and evil smile formed on her lips.

She signalled that guy to tell her the wrong direction without even Taani's notice and the guy did the same.

Taani went towards the direction where that guy told her but that place was so isolated.

"Main shayad galat jagah aa gayi hoon." She thought to herself and was about to walk away from there when someone pushed her into a dark room and locked the room from outside.

She got startled with the sudden push but then she noticed it was looking like a store room.

"koi hai bahar... please darwaza kholiye... please koi hai.. she starts banging on the door when she heard some shuffling behind her and then someone's voice. She knew whose voice this is and turned around.

"Tum."
