Chapter 2 : Dares!

Nevertheless, Geet almost forgot everything as she was discovering new things about him every day! He has evolved a lot, hasn't he? And what is all this bustle around him regarding those bimbos I meant those girls! He is getting a little too much attention in their class! and that's not a healthy combination for his career plans!

"Oye...Geet..Kiya soch rahi hain tu??Tiffin kyun nahi kha rahi?"Pinky's sharp pitched voice finally registered in Geet's mind and she shared a blank look to her nonstop chattering best friend, still trying to grasp what she is saying.
"Tujhe pata hain?...Armaan aur Riddhima ke official couple hone se bhi jayda kaal jo maha kand huwa na tere aur DD ke bich wo aab charcho mein hain..." Pinky took a bite of her burger while Geet raised her eyebrows in anticipation! DD means Dhak Dhak of course!
"Kiya matlab...?" Geet is very much flushed now, the mention of his mere nickname can even raise her heartbeat to a rapid level! Why is Pinky talking about yesterday's incident! She feels enchantedly nervous when he is being mentioned! This is bad! Very bad!
"Areh matlab aur kiya???...Armaan ne toh Riddhima ko propose karke adhi ladkio ka dill tod diya naa...Aab toh pura focus Maan pe hain..." Pinky said casually in between munching her bites then she rotated her neck at a certain crowd brewing inside their canteen, "Woh dekh..Wo dekh...Radhika...Main na khana leke aa rahi thi toh tujhe pata hain maine kiya suna??" Geet vividly marked the oozing excitement emission from Pinky's voice and body language whereas she just gestured Pinky with her eyes asking, "What!" trying to be a little annoyed! 🤓
"Areh...Par tu kha na...Warna main kha jaungi...haan toh jo keh rahi thi...Woh Alisha hain na usne Radhika ko koi dare de rahi thi...Maan se related...Kaal dd matlab ke Maan ne woh tujhe kuch kaha nahi na...Upar se tujhe tere naam se bhi bulaya na toh kafi ladkio ka confidence boost ho gaya hain..."Geet's eyes got enlarged hearing the whole plight!
"Kiyaaa...matlab abhi bhi log uss baat ko leke pade hain???" Now finally Geet grasped what pinky was chattering from past few minutes, "Aur nahi toh kiya...Main itni der se kiya keh rahi hoon??? Tu waise super famous ho gai hain..." Pinky grinned proudly at her flabbergasted best friend!
"Magar kyun...I don't want to be famous...Tabhi kaal se itne log ghoor rahe hain mujhe?? Oh no...Pinky this is so bad...Tujhe toh pata hain na main kitni conscious ho jati hoon inn sabse??" Geet sounded panicked, indeed she hated limelight! Her love was in being anonymous!
This is a thing about school she hates the most, overhyping every darn thing! Every little incident gets so much amplified and over the top exposure that she simply hates it. Although there is a plus point of all this and that is with a new day new happenings take place while they seem to forget the yesterday pretty easily! Now she just has to wait for that!
"Hay hay Geet woh dekh DD mera matlab hain ki Maan bhi aa raha hain...Woh bhi idhar..." Pinky's voice clearly depicted the urgency to make her look towards Maan's forwarding frame.
But Geet being Geet put her palm over her face hiding it, "Hain...Woh idhar kyun aa raha hain??" She doesn't even know why is she whispering!!!!
"Mujhe kiya pata..." Pinky too felt nervous as Maan glanced at her as well while giving both of them the air of relief he simply occupied the table next to them and put his headphone into his ears, focusing inside some book, not sparing a single look to anywhere else! Within a few seconds his best friend Aditya also joined him by sparing a cordial smiley nod at pinky to which she just exchanged a sweet smile!
"He is here to have lunch.." Both besties looked each other and smiled sheepishly as how stupid they can get? It's their school canteen and obviously he i here to eat! Gosh! MSK! He does that every time, messing with frail creature's heads!
Geet & Pinky too just thought to resume their lunch but they could clearly hear some cluttering taking place in front of them. Hence looking at that direction both of them found those bunch of girls approaching towards them whose dare previously disclosed by Pinky!
By those girls body language, it was clear that their supreme target is towards Maan only!
Gulping her nervousness down with the relatively cold water Geet moved her gaze towards Maan who was not budging an inch and just was enjoying music probably with his book and lunch!
One of the girls, Radhika got pushed randomly by some another one from their group and which ended her up before Maan's table. Still, Maan is indifferent. Skimming through the book very attentively.
Adi poked his shoulder looking at the circumstances as he was getting constant glares from the girl's gang hence he decided to take the initiative to call his friend who clearly seems clueless.
"Kiya hain..." Maan said with a deep voice, sipping his coffee while he was still engrossed into his book!
"Woh...Maan...Dekh naa...Shayed yehhh...What's your name??" Adi tried to remember the girl's name, "Radhika...Yeah Radhika tujhse kuch kehna chahti hain..." He endeavoured to inform Maan but not a word registered through his skull as his ear was plugged by a heavy headphone.
However, he randomly looked at Geet who was shockingly looking at him with her mouth wide open!
"Tumhe kuch kehna hain???" Maan finally put his headphone down and directly arched his arrow of question towards Geet! To which she immediately shook her head negatively like a cute cat, "Toh aise ghoor kyun rahi ho...Finish your food...it's getting cold, Geet." He literally threatened her with a fiery glare while Geet gestured him to look towards his left where Radhika is still standing trying to think of a way to initiate her conversation.
"Kiyah...Yeh yun yun kiya matlab?? Yun haat kyun hila rahi ho..." Maan simply glanced at Radhika for once and got his eyes back on Geet again, "Zuban mein koi problem hain?? My bad, abhi bhi problem hain??" with his remark Geet's cribbing inside her mind too started, "Yeh loo shuru lo gaya...Pehle toh baat nahin kaar raha tha wahi accha thaa...Aab sabke saamne meri bachi kuchi izzat bhi dher kar dega ye attitude ki dukannn...Par bacchu din mera bhi aayega...Rukk...babaji ke dher mein der hain andher nahin..." she was totally pestered by Maan's ever so sarcastic remarks!
As he was talking with Geet and his full attention was towards her only, this made others pretty jealous because they are not getting this sudden communication build up between Maan and Geet. Why does he even care if she eats or not?? Or she talks? There Radhika is standing and he is not even sparing a glance!
A clueless Radhika cleared her throat pretty harshly and tried to gain Maan's attention and this time she came successfully!
"???" Maan just raised his eyebrows at Radhika who was standing next to his chair with cute puzzled expressions.
"What is it? Speak up please..." Adi tried to intervene knowing Maan hates it like anything when someone disrupts his reading.
"Woh...I...Mujhe...Maan ...Can you stand up please???" Radhika fumbled a little looking at Maan and her surrounding all in whole.
"Kyun?" Maan was direct.
"Huhhh...?" Radhika was startled with his answer.
"What huhh...Do I even know you?" He was Direct this time too but with his sharp voice which emitted insult from it.
Everyone gasped as how can he not notice Radhika...She is one of the most beautiful girl on their whole class. Is it even possible? Or he is simply bluffing? Ok, he is new that's why might have been skipped! But he is not that new as well??
Poor fellow remembering so many names must be difficult!
Meanwhile, Riyana too entered the canteen to witness all the teenage drama going on!
Maan was back into his reading and with that, he even put his headphones back on. But he was disturbed again by Radhika who tapped her fingers on his shoulder and this time he was furious.
"What is it...You want to sit here?...Sit..." He stood with a bolt adjusting that blue school tie a little and taking all his stuff he literally went to Geet's table and sat beside her, giving her and their whole class the shock of their life!
"I hope you don't mind." They heard him directing his sentence towards a timid Geet who again just shook her head confirming Maan. Yeah, why would she even have any problems...Nobody would have any problem in their class sharing table with Maan...Isn't it!?
Wrong...She is not everybody and she does have a problem with Maan! And has a problem with all his snotty smirks! With his strange meaningless stares at her followed by that crooked smile while gazing down as if he is back to ignoring!
Among all the jealous ones Riyana was the most furious one as Geet could sense her burning glare even from a distance.
What is so special about this low standard four-eyed behenji Geet? She is not that bright of a student, she just reads a lot huh! If Riyana would study even half as her she would easily beat Geet! Then She is also horrible in sports! Utterly horrible!
Terrible dressing sense, obsolete gawky just has a pretty face however which many blind guys probably find innocent and within pity even fall for her!
She is practically a loner! Although for some strange reason a few dumbbb boys did find her helpless state as cute and tried to pursue her to which that dumb Geet even declined! Well to be precise 2 boys till now!
Yeah, she is different but defected! Can't even talk properly! Yesterday's stammering session is still in the talk! A total treat of bullying object! This is how depthless she thought about Geet and now Maan's sudden attention seems to fuel those cruel intentions of Riyana further!
"Good...even if you do I don't care..." Maan again replied Geet, looking inside his book.
Here Radhika was getting all sorts of taunts hence she again tried to pursue her task!
"Maan..." this time Radhika pitched her voice high and he glared at her direction with utter annoyance!
"Seriously..Now...What is it?" Maan is getting angry for real now.
Without saying a word Radhika simply held Maan's cheek and pressed a kiss with a blazing speed followed by a shocking unexpected slap on his other cheek!
Each soul present there was frozen with the bizarre act. To kindle the incident additionally Armaan and Riddhima entered the canteen, holding hands and witnessed that awkward scenario!
"Heyy...What's happening here...?" a clueless Armaan said casually looking at the astounded crowd!
"What the heckkk????" Maan shouted in his high decibel! His breath was heightened as well!
"Main...I I...I am so...so sorry...It's ...it's just part of...A dare...But I still love you..." Radhika said with a trembling shaky voice, looking into Maan's volcanic eyes. She blurted out in guilt as he might not even know but she is one of the girls who sometimes post letters into his locker anonymously! And she was smitten by Maan not because of his looks but because he saved her once from some boys who were pestering her in some hallway! That incident was just after he joined their school! She felt a little heartbroken as her savior didn't remember her face even!
"Jjj...Jaay...Jayda jor se lagi kiya??" She forwarded to touch his face anxiously but immediately stopped by the glare of Maan!
"Stay the effing hell out from me...What's wrong with you people?? Who does such shitty dares??" his roar was heard by each one present at the canteen, including other class's students as well!
"Maan I am really sorry...Please forgive me...Please...I will do everything what you ask..Please forget the slap..." Radhika thought she is a girl hence Maan won't be as angry as he gets on the boys of her class! But she cursed everyone including herself who gave her this awful dare!
"Girl...I am bothered about your shameless kiss...Whatever your name is...??" Maan was in full form on his insulting skills! But then he glanced at a flabbergasted Geet who was throwing awful expressions, which made him raise one one of his brows
"Radhika.. She was meek and shaken!
"Yeah, Radhika...Sharam karna chahiye...Seriously, Who does this?? Are you insane or your glucose level is down?? And prepare another sorry for your present/future bf fiance or husband..." Maan baffled everyone with his sarcastic comment!
"Whattt? I don't have one..yet" Radhika escaped a shout in shock!
"Yeah...?? Decent girls don't kiss other's bfs..." Maan stood up and went dangerously close to Radhika, making her heart beat faster and consciousness fading with his enigmatic extremely attractive personality! Those deep brown eyes!
"But you...you don't have a girlfriend.." she someone spilled her words while he turned a little looking at Geet, "Yet..." Finished her sentence swiftly!
"You don't know about the future right?" Maan crossed his arms over his chest and looked at Radhika while throwing his dirt of question. He is amused seeing Geet's reaction as her enlarged eyes and slightly parted lips are indicating her full attention is towards him! He sort of liked it!
"But why bother about future?" Radhika asked in return with an extreme confused tone.
"Who knows, woh abhi yehi ho?? Tumhare iss kand ke liye future mein agar mujhe justification dena pade toh?" Maan again smirked a little, rolling his eyes followed by glancing at all of the souls present there.
"Maan mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hain...Anyway I am sorry to you and your future gf too...But there is a solution..." as Maan was furthering the conversation hence that gave Radhika boost and she started flirting with Maan. Her teenage undeveloped self couldn't understand that these are not the talks you do in such a public environment!
"Make me your girlfriend...I won't say a word to you. ..." She sounded lame and desperate while the crowd cheered up seeing her courage! She has been so much pestered by her friends that now she tried to project herself as brave while declaring her love openly!
"Yeah...Right...Good attempt of trying another prank...You need to wake up its middle of the day...The dare is over..." He saw Geet was touching her backpack, probably now she is going to leave hence he finished his pep talk rapidly, "And...What happened today should not be repeated...Samjhi!!!" Maan royally ignored Radhika exactly on her face and turned to Geet, stared at her for a while and she knew exactly what he meant inside that stare! But she simply avoided him while standing up and moved her legs to leave! Msk being typically ignored by miss handa!

Precap: "Oh...Shit yaar...No I totally forgot...woh ct ho rahe hain na ek ke baad ek mujhe time hi nahi mill paa rahi hain..." as they were conversing with each other he was also witnessing everything from far!
Looking at her happy beaming face Maan simply took a sigh, thinking how she used to be chirpy around him too! But what has gone wrong!
