Raman was pacing to and fro when Toshiji came with ishita's parent and ashok. Toshiji saw raman pacing worriedly and walked to him. She was still not sure that what she is seeing is real or just get illusion. Her son was infront of her, yes his face and body was changed a bit but being a mother she could recognise her son's heart. She went close to raman and said meekly with shivering voice -raman puttar, while her eyes were filled.
Raman turned to toshiji and said -maa.
She burst into tears hearing this and hugged Raman tight crying.
Toshiji -tu Kahan tha puttar, kyun nahi aata itne din. Tujhe pata hai hum dono tere bina mar rahe the.ishita puttar toh bilkul pagal si ho gayi thi. Kahan tha tu puttar. She said in between her hiccups.
Raman hugged her tight and said -main bhi aap dono ke bina mar hi raha tha.
Toshiji -tu wapas kyun nahi aata puttar.
Raman -kya bataun, kis galatfehmi mein jee raha tha main.
Toshiji -galatfehmi?? Kaisi galatfehmi.
Raman -that I will tell u but first tell me what happened that she slit her wrist. Thodi der pehle toh thik thi when I went upstairs.
Toshiji look down feeling guilty and said -its all because of me puttar. I was forcing her.
Raman -for what maa?
Toshiji wasn't able to tell him the truth when amma said -we thought that ishita is getting mad in ur memories and she has started drinking and smoking too, so we thought to,she paused saying this much.
Raman -what u guys thought.
Amma -to get her married to ashok.
Raman got shocked hearing this when Toshiji said -we were just worried for her nothing else.
Raman -i just don't understand u guys, kyun aap log har baar uss par apna faisla thopte hai. Last time u got her married to me, jab ki usse main pasand bhi nahi tha, pasand kya, usne toh mujhe dekha bhi nahi tha. And now when she don't want to marry ashok, Aap log phir zabardasti uski shaadi karana chahte the. Kyun aap log kar rahe hai aisa, woh insaan hai gudiya nahi, that u can mould them as per ur choice. He said making their parent look down.
Appa -we just want to see her happy. She was again going to that darkness. Usne phir se sharab aur cigarette peeni shuru kar di thi.
Raman -aur aapki lagaa ki aise zabardasti shaadi karne se problem solve ho jayegi. Moreover why she started drinking and smoking. Kyun kiya usne aisa, coz u all throw her out of ur life. Aisa koi karta hai kya, u all broke every ties with her. Main maanta hoon usne galti ki thi but u shouldn't have left her alone. Meri biwi hai woh maa, mere baad aapki jimmedari thi woh. Aapne usse ghar se nikaal diya.
Toshiji -i was angry puttar, mujhe bahut gussa aaya tha jab usne bola ki teri maut ki wajah woh hai.
Raman -nahi maa, she was not the cause. Main toh apne kaam se Singapore jaa raha tha, Main maanta hoon usne galat kiya tha mere saath but uske liye main usse divorce de raha tha but she wasn't the cause of my death. Phir kyun aapne usse ghar se nikaal diya maa.aur maa ne nikala toh nikala, Aap dono ne bhi usse saare rishte tod diye. Aap log toh maa papa ko naa,how can u just leave her just like that. Woh beti thi aapki. Matlab Ek rishta nahi nibha paayi, woh bhi aisa joh uss par thopa gaya tha, issliye Aap sab ne usse marne ke liye chod diya. Apne mare hue bete ke liye apni zinda bahu ko maar daala. Aaj aaye hai uske liye chinta karne kabhi socha ki usse jyada galat Aap log hai. Arey shaadi ka rishta mann ka hota hai, aatma ka hota hai. Aise zabardasti ka nahi, pehle raman ab ashok, lekin piss toh har baar ishita rahi hai naa. Aaj hospital mein pahunch gayi, ab ruk jaiye Aap log warna bahut jaldi. He said almost crying but then wiped his tears and said -but ab nahi ,ab aap logon ki mann maani nahi chalegi. I am with her and I will look after her.
Toshiji -aisa mat bol puttar, humse galti ho gayi.
Raman -galti, u know maa, i was alone in hospital for whole eight months. And I was thinking that I am the most unlucky person in the world, but jab ashok se suna how he found ishita, mujhe lagaa at least I have the doctors and nurse to take care of but ishita, usse toh logon ne kude ki tarah phenk diya tha. Ashok found her in mid of garbage, kaise rahi woh itne din, Kahan rahi, kisi ko kuch pata nahi. And no one even thought to know about it. Kyun maa, aisi kya galti ki thi usne ki uske saath aisa kiya aap sab ne.agar usse kuch ho jaata toh aaj kya jawaab deti Aap mujhe ,ki kyun maar diya meri biwi ko.
Toshiji -tu bhi toh nahi aaya wapas. She said crying.
Raman -haan nahi aata, kyunki andha ho gaya tha apni insecurity mein, dekh nahi paaya uska pyaar. Aapki tarah maij bhi uska gunaahgaar hoon.but I will pay for my mistake, I will repent for it. Aap logon ki tarah ishita ka masiha nahi banne lagunga. Raman ke saath khush nahi rahi toh ashok se shaadi karwa do. Kabhi usse mat puchna ki ishita tum kya chahti ho. Soch liya ki pehle raman usse khush rakh sakta tha, ab ashok rakhega. Kabhi ishita se mat puchna ki tum kiske saath khush rahogi. He was saying when the nurse came and said -u guys please speak slowly, this is hospital.
Raman nodded and asked -hows my wife.
Nurse -cut is deep, doctor bandage kar rahen hai. Soon she will be fine.
Raman nodded and settled on the couch praying for her well being while toshiji and her parent were sitting looking down feeling guilty. Whatever raman said was true. Because of them only ishita went through so much and because of them only ishita is now in hospital.
It was more then an hour since Raman brought ishita and all were waiting for some news about ishita. All eyes were fixed on the door when the doctor came out.
All ran to him and asked about ishita.
Doc-she is fine, unhe hosh aa gaya hai, she is asking for raman. Aap sab mein se raman kaun hai.
Raman -main hoon.
Doc -aap please ander jaiye. He said and Raman got in and saw her laying on the bed while her eyes were on the door. He sighed in relief seeing her all OK while she tried to got up seeing him but winced in pain due to the wound when he ran to her and stopped her.
Raman -dont do this ,u r hurt already. He was telling while ishita was just looking at him.
Ishita cupped his face and asked caressing his face -aap raman ho naa. Mere Raman.
Raman just nodded and ishita kissed his temple softly. He closed his eyes feeling her touch. She continued dropping soft kisses all over his face while tears were flowing continuously from her eyes.
Raman wiped her tears and said -please, don't cry. U r not well shitu.
Ishita -I am sorry raman, I am really sorry. Mujhe meri galtiyon ke liye maaf kar dijiye. She said hugging Raman tight and start crying bitterly.
Ishita -I am sorry raman, please forgive me, ab mujhe chod kar kabhi mat jaiyega. She was saying and crying snuggling more into him while he was just trusting to console her but her tears were unstoppable today. Seeing her crying Raman too start crying and both hugged each other tight to pour their pain of being separate.
After sometime raman broke the hug and said -tumhe rest karna chahiye.tumhe rest ki zarurat hai.
Ishita -nahi mujhe bas aapki zarurat hai. Why u took so long to come to ur shitu. She said snuggling more into Raman.
Raman -sorry shitu, it was all my fault. I thought u don't need me anymore in ur life. He said looking down.
Ishita -kya Matlab.
Raman -when I came back to u after many months, I saw u with ashok with all these symbols of marriage, so I thought u got married to him. Mujhe lagaa tumne apni zindagi mein meri jagah ashok ko de di. Iss liye hi main wapas chala aaya. I thought u forgot me. I am sorry, I mistrusted u. He said with moist eyes while ishita was shocked to hear this.
Ishita cupped his face and said -I am sorry raman, mere behaviour ki wajah se hi aapko aisa mehsus hua. It was all my fault, aapko kitni takleef hui hogi naa yeh soch kar ki maine aapko bhula kar ashok se shaadi kar li. I am sorry, sab meri galti thi.
Raman -no it wasn't ur fault. Har kisi ki galti ko apni galti mat maano. It was my insecurity that I trusted what I saw. I should have cross checked. Jis ladki se itna pyaar kiya, ussi se itni nafrat karne lagaa that I tried to rape her. Apni hi biwi ko behoshi ki dawa peela kar, usse lut lena chahta tha, sorry shitu main nafrat mein andha ho gaya tha, I tried to harm u.
Ishita -but aapne kuch kiya toh nahi naa,aap kuch kar hi nahi sakta the. Coz ur love for me is above all. I know aap chah kar bhi apni shitu ko hurt nahi kar sakte.
Raman -but why u were hurting urself, yeh kya haal bana rakha hai. And how dare u to start drinking and smoking. Aise kaise jala rahi thi khud ko,aisa karta hai kya koi. He said cupping her face.
Ishita -toh kya karti, u left me alone. Don't u know ur shitu is ur baby, she can't handle herself without u. Kitna bhi gussa kare she wants u next to her. Toh phir kyun chod kar gaye. She said crying.
Raman hugged her tight to his heart content and said -I am sorry jaan, sorry bachcha. Will never leave u again but promise me u will never touch alcohol and cigarette again.
Ishita nodded like an obedient kid while raman just pecked her temple. Ishita hugged his tight and said -i love u raman.
Raman closed his eyes observing her words as it was more like music to his ears. His shitu, his wife is confessing her love for him.
Raman pecked her forehead and said -love u too.
Ishita smiled and pecked his lips in a jiffy making him shocked but before he could react everyone came in. All met ishita and said sorry for every wrong they did with her till now.
Ishita -aap log kyun sorry bol rahen hai, I got what I deserve. Raman ka dil todne ki saza toh mujhe milni hi thi. But I am really happy that finally after an year our sorrows ended. Now I don't want anyone to be sad and guilty. Aap sab please muskuraiye aur khush hoiye, mere Raman wapas aa gaye hai. She said smiling making everyone smile.
Raman went to ashok and said -really sorry ashok, Maine tumhe bahut galat samjha but u only helped ishita.
Ashok -its OK sir, waise bhi it was my repentance. If u can forgive me for that night. I was very rude to u.he said looking down.
Raman -everything is forgiven and forgotten ashok. He said and hugged ashok. Ashok too hugged Raman back.
Then Raman went to his mother and said -I am sorry maa, Maine aapko bahut takleef pahunchayi. Maafi nahi mangunga, bas saza de do. Pehle ke liye bhi aur aaj ke liye bhi.maine zarurat se jyada hi bol diya. He said looking down.
Toshiji hugged Raman tight and said -u were not wrong, she was my responsibility but I throw her out. Sach kaha tumne uske saath kuch bhi ho sakta tha but I am glad ki kuch nahi hua aur aaj matarani ne mera beta aur bahu mujhe wapas kar diya. She said and hugged Raman tight. Then she went and kissed ishita's temple while Raman went to appa amma and said -will u forgive me for giving so much pain to ur daughter. Aur aaj joh kuch kaha uske liye bhi maaf kar dijiye. I got overboard, sabse badi galti meri thi that I don't trust my wife aur Maine aap logon ko itna sunaya.
Amma -coz u love her alot, issliye tumhe uski takleef se itni takleef hui. U were always my son. Haan meri kanna ne bahut takleef uthayi but as now u r here we know u will give her all the happiness.
Raman -sure amma. He said and hugged appa amma. Raman was apologising to everyone while Ishita's eyes were fixed on Raman only. He walked to ishita and said-tune mujhe maaf kiya naa.
Ishita nodded and said -aur aapne.
Raman -long back. He said making ishita smile.
Raman -toh wapas ghar chalen ,shitu.
Ishita wrapped his arms around her and said -I am already in my home. She said and rested her head on his chest, Raman smiled and kissed her temple while everyone was just admiring them seeing them together .
