DISCLAIMER: This is solely my POV, and not based on nay spoiler news! The intent is not to create any war, but just to disuss the difference of opinions, if any.
So, I just watched today's episode, and what a beautiful wedding it was I just wished that if they hadn't dragged the wedding for this long, we could have had wonderful moments of Ladkiwale Vs. Ladkewale. Anyway, this post of mine is dedicated to Omkara and Gauri, so those who aren't fond of them may choose to ignore the post.
Back then, I had been mighty upset when they had showed Gauri's mooh-bola bhai: Dandi coming into the picture and within seconds, "clearing" the misunderstanding which was built up for over five months. At that point it made no sense to me that a "relationship" based on such strong foundation of hatred, doubt and misunderstanding could be shaken with the power of truth, right under two minutes. I had been furious then, with all my precious hours spent on Dil Boley Oberoi and Ishqbaaz going down the drain with a two-minute confrontation that was shorter that the cooking time for instant noodles. And I was mad, especially at the writers and thought that Om wasn't even going to be redeemed for all the mental torture he put Gauri too, based on his POV alone.
But with today's scene, where he sees the "handsome" instructor Arjun at the English Center, I could see the Bareilly Om surfacing. Now many might wonder why he didn't guess that Gauri was attending English classes. I do not blame Om for his lack of analogy. His mind was too occupied with finding out who the man was, and what is his connection with Gauri. And why would he even imagine that she was learning English? Had Gauri ever expressed her wish to Omkara to learn English? No, I don't think so. And simple psychology says that when you have thoughts preoccupying your conscious mind, you tend to oversee other details, even if it is screaming into your face. And Om is only human- that too a very possessive, angry and a non-admitting jealous husband right now.
Om only recalled the time when Gauri sent that text message to Arjun saying that she couldn't meet him (for classes, duh!), and kept her mobile away from Omkara's gaze, who unfortunately for her read the text message and made a different meaning out of it. Again, Om isn't to be blamed. He just tried to connect the dots and formed his own conclusion. Now if anyone is going to bring the topic up of "why Om cannot trust Gauri in spite of her doing so much for him and his family?", let me quote Om again who said during the confrontation post the art-inspiration scene that he did not change his opinion of her even if he spoke nicely to her and even if she saved his life. And no confrontation can be one in two minutes, so spare me that logic that he said that before the MU Clearing- I DO NOT CALL THAT SCENE A MISUNDERSTANDING CLEARANCE 🥱 Which only goes to say that, Om's strong belief of Gauri being a gold-digger, a cheap and a characterless woman (Damn those words broke her apart every time he uttered it) is still stronger that his unnamed feelings (of love) for her, which he obviously does not want to admit even to himself.
Back to the episode, the Bubbling-Lava-Kara follows this Instructor and lands up at a cheap looking hotel. Why is this Arjun Sir conducting classes at a cheap hotel? I'm guessing there are reasons. One, Gauri needed a break from Omkara but not from classes. Going back to Bareilly meant cancelling her classes. Now she could have stayed with Dandi Bhaiyya and also attended classes. But anyway, writers need some kind of dramatic climax; hence the hotel! And now the "Jab-we-met-Hotel-Decent" type of a guy wishes good luck to Arjun and the Instructor, being the mast-maula types, winks back at the guy.
Omkara follows and books a room for the whole day, and the guy is surprised at Om's *ahem* stamina! *gutter-mind activates* ☺️ He says, people book the room for a few hours and you're booking it for the whole day, but where's the girl? Om winks at the guy and whispers, the girl also would arrive, just give me the room. (Can i say how eager I am to watch Om turning Ishqbaaz becomign a cheapda towards Gauri with all 2 rupees thoughts in mind? LOL, me and my gutter mind! ☺️☺️☺️)
*Back to being serious* And now, Om sees the room booked under- *drum rolls* Arjun and Gauri *ba dummm tsss* Ah! The anger, disappointment and the hatred in his eyes! He thinks to himself that his opinion of her was always right (about being cheap, a gold-digger and a characterless woman), and that he should never have been guilty about misunderstanding Gauri.
So, now VolcanoKara is back! Some of them would be disheartened to see the MU back, but I'm glad, coz the MU had never gone away. This would probably be a final push. If I'm guessing right, then Om would not enter the room of the hotel. Or even if he did, he would see some scene which he would misunderstand again. Like maybe, her dupatta stuck to Arjun's shirt. Or maybe a rat in the room, and Gauri holding Arjun in fear- a scene like the one in DBO where he sees Gauri hugging Kali with a smile, not knowing that she was only trying to sneak his phone away.
All in all, either on Monday or in the days to come, VolcanoKara is gonna burst, and with it, it shall bring a new phase, if dealt in the right manner. Om is going to throw all sorts of accuses, and this will be the final straw for Gauri. She is not going to take it anymore, and even worse, isn't going to offer any explanations. She may even file for a divorce saying that if he thinks so low of her, then she does not need this marriage and that they are better off each other than one accusing and the other always explaining. (I'm guessing the marriage was legalized during the Dhurinder episode (?)) and maybe Shivaay would help in making Om realize his sin of accusing Gauri, when all that she was trying to do was learn English for him to not embarrass him further and to make herself more capable for him (her words, not mine).
I'm hoping for power-packed dialogues for Gauri like, "Maine toh yeh socha tha ke hum aapke laayak nahi hain. au isi liye humne angrezi seekhna chahte the- taaki hum aapko sharminda na kar sake. lekin aapne jo hum par ilzaam lagaya, usse hume yehi lagta hai ke hum nahi, balki aap hamare laayak nahi. aap hamare vishwas, hamari shraddha ke laayak hi nahi. Bhagwaan maante the hum aapko; lekin aaj aapne dikha diya, ke jiss insaan ko bhagwaan maana tha, uski kitni ghatiya soch hai. aapne toh kabhi iss shaadi ko maana hi nahi. lekin aaj, hum bhi apne aap ko iss majboori ke rishte se azaad karte hain"
The accusations by Omkara are going to break Gauri's and the Rikarans hearts. But this is required to take the story forward- to take one step ahead from the story going round and round in circles. However, this track may also lead to Omkara realising how his silence is pushing Gauri away and may now take charge in chasing her. There was a spoiler regarding the same that the lover in him would chase after her (Not sure about the authenticity of the spoiler) . However I really doubt this because the anger in Om's eyes today spoke a different story. I'm rooting for a load of misunderstanding and words thrown across that will finally make Gauri take a decision of a forever separation. The sadist in me loves a painful Rikara- they nail such scenes! And this will make Om realise that even if he hasn't trusted her, even if he isn't madly in love with her, she is an inseparable part of him; she is his other half- equally flawed yet equally perfect, like him.
I just hope the writers maintain the essence of the track. I hope Shrenu gets well and does not compromise on her health in the name of track demands. And how happy I am that Atif is back to IB!
