Both daily infinite as finite, start out with a very simple plot of boy and girl falling in love (eventually), in which family, values and culture, religious holidays play a huge role. Especially, the housewife group will like this. Also, there are no explicit sexual scenes, so you can watch with the family. It approximately 30 min per serie. There is lots of repeat of scenes, short dialogues, easy to follow.

In the end they like the actor, most stories are basically the same. In infinite shows one can identify longer with the characters.

Reality show is about talent, entertainment. It is sometimes interactive. The average person can participate. So this is closer to home.

Youngsters tend to watch shows online/hotstar rather than watching on the television for various reasons(such as awkwardness in watching romance with parents, Time conflicts), and since finite shows mostly cover logic over drama, young people get attracted towards that more, therefore watching them online rather than on television.

Middle-aged Adults to Old people are used to the television format of the previous years, such as kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi, etc. So they would prefer shows that revolve around their comfort zone rather than shows that crisp and short. And since this age group contains the maximum part of the television audience, the creators would obviously target them, thus exhibiting shows they like(infinte).

Shows usually take time to build a fanbase. Longer(infinite) the shows are, bigger the fanbase. Therefore mostly infinite shows have a larger fanbase than the finite shows.

After working the entire day (Home or office), people prefer watching shows that are light or dramatic(for some spicein their life), over the logical mind twisting shows.

Another key pointer would be that, the older audience won't be able to comprehend this generation's slang. Sexual content is also minimum in infinite series.
