Prologue
A/N: Hey there! My brain wouldn't stop pestering me until I wrote this story down.. So there you are! This one is full of drama, anguish and everything. So drama lovers, this is for you. Hope you will like it.

Flashback (1 year ago)
A girl sat alone, below a tree with a book laid open on her lap. Instead of revising, she was currently plucking the small flowers that had grown wildly on the grass.
"Boo!" The girl startled when the voice shouted from beside her.
"Om! Stop doing that!" Gauri wailed as she hit him numerous times with the book.
"But why? I love seeing your face when you get startled!" Omkara laughed as he sat down beside her.
"Yeah.. Yeah.." Gauri rolled her eyes as she continued plucking the flowers.
"So watcha up to? Why are you studying right now in this beautiful weather? Don't you have other things to do?" Omkara teased as he snatched the book from her lap.
"Hey! Easy for you to say, smartass, Mr. Topper No.1.." Gauri shot back as she snatched back her textbook.
"What can you say? I was born-gifted.." Omkara said with a mocking tone and both of them burst out laughing.
"Yes, you are born gifted. But some people unlike you have to struggle for our grades!" Gauri replied and showed him his tongue.
"Well, let's just keep these texts aside.. if you want I can teach you later.. But let's spend our time doing something more resourceful.." Omkara said as he bent down to kiss her.
After a few minutes of ravishing her lips, Omkara drew back as they both tried to catch their breath.
"I love you, Gauri.." Omkara said, gazing at her with lustful eyes.
"I love you too, Om.. When will you send proposal for me, Om? My parents are getting antsy.." Gauri asked him, softly.
Omkara sighed heavily.
"Soon, Gauri.. I just need some more time. I want to be established myself. I have no interest in joining my family business.. Shivaay bhaiya handles it all." Omkara said.
"I know, Om.. But my parents have been showing me proposals for 2 years and I have kept on refusing. I'm scared they will eventually get frustrated and arrange without my consent." Gauri said, as she laid her head on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, Gauri. Your parents love you and they will not marry you off without your consent. No loving parents will do that. My parents have been pestering Priyanka as well, but they will not go ahead with anything unless she says 'Yes'." Omkara said as he ran his fingers through her hair.
"I hope so, Om. I hope so..." Gauri whispered.

Present
Gauri stood in front of her dressing table, as she looked at herself donned up in bridal dress and jewelery.
Why did you do this, Om? But why should I ruin my life for you?
She slowly removed all her jeweleries, make up and changed back into her jeans and shirt. She grabbed the bag she had sub-consciously packed for this very purpose.
She kept the letter she had written for her parents on the dressing table, and opened her window. She took a deep breath and slowly climbed out of the window and held tightly to the sill. She grabbed the pipe next to her window and slowly climbed down and jumped on the ground.
She ran as quickly as possible away from her house, knowing if someone saw her she would be in huge trouble.
She heard someone call her name, but she kept on running without glancing back.
She tripped on a stone and fell hard on the ground a feet away. She stood up and looked back to see Kaali Thakur's men quickly gaining pace on her. She turned back and started running but instead she ran smack into a hard wall. Or so she thought.
She looked up and her breath caught in her throat as she realized who stood in front of her.
"Om?" Gauri choked out. She couldn't believe her eyes and for a moment she felt this was all a dream. And she was back in her Om's arms instead of running for her life.
"Stand behind me. Now." Omkara commanded without even glancing at her. This wasn't her Om. This person was a strange man, with his hair tied back in a pony.. Her Om..
She again heard the shouts of the men of Kaali Thakur and quickly stood behind him. She saw some of the villagers had followed them as well.
"Oy! Give her to us! She is to be wed to Kaali Thakur." One of them shouted.
"And what if I don't? What if I marry her instead?" Omkara said in a hard voice.
"Why would you marry her? She is a used piece!" A villager asked Omkara.
Gauri closed her eyes as she heard the vile accusation.
"I don't care. Because she is now mine." Omkara said as took out his match box, lit fire by burning a few stray logs that were on the road.
"Does someone know how to recite the rites of passage for a wedding?" Omkara asked loudly and a man standing front nodded his head.
"Start reciting then." Omkara commanded as he took Gauri's hand and started taking the seven rounds with her.
Gauri couldn't understand what was going on.. One minute she was running and now she was getting married to him.. What she had always wanted but after what happened last year..
By the time she had got a grip on herself Omkara had already pulled out a pocket knife from his blazer, slitting his right palm with it and poured the dripping blood on her temple.
She closed her eyes, and realized - This is really happening. I am married to Omkara Singh Oberoi. I am his wife now.
The man finished reciting by saying, "And the wedding is complete, You are now a husband and wife."
Omkara ignored her questioning gaze and said to the goons, "Go tell, Kaali Thakur. That she now belongs to Omkara Singh Oberoi."
He finally looked down and finally said to her with a hard expression on her face, "You are now mine, Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi. You belong to me from now onwards."
