"maa will I also get a prince like Cinderella got in the story " asked a ten year old innocent avni after hearing the story
ayesha smiled at her innocent question and said " yes dear like I got ur father even you would get someone ". avni got happy and started singing " my prince will come and take me away with him ". Ayesha smiled looking at her daughter.

" avni is so beautiful. I hope no bad sight falls on her. we will get a prince for her " said ayesha's mother. ayesha nodded her head.
" I don't need any prince in my life. they are just in stories. I'm sure in real world no one exists . everyone will be like Papa who will leave and go. " said a twenty year old avni.
" avni don't tell like that beta " said her grandma.
" nanno this is the truth. no Prince Charming will agree to make a girl like me his princess who is considered illegitimate and impure by the society" said avni hiding her tears.
" I'm going to college nanno " said avni and went away.
" my one mistake broke all her dreams maa. Because I trusted Ashish this happened maa. I never knew he will come in this words of his mother and leave me and go away he did not think of avni also . Avni entered the college campus and did not find anyone. She wondered where were the others.
" looking for others my dear avni no one is here. U are finally trapped my revenge will get completed. I was one who phoned you using the principal number " said vikram dangerously.
Avni looked at him. He was the same person whom she slapped at the college yesterday for asasking her to sleep with him in front of everyone in exchange of money.
Before avni could think anything her her hands were grabbed by vikram ,0 he was letting her hands and he was holding it tightly. Avni cried in pain.
"let me go vikram " avni said.
" no my sweetheart not so easily. How dare you insult me yesterday. What wrong did I ask? When your mother can sleep with someone for years. Why can't you for one day? Don't worry I will not do anything I like just sleep with you and go away trust me I will not hurt you " vikram said in a voice it send shivers to avni's spine.
A fear came into her mind but she did not show it.
" leave me vikram otherwise it would be bad for you " said avni.
" what would you do? U will tell I raped you or molested you. Sweetheart who will believe you. Let me tell you no one. Who will believe a illegitimate girl? . Surrender urself it would be good " said vikram.
Avni struggled to get free from his hold increasing vikram's anger .

Tears were streaming from avni's eyes and she closed her eyes knowing her dignity will be gone the one thing she protected so dearly. But after sometime she felt nothing. Why was vikram not doing anything? Did he leave her?. Avni opened her eyes slowly and saw someone beating vikram badly . Vikram escaped and ran away for his life.
First time avni felt humanity till exists and wanted to thank the person who saved her dignity and saw the person approaching her. He looked so handsome and like a gentleman thought avni . But why hasn't she seen him before?
" are you okay. Don't worry nothing will happen. He will not return " said the handsome boy with concerned voice at least avni felt like that.
" thank you I'm Ok " said avni.
" I'm Neil. I am a new student. From tomorrow I will be joining this college " said Neil .
" oh I'm avni that's why I was wondering why did not see you before in the cammpus. Thanks Neil for saving me" said avni feeling grateful.
" it's ok but if you really want to thank me you can do that by becoming my friend ? Will you become my first friend in this college avni? " Neil asked and extended his hand to shake hands with her.
Avni looked at Neil's hand a friendship which she earned for which she never received. Friends which she never had because of illegitimacy and she was considered a bad company and given a cold shoulder by everyone even the parents of her classmates were happy with their children friendship with drug addicts but with her it was considered a sin. She knew this friendship will be broken tomorrow. Like all others even Neil will turn his back on her maybe he will regret saving her after knowing her truth.
Faking her smile she extended her hand to Neil and both shook hands.
" Neil it's late I should leave. My mother will be worried " said avni.
False said her heart you don't want to spend time with him. You don't want to cry tomorrrrow morning when he will act like a stranger with you when he finds the truth.
" I will drop you home. After all I'm ur friend " Neil said.
" no Neil I will manage please " avni said.
" fine. See you tomorrow avni. I will trouble you a lot " said Neil smiling at her.
Avni smiled genuinely and walked away.
At night when Avni was going to sleep when she remembered Neil he was just like the prince of Cinderella whom she heard in stories maybe better than him but the thing was she could never be his princess that was the reality. Neil would be quickly out of her life by tomorrow after he knows her birth truth . Avni slept away thinking of the insults which she will have to incur tomorrow in the college. Till did she know Neil khanna was not the one who cares about the person's birth or family he just loves a person for what the person is? Her prince charming had arrived to protect her.

Avni woke up had her breakfast and went as usual to college.
As she entered the college, she saw Rhea standing in front of her with amol her stepbrother and stepsister.
" look amol people don't have shame after getting so much insulted they till have the guts to come to the college . " taunted Rhea.
" whom are talking to about di. She is the daughter of the same women who broke my mother's house she would be same like her " said amol.
Avni temper raised how dare they? She could bear her insults but not her mother's.
" can't you mind ur own business. Not a word against my mother. I come to this college because I got scholarship not like you people who are going by ur huge donations "screamed avni.
Amol and Rhea were too shocked to react because never had avni answered them back she usually ignored them and went away.
Before they could tell anything they saw someone approaching towards avni.
" hi avni . Everything alright " asked Neil concerned seeing her face. It was looking like she was controlling her tears.
Rhea was surprised to see someone caring for avni that person so handsome. Why does all handsome boys want only avni?
" who are you? I have never seen you in campus " asked amol curiously
" I'm new admission in this college and avni's new friend " said Neil.
Avni became nervous. Riya smirked so this Neil does not know avni is illegitimate. Let me do the favor.

Neil looked at Rhea angrily and said " if you were not a girl I could have not spared you for speaking like this. Shame on you people especially you Rhea being a girl how could you? "

Neil went towards avni holds her wrist and starts moving from here.
But the next words of Rhea made neil do the worse.
" so how much did you pay her for sleeping with you? Did she ask you be her bodyguard. So cunning he is. She refused to sleep with vikram and now see what she is doing " said Rhea.
Neil strangled Rhea in front of the whole college. Avni tried to stop him but he was not listening.
" u how dare you speak like that about her? Don't understand the meaning of friendship. She is not cunning you and ur thoughts are miss Rhea mehta I'm warning you a word against her and u will face the worse of me " screamed Neil.
He turned towards the college students and said " the same applies to people. If anyone tries to hurt my friend get ready to face me ".
" how dare you Neil. U don't know my grandmother dayavanti mehta she will make u get punished for this " said Rhea angrily.
" whenever I think you can't stop low u surprise me Rhea. Please go ahead even I want to see which person will punish Neil khanna. If you know take advantage of ur surname even I know. My father is the trustee of this college and far powerful than ur grandma. So shut up ur stupid mouth " said Neil.
" come avni " said Neil and holds her hand and walks away leaving the whole college shocked.
Avni was staring at neil first time someone protected her and shut the whole college mouth. This was the time avni realizedthat all men are not like her father some people like Neil exists in this world.
