Raman was walking beside ishita's palki and looking at her continuously peeping through the translucent curtains, he was mesmerised seeing his princess while she was busy in taking care of the thaal in which diya was kept. Soon they reached near the bank of the river, all men were told to go away as the princess is coming, only ishita and Rajveer was allowed to go there.
Help kept the palki near the bank of the river and went from there, all stand in a far away place, giving privacy to the royal couple,a long curtain was there between the helps, bodyguards and ishita, so that no-one other then Rajveer could see ishita when she leave the diya in the river,ishita has already reached, all were waiting for Rajveer. Raman and mihir was standing in a corner and mihir said -ab dekh liya naa bhai, let's go from here. He said while Raman was busy in admiring Ishita's beauty which was glowing under the light of the diyas, she was actually looking like an epitome of beauty.
Raman -abhi nahi, abhi I have to see her from very close,waise bhi tune suna naa sab helps ko baat karte, ki aaj rajkumari paani mein uski parchaiyee dekhegi, joh aage chal kar uska pati hoga, toh I am her world be husband, toh mujhe kya kar usse apna chehra dikhana padega naa, warna meri ishita confuse ho jayegi.
Mihir -aap pagal ho gaye hai bhai, can't u see her bodyguards r everywhere, aapko dekhte hi goli maar denge.
Raman -aise kaise maar denge, suna nahi meri ishita ne meri lambi umar ke liye vrat rakha hai, bechari subah se mere liye bhookhi pyaasi hai, I have to show my face to complete her fast.
Mihir -aapke liye nahi Rajveer ke liye rakha hai.
Raman -correction, usne teej ka vrat apne hone wale pati ke liye rakha hai, joh ki main hoon. So I am doing to show her my reflection in the water.
Mihir -but how bhai, princess ke bodyguards khade hai.
Raman -but they r very far from the bank of the river, puri jagah khaali hai, I will just go and show her my reflection aur phir wapas.
Mihir -but I have heard ki Rajveer aane wala hai. What if he came when u go there.
Raman -usse entrance par hi rokna hoga.
Mihir -but how bhai.
Raman -u will stop him .
Mihir got shocked hearing this and said -kya, main kaise madad kar sakta hoon.
Raman -usse rokne mein tujhe hi meri help karni hogi.
Mihir -but kaise bhai.
Raman -u go and stand there in crowd, jab Rajveer ji car aayegi, tujhe uske aage behosh hoke girna hoga, so that we can buy some time aur main wahan se bhaag paun.
Mihir got scared hearing this and said -r u even listening what u r telling bhai. Main jaakar gaadi ke aage behosh ho jaun,what if he drive the car over me, main toh muft mein shaheed ho jaaunga.
Raman -fattu Kahin ka, yahan mujhe pyaar ho gaya and u r scared to do such a small thing for me, agar meri jagah tujhe pyaar hua hota naa, main tere liye suli par bhi chad jaata.
Mihir folded his hand and said -main aapki tarah mahaan nahi hoon. Aap please wapas chalo.
Raman -no ways I will not go back till I show my girl, my reflection in water. Aur waise bhi yeh plan B hai, agar woh time par aa gaya toh yeh karna hai, other wise u can just stand there silently. OK I am going, he said seeing ishita going to the river and walked towards the river hiding from all.
Mihir tried to stop him but in vain. At last mihir went and stand in the crowd to fall infront of Rajveer's car if Raman couldn't make it on time.
Ishita was feeling famished ,she look around and saw noone was there, she thought to drink water from the small bottle she brought with her hiding in her pallu. She was about to open it to drink but stopped thinking what if something really went bad with Rajveer due to her breaking the fast.
Ishita -nahi nahi, agar shaadi se pehle hamare pati ko kuch ho gaya toh sab hume abhagan(unlucky)kahenge. Aap apna vrat nahi tod sakti, she thought and went to the river. She sat and left the diya in the river. Then she closed her eyes and prayed to the almighty to always keep her would be husband safe and bless her with a loving and caring husband. After praying, she slowly open her eyes to see Rajveer's reflection in the water and saw someone looking at her smiling fully showing his cute dimples, ishita smiled seeing him and thought -kunwar ji toh bahut handsome hai, sach ke rajkumar.she thought and was getting up but got disbalanced.she was about to fall when Raman ran to her and hold her tight. Her eyes were closing due to exertion.
She was feeling too thirsty, she took her tongue to her lips and said -paani paani.
Raman looked around to find some clean water to make her drink but couldn't find anything. He picked her in his arms and took her to her palki. He make her sit in the palki and saw the small bottle of water. He opened the cap and make her drink the water. She drank it in a go ,then Raman cleaned her face with the little water that was left. He lovingly caressed her face and softly pecked her forehead. He was just admiring her beauty while she was sleeping or may be fainted being exhausted.
He was busy in admiring her when he heard that everyone was shouting Rajveer's name making Raman realise that he reached. He quickly pecked her forehead again and went back hiding from everyone.
Soon Raman reached in the crowd and saw mihir standing in the crowd making a scared face and saying -kunwar ji ki jai ho.
Raman smiled seeing mihir standing like scared kitten and went to him. He stand next to mihir and said in mihir's ear-kunwar ji ki jai ho, ishita ki shaadi mujhse ho.
Mihir looked at him and said -thank god bhai u r here, I was so scared for u. Did u meet her.
Raman smiled and said -tujhe kya bataun mihir, kya kya hua mere saath.
Mihir -aisa kya hua bhai.
Raman -come with me, I will tell u. Tu kya yahan jai ho karna khada hai. He said and took mihir out of the crowd.
Mihir -really bhai, I was standing there unnecessarily ,u told me to stand there and behosh hone ke liye bhi kaha tha, yeh achcha hai, aap pyaar karo, aur marwao mujhe .he was saying when Raman took him to the car, both settled in the car and raman started driving.
Mihir -ab batao bhai, kya hua.
Raman -i saw her, she saw me in water, just the way it should be, smiled at me, it was magical. But poor she, she was so famished with this fast that she fainted. Ek toh bechari ne vrat kiya Upar se itne bhaari kapde aur gehne, hawa tak nahi chal rahi thi, my poor baby fainted. I held her tight and make her drink water. This is not the way, khana bhi mat do, paani bhi mat do, itne heavy clothes pehna do and make her sit with diya. I so wanted to hug her tight and protect her from all this, but I couldn't do anything. But I am happy that atleast I could make her drink water. She badly needed it. U know I even touched her, her soft cheeks, even pecked her forehead, she is just so innocent and pure. I fell more for her after seeing her.he said closing his eyes.
Mihir -u know bhai, at first I was thinking that it's just ur infatuation but now I am believing that u really love her and now I really want her to be urs. He said smiling making Raman smile too.
Raman -i really wish aisa hi ho. He said and continued driving.
On the other hand, rajveer reached the place with a lady.
Lady -go inside rajveer.
Rajveer-is it all necessary priya. I don't want to go, yeh bekar ka ritual kyun and why she is fasting for me even before marriage, I don't want to go to her. Please don't force me.
Priya-please try to understand rajveer, u have to marry her. Hamare liye chale jaiye.yeh inn logon ka ritual hai, she has to see ur face in the reflection. She said and rajveer went inside irritated. He went behind the curtain and saw ishita in the palki sleeping, the diya was already in the water.
He waited for there sometime and then went out.
Rajveer -its done, ishita got unconscious, I make her sit in the palki, tell the help to take her back to palace. He said and went to his car, priya went with him and told the helps to take ishita back.
Soon all reached the palace. Rajveer and priya was warmly welcomed there, Ishita's mother ask about the ritual and rajveer said everything went fine, ishita saw him in the water. Ishita's parent got happy coz for them only the couples made in heaven could see each other in such auspicious time. They took rajveer and priya to their respective room.
Soon ishita too came back and she was taken to her room. Her mother told the helps to let her rest as she is very tired and instructed them to get ishita ready next morning for her official meeting with Rajveer.
On the other hand, Raman and mihir reached bhalla house only to see toshiji waiting for them for dinner. They happily hugged toshiji and went to freshen up, as mijire lives alone in the city, he use to eat at Raman's place.
Soon both sat to eat, mihir start eating happily enjoying the food praising toshiji for making such awesome food. Raman was also about to eat but he remembered Ishita's face and stopped.
Raman -when she is not eating anything for me then how can I eat food. I should also fast for her, if not the full day, then may be half day. He thought and left the food saying, his tummy is upset.
Toshiji asked, what happened worriedly but Raman said nothing much to worry, he is just tired. Want to rest. Saying so he went to his room while mihir continued eating.
