I don't think you were wrong in your initial assumption but he has his and chandhini's memories there too. He seems to be running from himself because somewhere he knows he didnt do right thing with Chandhini. And I think he want them to feel the pain of losing their home

You are probably right and i hope the CVs do focus upon this coz otherwise i'll feel a bit cheated.

Yeah...this was another thing I had trouble digesting in today's episode. Unless there's gonna be another 'twist' and he didn't actually 'sell' it to anyone...personally it made no sense to me that'd he do that either.
