It's not about the money for SRK When you are the King Khan and are rumoured to have coughed up over 20 crores just as advance tax, we guess money is not the only motive behind roles and appearances anymore. Shah Rukh Khan known for his benevolent nature seems to be in quite a dildar mood of late. The actor has made numerous appearances of late without charging his filmmakers a single penny. Agreeing to a cameo appearance in Viveck Vaswani's Dulha Mil Gaya which also stars Fardeen Khan and Sushmita Sen, Khan gave his dates to his buddy Vaswani without asking for a rupee. Next came B.R. Chopra's Bhoothnath which also stars the Big B. "For Bhoothnath again SRK didn't charge them anything. In fact he even used his own accessories and clothes for the role. And when the filmmaker tried to give him a Bentley as a token of appreciation, SRK turned that down too saying that he would accept it once the film made a 100 crores at the box office!" says a source. Of late, after the success of his shirtless number Dard-E-Disco, SRK has also become the item king all of a sudden. "He was requested by Rakesh Roshan to film a special item song for Krazzy 4 and SRK was more than happy. He recently shot for it and it has turned out very well," adds the source. This is however, not the first time. Just before the release of OSO, SRK also made a special appearance in a song for Sajid Khan's Heyy Babyy at the very last moment – again free of cost! And the latest friendly appearance that SRK has given the nod to is for one of his closest friends, Salman Khan's, Mr. & Mrs. Khanna. "The Khan family has been very kind to SRK from his first day in Mumbai. His kids and Arbaaz and Malaika's son are close friends. And since Salman happily agreed to an appearance in OSO, SRK is more than ready to return the favour," says the source. SRK and Farah Khan had managed a coup of sorts by getting 31 stars to appear in a single song in OSO. Sources from the film say that all it took was a phone call from Shah Rukh and the actor was very touched to see the response he readily received. "Although he thanked each and every one after the shoot and gifted them all a very expensive hamper filled with goodies, he still is ready to do anything for his Bollywood family," informs our source. |
