So Bua Dadi is thinking that her intention is right that's why whatever she is doing is right. Yes intentions do matters infact its mostly about intentions but with right intention if u know ur actions can hurt several people than you are wrong she very well knew that her actions will hurt so many people specifically Kirti and most of all Naksh still she believes that only intentions matters. Well I'm reading few folks think that they are twisting religious rituals well that's what we humans do most of the times. We human do twist religious beliefs and rituals in our favor therefore whatever they are showing is a reflection of several people around though its a regressive idea but it exist. If they show proper conclusion to it than it will not be promoted further infact it can be a very good way to show how several other rituals and beliefs that are created by humans can hurt people's feelings and break their confidence they should be avoided. But if they show Naira apologizing to Bua Dadi later on as Bua Dadi's intention was right than I personally will have objection to it. If u show a regressive approach that is being followed than give a proper conclusion to it.

No intentions alone do not matter.
If it did, then Kdadi was also right when she wanted to change Naira's name, because she was doing it for the welfare.
When all evil MIL, plot against the FL, according to them they do it for the good of their son, so even their intention isn't wrong.
If itis all only about intentions, then when a child of a woman is killed in the womb, by her MIL after knowing it is a female, that also would not be wrong. Because the MIL is doing it because she doesn't want her son to spend a lot of money on the wedding when the girl grows big and all. So she is doing it with the "good" intention of saving her son's money.

Intentions do matter in certain cases.
Like take the love triangle, Gayu wasn't evil, she became a third wheel, she was delusional, but never purposefully wanted to separate Kaira.

yah that's true and I don't want any of Naira, Karthik, Kirti or even Naksh to apologize to Bua Dadi merely because her intentions were right.

For me Action and Effect matter than Intention.

Anyone can justify their intentions to be well-meaning from their twisted beliefs but when the effect is to downgrade someone because you believe them to be 'unpure' for something out of their control or something that should not be seen as an awful thing (divorce even when we disregard the abuse aspect of Keerti's situation happens as a last resort because the couple is not happy in that relationship and why should one bear the burden of a relationship they dont want anymore...its awful and horrifying that society attaches a negative stigma to it) then it's just wrong and disgusting.

Intentions do matter Ofcourse.Lets say there is a thief holding a knife and a surgeon holding a knife, the thief wants to kill a person with that knife while surgeon is trying to save someone's life now if we put the surgeon in jail saying he is criminal for holding knife that is laughable. But what grandmother did here is wrong she thought her granddaughter is impure without understanding anything.Instead if they showed that her granddaughter went through physical and mental abuse from previous marriage and it affected her and granddaughter a lot. They could have shown like she consulting family priest to help guide them through this with the suddhikaran how it helps them get rid of negative energy and look forward to a brighter future. But Ofcourse they used shuddhikaran like a knife in thief's hand and twisted it to their cause.I seriously don't blame them Lot of times to be honest most of Hindus are ignorant about lot of rituals.
